Tonight in my bible study group we were discussing the concepts of time and whether they will be applied in heaven. We all know that God's idea of time is much different then ours. Will there be time in heaven?

What do you guys think?! :)

Revelation 10:6 "And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer" (KJV)

Revelation 21:1 "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. "

Revelation 21:23 "And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."

Revelation 22:5 "And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever."

It sounds to me as if the earth is recreated, without water, showing we won't need food anymore I believe. It also seems to say that time is abolished, since time was created on the first day of creation and did not exist prior to it. No more sun, no more moon, no more cycles, no more needing to fuel our bodies, no more marking time. That's the way I read it, time is abolished. :)

What I would like to know is what I will be doing after I've gotten to heaven. Will I be a ministering angel or a guardian angel or whatever other kind of angel there is.

Time as we know it, hours, mins, seconds etc is really a man-made thing to help us in our lives. It was traditionally made relative to the sun, moon etc, but in modern times it is referenced to precise atomic clocks. Who knows, in heaven time might be relative to the regular occurance of worship, or something like that.
