He has some pretty interesting things to say concerning Bible Prophesy and the End Times. Do you think it is as close as he thinks it is. I know nobody knows the day nor hour, but we will know the season. What do you think about Jack Van Impe? Imposter or does he know his stuff?

As far as prophecy goes I think he knows his stuff. I don't listen to him very much since I never know when he is on. He does talk a lot about Rick Warren and this Chrislam thing. But, I have never seen warren actually endorsing Islam.

I also do think everything will be coming to a head soon. A lot of not only what he says is happening but a lot of events that have been prophecied are coming to pass.

Such an interesting show he has!

We need to watch how prophecy is unfolding. It seems to me that it started with the holocaust and the finding of the deep sea scrolls, etc. The world was deeply affected in about 1500, with the printing press, Luther, America discovered, many things. We have just as profound a change in our world. For us, and what each person needs to do and know, is how what is learned by the scrolls they found has opened up understanding of ancient scripture. At first, this only impacted the colleges and our leaders, but it is sifting down to us, now. I think we should listen.

I have been studying the reasons the Jews denied that Christ is the Messiah. It was because their scholars knew all about what the bible said about Him, and Jesus didn't fit with all of what they found. They were depending on Jesus as He will be when He comes again, as a warrior. When He came as a Savior, they didn't accept Him.

We need to be careful of deciding the details of just what God will do. We could get it wrong like the Jews did.

Although I do not agree to some of his doctrines, I still listen to him. Hal Lindsey is also good to listen to.

I agree. I'm not sure why though. Some people just rub the wrong way. I know a lot of prophecy is coming true. I can see that myself. Maybe he focuses on it too much? I have heard him talking about Rick Warren and how he is trying to support a unification between Christianity and Islam. But, I have never seen anything that warren has said to support Van Impe's claims. I know Warren does talk with Muslims. Van Impe did lose his spot on another secular channel for saying stuff.

Rick Warren facilitates relationship between Christians and Muslims in a program he named "King's Way" that expresses a set of theological principles including acknowledging that Christians and Muslims worship the same God and agree with the principles of "love God" and "love thy neighbor." One of the principles states that neither Christians nor Muslims should attempt to convert each other to their belief system.

Saddleback is one the churches I've been a member of and I can tell you they had special events in which they reach out to Mosques in the community for picnics and Rick has engaged in Ramadan fasts with Muslims and addressed Muslim groups in Washington DC.

Rick Warren builds bridge to Muslims | muslims, warren, saddleback - Life - The Orange County Register

I understand what he is trying to do in building a more positive society but I disagree with Rick on his approach.

I believe Muslims are a mission field and Islam is a dangerous false view of the world.

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

If this man and his wife preached the truth, then they wouldnt be on TBN, they would be standing alone, with the few remnant bold enough to preach the truth!

Acts 1:6,7 When they therefore were come together, they asked of hims saying Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons which the Father hath put in his own power.

Thanks for the information. I could not find anything directly from him other than that he has said this is a rumor that will not go away. Like you said, his intention may be good but not the mannet that he is attempting it. As far as the same God? I have never really looked to see what or who muslims perceive as God. I did two weeks ago see their account about the conception of Jesus. I thought it was pretty whacked...

This is in part why I don't get a good feeling about the guy. I got a hunch that he is setting people up to receive the beast and false prophet.
I have to disagree on that. he warns people about it. How could he be setting them up. Just curious about that.

Does that make him bad because he is a pre-tribber? What about mid-tribbers or the people who say there is no rapture at all? Or what about those who are not sure either way? I'm not defending him really. I say if there is a rapture...good. If not, then believers had best make sure they know who they stand with. Especially, if our lives will depend on whether we stand by Jesus or deny him. The future is in God's hands. I know that he is my Savior today and tomorrow. But, beyond that I leave in His hands.
