The Bible records this :

Luke 3

And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,

Maybe nothing. But I'll explain where I'm going with this later to give more people a chance to contemplate this thought of mine.

So Jesus started His ministry about 30, is it safe to say that 30 is significant number?

I believe this is a reason the Lord began His ministry when He did...

23 Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
24
“This is what applies to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall enter to perform service in the work of the tent of meeting.
25 “But at the age of fifty years they shall retire from service in the work and not work any more. (Numbers 8)

2 Samuel 5

David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.[

That's interesting isn't it? Once Jesus started His ministry, he was led into the wilderness for 40 years.

There is certainly a common theme... with numbers.

Acts 7
22And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds. 23And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.
Judges 14... with the riddles.

12And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments: 13But if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it

We all make them...

Will you share with us what you were pondering?
Yes, we also see in Revelation 12 that the Woman (who I think is the NT Church) who was led into the wilderness for 1260 days, which is 3 1/2 years. 30 x 40=1200...but if we take 31.5 x 40=1260. I was just wondering if there may be a correlation between Christ 40 days in the wilderness with the Churches 1260 days in the wilderness. I can draw some similarities between the two.

Just playing with numbers, their meanings and assimilating them, probably means nothing...just thinking out loud here...Sorry.

There is alot of meaning to numbers mentioned in the bible.

Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days
The flood lasted 40 days and nights
Moses was on the Mount for 40 days.
40 days Jesus was seen by his disciples, speaking of things pertaining to God's kingdom.
