Are we dealing with a sickie here? I’ve been considering everything you guys have been telling me about God. He is Jesus, and he is God…their the same person? One minute he is Jesus, the next he is God?

Jesus says, “The father is greater than me.”

God says, “This is my beloved son.”

Jesus says, “Don’t pray to me, but to the father through me.”

God says, “All who believe in Jesus will have life.”

Jesus says, “No one comes to me unless the father has sent them.”

God says, “Jesus is the first born.”

Jesus says, “Father, why have you forsaken me?”

God says, “I have always been.”

This God, who is also Jesus…is this guy bipolar?

I don’t like what you guys call false Gods, but they aren’t bipolar, and they don’t kill billions of people because of what the first two people did.

Can you guys help me,,,I’m really confused? Something is wrong here. God/Jesus did say, I am a giver of life, and a killer.” I Sa 2:6

Is God, or Jesus, or whatever person he is at any given time, a bipolar serial killer?

No, God is not bipolar. He is perfectly balanced. He is Love and He is also Just and Holy.

He perfectly loves righteousness and holiness and justice. And He perfectly hates sin, wickedness, and evil. If God did not execute His wrath and Judgment on evildoers and workers of iniquity, then He would not be a Just God. But Because the God of the Bible is a Just God, He must execute His wrath and judgment upon the wicked.

If he hated sin, and evil, why did he put the tree of knowledge smack in the middle of Eden, easily accessible bearing wonderful, tasty fruits? If he really hated evil, he would have made the tree very tall so you could not eat the fruit. God is evil. He tells people to kill their children to prove their allegiance to him.(old testament). He requires bloodshed of every non believing human, whether a heathen king, or a newborn infant.

Theological breakdown of the Hypostatic Union by Matt Slick...God bless you sir

Jesus' Two Natures: God and Man
by Matt Slick

Jesus is the most important person who has ever lived since he is the savior, God in human flesh. He is not half God and half man. He is fully divine and fully man. In other words, Jesus has two distinct natures: divine and human. Jesus is the Word who was God and was with God and was made flesh, (John 1:1,14). This means that in the single person of Jesus is both a human and divine nature, God and man. The divine nature was not changed when the Word became flesh (John 1:1,14). Instead, the Word was joined with humanity (Col. 2:9). Jesus' divine nature was not altered. Also, Jesus is not merely a man who "had God within Him" nor is he a man who "manifested the God principle." He is God in flesh, second person of the Trinity. "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word," (Heb. 1:3). Jesus' two natures are not "mixed together," (Eutychianism) nor are they combined into a new God-man nature (Monophysitism). They are separate yet act as a unit in the one person of Jesus. This is called the Hypostatic Union.
The following chart should help you see the two natures of Jesus "in action":

GOD
MAN

He is worshiped (Matt. 2:2,11; 14:33).
He worshiped the Father (John 17).

He was called God (John 20:28; Heb. 1:8)
He was called man (Mark 15:39; John 19:5).

He was called Son of God (Mark 1:1)
He was called Son of Man (John 9:35-37)

He is prayed to (Acts 7:59).
He prayed to the Father (John 17).

He is sinless (1 Pet. 2:22; Heb. 4:15).
He was tempted (Matt. 4:1).

He knows all things (John 21:17).
He grew in wisdom (Luke 2:52).

He gives eternal life (John 10:28).
He died (Rom. 5:8).

All the fullness of deity dwells in Him (Col. 2:9).
He has a body of flesh and bones (Luke 24:39).

The Communicatio Idiomatum

A doctrine that is related to the Hypostatic Union is the communicatio idiomatum (Latin for "communication of properties"). It is the teaching that the attributes of both the divine and human natures are ascribed to the one person of Jesus. This means that the man Jesus could lay claim to the glory He had with the Father before the world was made (John 17:5), claim that He descended from heaven, (John 3:13), and also claim omnipresence, (Matt. 28:20). All of these are divine qualities that are laid claim to by Jesus; therefore, the attributes of the divine properties were claimed by the person of Jesus.
One of the most common errors that non-Christian cults make is not understanding the two natures of Christ. For example, the Jehovah's Witnesses focus on Jesus' humanity and ignore His divinity. They repeatedly quote verses dealing with Jesus as a man and try and set them against scripture showing that Jesus is also divine. On the other hand, the Christian Scientists do the reverse. They focus on the scriptures showing Jesus' divinity to the extent of denying His true humanity.
For a proper understanding of Jesus and, therefore, all other doctrines that relate to Him, His two natures must be properly understood and defined. Jesus is one person with two natures. This is why He would grow in wisdom and stature (Luke 2:52) yet know all things (John 21:17). He is the Divine Word that became flesh (John 1:1,14).
The Bible is about Jesus (John 5:39). The prophets prophesied about Him (Acts 10:43). The Father bore witness of Him (John 5:37; 8:18). The Holy Spirit bore witness of Him (John 15:26). The works Jesus did bore witness of Him (John 5:36; 10:25). The multitudes bore witness of Him (John 12:17). And, Jesus bore witness of Himself (John 14:6; 18:6).
Other verses to consider when examining His deity are John 10:30-33; 20:28;Col. 2:9; Phil. 2:5-8; Heb. 1:6-8; and 2 Pet. 1:1.
1 Tim. 2:5 says, "For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." Right now, there is a man in heaven on the throne of God. He is our advocate with the Father (1 John 2:1). He is our Savior (Titus 2:13). He is our Lord (Rom. 10:9-10). He is Jesus.

