Not a basis but I believe they can be a springboard for one's faith journey. God can use anything (and I mean anything) to bring people to him for his Kingdom and for his glory. Some people place too much emphasis on miracles and others not enough. But I think only the Triune God can be the true foundation for our faith.

No. We are taught in no uncertain terms that many will heal in the name of Jesus, and many will perform other miracles in the name of Jesus Christ, but come the Kingdom He will not know them. We all must strive for the weightier gifts of the Holy Spirit, those and the fuits of them will carry us to the Jesus fully, being faith, hope and love, especially love for without love we are nothing.

Why did Jesus perform Miracles? It was to prove his divinity and who he was, the miracles I have seen have all led to people becoming believers, just as it was with Jesus. I have had healing a miracle if you like, When I gave testimony of this in my church the following Sunday, a number of people were spoken to by what I said and it impacted on their lives and changed how they thought and acted.

I also heard first hand account from one of our church members who ran a soccer event, how one lad playing Soccer twisted his knee, started to swell up, couple of Christians running the event prayed over him, and the swelling went down, the pain went, he jumped up and continued to play, the parents saw this and instantly became believers and accepted Christ a few days later.

why one should struggle for miracle, breathing everyday is infact a biggest miracle, and i feel that only the non beleivers look out for signs and miralces, as mentioned in the bible satan can even come as an angle of light so if miracles do happen who knows from which source they or it is, so i feel that one should not struggle nor look for miracle rather than be grateful to our creator for the biggest miracle of our life that we do breath, so my opinion is one should not struggle for miracle as miracles happens every moment in our life which we dont understand nor comprehand.

miracles is indeed the work of satan and what we get to see on tv these days is really very very weird you name the preacher and its ministry there is no light nor truth in them and its the work of the forces of darkness as some of the so called renounded ministers have admitted in on geographical channel that they are in contact with some departed souls so yea beware of such miralces and of those people who profess to have the ability to talk in tongues thats my personal opinion

In the book of Mathew Jesus says to those who says lord lord in your name we did this we did that and we cast out demons and worked wonders and miracles and what does Jesus replies to them He says i donot know you, Why does He says so if they had worked wonders and miracles? Just think about it its all because they were not doing the will of His father thats keeping of His commandments so yes miracles has no importance, and Rinu God knows when to grant us our favours and needs as when you talk of your mother God wanted her more than you and your family so yea that was His will but praying for a sick person is indeed our first duty so dont feel bad about it nor like others look for a sign in your prayers, but wait on lord to answer you /

If God wants to heal then He Will. I am sorry to hear that you lost your mum, loosing a loved one is often a challenging point with peoples walk with God, but yes, we will be re-united for eternity!

Do not fall for the lies of the prosperity and faith movements. Basically they will tell you that you can have anything and everything if you pray for it, including healing, however if you do not get what you prayed for then they tell you its down to things like not having enough faith, you did not pray right or whatever, all nonsense and lies.

GOD will awnser prayer requests with either, Yes No or Not Now. If God chooses to say no, its for a good reason, often one we have no idea why, but God sees the whole picture and knows what is best, even if its not what we think is right.

John 14 v 11 'Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves'
This verse would seem to say that believing in Jesus based on a miracle / miracles in OK. Of course you need to then grow up in your faith through meditating on the Bible and talking to Jesus regularly

Miracles is an essential part of preaching the gospel. Like Paul said. One sows the seed (which is to give the Word of God), one Waters ( which is to provide evidence of the existence of God (usually a miracle would do this part justice) ) but God gives the increase.

So it is essentially God that gives the increase. But we have to perform both duties. Sowing and watering.

Some are good speakers and they are exceptional at preaching. Others almost do not speak at all, but God gave them a ministry of healing. Together the two work beautifully for God. Yet again. it is God that gives the increase.

No, they cannot be "the reason or basis" for saving faith. Those churches who teaches so are at least in grave error, possibly even deadly heresy.

Heb.11

[1] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
This said, it is a miracle that one believes, as it is the work of God (John 6:29). Much of today's so called "miracles" are often the work of men.

I confess I have witnesse a miracle and more, but it was only after I trusted the Father and was drawn to Jesus. After this my faith was increased, it was a gift in the first place, and on the Way Yahweh has provided for me in His Lamb, I have witnesse miracles, but they were never a basis for my faith. Faith can only be in God, after, miracles may come to reinforce what is already built.

Healing can and will happen for one who has faith, it does not matter what kind of healing it is. Miracles are just one of the ways god can show his glory, and one of the ways ppl come to faith. Because sometimes we need a miracle to beleive. Jesus performed miracles and taught with power and authority, because of this he become a well known teacher, healer and prophet. As quoted from Jesus( If i can? Anything is possible for one who believes) The man said I do believe, help me to believe more!)

even i hv witnessed some miracles aswell, but i think there is a will of GOD above it, to heal or not,
here the confusion arises is that , if i had no miracles does that mean i dont hv faith ????

There could be a number of reasons. One is it may not yet be time for the healing, often times god will not answer right away. You may have to ask over and over, you may have to fast and pray and read the word daily, Sometimes god tests our faith by seeing how bad we want it. I have prayed for my diebetes to be healed even though according to medical science i cannot, but I always keep strong because i remember what he said( You may ask for anything in my name and i will give it to you.) Or( So i tell you, believe you have received what you ask for in prayer) Then there is( Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door shall open for you) Many scripture tells us that radical faith such as healing or a miracle is something god encourages, however sometimes it may take a while
