I have been on this forum not very long but I just cannot tollerate it because of the non-christian things on here. No I am not refering to hot theological discussion and debate and arguments concerning the Bible. I love those and defending my Reformed Convictions but so many non-christians using the name have of Christians are ever present that I simply will not waste my time.

The room which claims to be Christian never defines what a Christian is nor has a clear enforced Doctrinal Statement about who Jesus is and What he has done. I am not one of those who thinks only Reformed churches are true churches and only Calvinists will be in Heaven, but when it comes to the rejection of the Trinity and promoting arianism or other ancient heresies I simply cannot tollerate it. I hope noone here gives money to the server.

What would I like? I being traditional prefer to use the ancient creeds (Apostles, Nicene- any version or all of them, and the Athenasian creed) as the standard but if someone wants to write an abridged ''statement of faith'' I would be content.

If you want to make a different general religon forum that is fine but by claiming to be Christian there is a historic heritage there that defines the term. As it stands a mormon, pelegian, arian, jehovah's witness, reformed, catholic, orthodox, unitarian, various cults, etc... could all post- This is simply not acceptable to me.

I hope the posts I made were useful and provoked some thought and that I was able to be of small encouragement to others. I post this not because I want to divide or cause distress but hopefully encourage everyone to e-mail the site to encourage them to have a clear enforceable Statement of faith, creed or confession and ACTUALLY ENCORCE IT. This is for the spiritual good of all persons who are guillable.

In Christ,

Please report the posts you feel are blatantly heretical. Read that sticky thread up top. :)

Keep in mind, we simply do not have the people power to read every word entered in the forums. So if you see something you think is blatantly heretical, please use the report thread button.

When folks complain about 'false teachings' but never give me a direct link to it, I generally just assume the person is simply mad about someone disagreeing with them.

Because so many times in the past, I've had folks come to me with 'complaints' of false teachings in the forums. So I ask them over and over, well where is it at? And they won't tell me! They just go off in a huff, frustrated that I won't accept their opinion on a given matter.

So since we simply cannot read every word entered in the forums, if you have a legit complaint about a blatantly false teaching, please report that specific thread using the report post button. Trust me, this is more helpful than making general complaint posts about how these forums are just over run with 'false teachings'.

Just curious, what are the doctrinal statements defining what this board considers to be heretical?

For what it's worth, I do like the original poster's idea of keeping with a minimum of accepting one of the ancient creeds like the Apostles or Nicene creed. It provides a nice common basis.

As Christians we walk in a world that rejects us, trys to decieve, hates and attacks us. We also know that even within the church we were warned that many in sheeps clothing would seek to destroy. But mostly we all as christians try to seek and find the truth. I have always belived that by Loving and following Jesus that his truth, forgiveness and love will overcome all that tries to decieve. So by that faith I continue to be that which Jesus guides me to be knowing that through all of us he works and heals. So no matter how difficult the path we should continue in this hope. Keep the faith, God bless, pickles

I don't know how he'd survive in the real world as a pastor if he can't tolerate other people's views on a chat/forum.

You make a good point, OP, but I think it'd be more productive to just report anything that is counter to Christian teachings. Of course, after charitably pointing it out to the person who posted it.

You may not have intended for this to be counter-productive, but it is, and slightly melodramatic.

Blessings.

I'm closing this thread. The poster said what he wanted to say. He's been answered. So there is no need to go over and over on this thread.:D