Tree was a test if they be faithful. Say you were a teacher and you had a student who said they studied enough and know enough, the teacher is to see the student in how much he knows by of course giving him a test. And he doesn't want to kill people he wants to heal people and save them.

If there were two truths, one false, and one from God.which would you give your life for? The things I wrote in the OP are not my feelings. They are things others have said. I just wanted them to see what they believe if somebody else believed them.
Adam and eve were not given a test. They were given a command.

A man can be a son, a husband and a father at the same time.

Why would not God, a being with powers beyond our imagination, be able to be both God and man if He wants to?

Sure he could. He could even be a rock star if he wanted. But, he has a son. Why would he pretend he and the son are not the same person? I have shown proof they are not the same person, and everybody puts the scriptures aside. I am not trying to change what people think. I just put the proof out there, and people can take it, or leave it.

God isn't Jesus. There. Problem solved.

This is a misconception that I'm sure I'll be 'proven wrong' on by somebody who replies. But the fact is, God isn't Jesus and Jesus ain't God.

And ... we see a death of our 'human nature' with our death, or a death of our 'mortality', so we can live an eternal life immortal. In a way, the mortal state, is the sinful state, for everyone.

i think the purpose of it is for people to get some idea of what it's actually like to live totally bound by knowledge of right and wrong, in a sinful state.

So when we get to God we can say 'yea living around, and immersed by, and taking part of, sin, is pretty bad'. Something like that.

Not so much a test, as choice. God created man for his enjoyment. He wanted some one to worship him because they choose to. Man was given free choice to obey God or not. For this to happen a condtion of disobedience was created. When man became to wicked God would destory those he found wicked and preserve those he found holy. Until His Covenant with Abraham which would eventually lead to Salvation being Offered to everyone.

That is a terrible thing to write, quite unnecessary. In a previous post you suggested you were a 'fisher of men' ? well, you ought to be thoughtful on scripture. The fruit of the Spirit is self control and gentleness...this post is not gentle. <><

Ok, if you were talking about a person and not God you would still be wrong. Bi-polar is not the same as a split or multiple personality disorder. If you are going to try to offend by your questions please have the courtesy to at least phrase them correctly.

Hi Dominec
No, God is always the same :) it's us who stray and change and say different things .. the confusion is looking to people "who are all different and looking at differen things " rather than God who no
Matter what question "we personally" go directly to Him
With , will always answer us the same .. much of the confusion is, we go to people instead of God repeatedly for answers ..

I am not offensive. The op is an example of what you people have been telling me. I posted it in that manner so some of you who have said things like, "Jesus and God are the same person," hear how it sounds to me because those things go against the Bible. I do understand if anybody says anything that shows what you believe is not true, you will do anything to shut them up.
Do not threaten me with a report. Threathen God...it is his word I have been teaching for over forty five years.
I Will not hide Bible truth because you defend what your religion teaches. If you have truth, nothing anybody says can destroy it? If it is not truth...Gods word will destroy what some of you teach.

There are a number of heretical Oneness Pentecostals on this forum Domenic. They have been repeatedly refuted perhaps hundreds of times down to the last detail. Believe me, they've heard it all before and I was one of the people they heard it from. At this point, it's all a rerun.

As for Ugly, well I've seen him stir the pot on occassions and he will report you. You're 77 years old right? Remember the kid in class who used to tattle on everyone? Enough said.

I didn't realize you'd been teaching the Bible for over 45 years. I must say, in all kindness and respect, that I wasn't sure if you are a believer or not. Some posts you seem to defend, others you question to the point of trying to prove everyone here wrong. I don't usually get involved in the questioning one member's intent because I hate to see the squabbling and arguing and anger. I just prefer to leave those posts alone. Was just wondering.

God Bless,
Thank you,

I did not sit down one day, read the Bible, and say ?Oh, okay."

I follow Gods word to the letter...after I have tested, and proven it out as Gods truth,

(1 John 4:1) . . .Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.
