By His substitutionary death, Jesus paid the price for the ransom of mankind thus one is forgiven and justified the moment they repent and believe.

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. (Romans 3:24-25)

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1:14)

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (1 Timothy 2:5-6)

All sins are paid for by the death of Jesus Christ. It is like travelling on a train/plane. You buy the ticket but you do not get onto the train/plain. The trip has been paid for but you have not taken it, which means that you are still at the departing point. In life you have to get on that path that leads to God, as your ticket has already been paid for by Jesus who died on the cross as our Saviour. By repenting your sins, you show the signs of getting on the path. By doing the things that God wants you to do will ensure that your sins are forgiven. I believe that if we ignore the commandments of God blatantly, our sins will NOT be forgiven.

2 Corinthians 2:14-17
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. [SUP]15 [/SUP]For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
[SUP]16 [/SUP]To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
[SUP]17 [/SUP]For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

How do we triumph in Christ? By knowing what He has done for us and telling it.

We will overcome, by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

There is no might or if in that sentence.

The question is not for you to answer for me, but to answer for yourself.
Your personal sins, are they paid for, or are they forgiven?
They are one or the other!

This is confusion. How can a man come to God but through Christ? BUT how can a man come to Christ unless God draws him?

The wages of sin is death and most have not collected their payment yet. I will say it on every thread, let go and bury the old man!

We as a WHOLE AND ALL OF MANKIND can truly live our 70 to a 100 years in this planet TRULY without lack or want for anything. IF we bury the dead works of the past that in the end, witness to us from the grave!

If you truly believe this, then also accept that even the devils believe and tremble. The only thing missing among the two is love. Absent of that is wrath, which is so prevalent here.

Acts 2:38 says, Repent and BE BAPTIZED everyone one of you in the name of Jesus Christ FOR THE REMISSION of your sins."
Mark 16:15 & 16 says, "Go into all the earth preaching the gospel, he that BELIEVETH AND IS BAPTIZED shall be saved."

We can't just believe. We have to believe, repent, confess Jesus, and be baptized to be saved. We can't just pick one or two of God's commands we have to take them all.

Why do you say 'they are one OR the other'?

What is the nature of forgiveness? If a man owes another a debt, but the man to whom it is owed says, "Forget it, I forgive your debt." does this then mean that the debt goes unpaid? No. It means that the debt is paid by the one to whom it is owed, rather than by the one who owes it or another party on behalf of the debtor. As a specific example, if I lend a man $10,000 on the agreement that they will pay it back after 3 months, only to have disaster strike and the borrower unable to repay, what happens to the debt? I can grant an extension but still require payment, I can go to court and take his possessions to pay off the debt, I can accept payment on his behalf from another, or I can "pay" it myself, meaning that I am still $10,000 poorer but he owes me nothing. This act of forgiveness is the same as payment to him.

Forgiveness is just as costly as demanding payment, only the cost is transferred from the debtor to the debt-holder.

I should add, when it comes to forgiving a person who has offended you (rather than an actual debt), it is as if you are "paying twice". You pay once in pain on account of the offense, and you pay again by relinquishing your right to justice/retribution.

Speaking here of Christians
The Bible seems to think so. I don't mean to say that we're not held accountable in this life for our sins, though. As Proverbs 6:30-31 demonstrates, there is forgiveness and understanding but then there is also justice, punishment or discipline.

Proverbs 6:30-31 People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his hunger when he is starving. Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold, though it costs him all the wealth of his house.
