I won't date a woman that walks around with a doily on her head.
Well, I was married to one for 28 years. She was the most godly person of either sex that I have ever know, including my missionary parents, my many pastors friends and the wonderful brethren at seminary. But I guess many people really don't want that kind of woman; and I didn't either at first. But I credit my beloved wife, now with the Lord, for leading me through her totally selfless life to fully dedicate my own life to the Lord.

Lol @ Therapon. *poke*

So if the Israelites had wore doilies on their heads then it would have had the same effect on the death angel(s) as the blood of lambs did in your view right?
Well, the ambiguous “destroyer” of the firstborn (Ex 12:23) looks to be Yahweh Himself.

2 "On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn--both men and animals--and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord.
13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.

So much for that correlation.
So if I understand you, New Testament ordinances don't really do anything, but are just "busy work" for the Church? Or could the Church of today be just like our beloved brother Paul prophesied it would be in 2Timothy 3:1-5?

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof."

Believe me, obedience to God's word has power.

I actually like the Hijabs (though not the reason why they often wear them).

I love the style of the blue one. Kind of the Old-World European look. I think I would marry a mennonite gal, even if she wasn't monergist.

I have nothing personal against Niqabs. I have never once been tempted to lust when in the prescence of a Muslim gal. I am so relieved by it. I'm not against guys wearing something similar either.

I know ladies who never take their head coverings off, except to shower and to sleep.

comes from a conviction they ought not pray without it, and one prays on and off all day.
