When is Christ coming again. If you believe all of Scripture then surely the parts about 'the third heaven' being real and we will be 'caught up in the sky' and, 'Repent! The kingdom of heaven is at hand' ring true to you, too.

But, yeah, yada, blah, blah, ya, ludefisk, ludefisk, ya betcha, ya betcha, we DON'T KNOW THE DAY OR THE HOUR, which should tell you of those giving such prophecy of past coming days of Christ, from was it Orwell in '1984,' and, who was that recent guy predicting the world ending, and, then, most recent, the Mayan calendar said things ended in 2012, but, they are ALL wrong the moment they open their mouth.

But, what are signs of the end times near?

Scripture says something like 'Signs will come as in the days of Noah,' and, we're certainly not naive to the fact that God grew tired of the 'foreplay' of society, living out how they wanted, incest, carousing immorally, etc. and, it 'grieved' God's heart all that was happening in early times, days of Noah, and, God gave everyone a sign to see then, an ark ! And, no one believed. THAT truth right there FASCINATES me, man was so unrulably sinful that NONE but Noah and his family believed.

Can you just imagine the persecution that surely came Noah's way !

"Hey, Noah, What in the world are you doing, building an ark in unsundry times. Look at our life now, it's sooo good, it's like we're all just doing what we want with free , bottomless printing of money. I'm going to sister Suzie's tonight and daughter Lori's tomorrow. All free. And, look at you, a slave to a guy you call God, who doesn't do anything for you, how in the world can you say God exists!"

"By faith," replies Noah.

"Ha, ha, ha, ha-ha-ha......."

By faith, don't we, Christ peeps, who know Him, only know that we are obtaining salvation for our faithfulness to Him. And, we, in THIS AGE, also have GRACE, right ? :)

In fact, because of God's grace, what we believe He did on the cross through His Scripture, and, believe His work in our life, and, others, the words we hear of others' healings, the miracles seen, perhaps, in our own friends' lives, or, fanily's, or, even, the Lord willing, showing a great sign of Him in His healing of us of something terminal.
Yes, this is how we know, ALL these things, and, though we do not know the day or the hour Scripture is replete with verses of those who know Him KNOW that He is, indeed, coming again.
So, the OP comes full circle.

Do you believe Christ is coming again?
Of course, we do believe :)

But, what about 'know,' what are some scripture verses that show us we, indeed, are to not just believe but 'know' that Christ is coming again.

By this knowing, does this help you not just believe in God but know that you ARE obtaining salvation with certainty.

ReinitIn is not on here anymore, but she brought up a good point about, we are 'obtaining our salvation.'

But, how do we KNOW it is obtained ?

What scripture verses tell us our salvation is ALREADY a known quantity (and quality) of our life?

Note, too, this is not a thread to be about what one has to do to obtain salvation, let's, please, not make this an OSAS vs reformed theology debate, but, INSTEAD, how do we know that we are already told in Scripture that we are going to heaven?
Name VERSES that Paul, etc. tell us we can know whom we have believed and that He is able to keep us until 'that' day , which, is, not so coincidentally, when He comes again :)

Well, on the Day of Pentecost when the Lord Jesus ascended into Heaven, the two men clothed in white garments said,

"Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven." (Acts 1:11)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then, there is also the promise of the Lord Jesus Himself, Who said,
He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. (Rev.22:20)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then, there is Peter, who said to Jesus, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." (John 6:68)

We KNOW because other godly eyewitnesses have told us that these factors are legitimately true, "for faithful is He who calls us.

Indeed. I'm on the same page with ReinItIn. The one Scripture that comes to mind is:

Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the beginning and the end. Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the Tree of Life, and may enter the gates into the city. (Rev. 22:12-14)

The saints are promised salvation, but the actual reward of eternal life (or salvation from not dying) happens upon the return of our Savior Jesus Christ. :)

I could not agree more. Thanks for pointing that out BananaPie (sounds good to me.......I will take two slices and one for later and will share the other piece with you)
