Ordinary leaders produce followers.
Great leaders produce more leaders.
The success of a leader is his successor.
No wonder why we always lose what great leaders have stated,
they have no one to continue their legacy.
TRUE, THAT DISCIPLES ARE MADE AND NOT BORN.
SO, JESUS COMMANDS THAT WE MAKE DISCIPLES.
Are you discipling someone?

I think it is so interesting to follow how our leaders helped and harmed our life in the spirit. We can choose to follow them with our eye on God, with scripture our main focus or we can follow them without our eye on scripture, but make following them our goal. One way helps us grow, but following man before scripture stunts our growth.

Many have led the way to a closer walk with our Lord. St Augustine did this, Luther did this. During the dark time of the dark ages it was the Jews (those people who didn’t recognize their savior!!) who kept reverence for the bible alive even more than the church did. At that time, the church said no one but priests were to know what scripture said.

But following Jews to deny Christ leads to death. Those who followed Luther to kill Jews lead to death. Even St Augustine had some dark spots in his understanding.

I pray that I can speak as only being used by God to say only what God says. I ask forgiveness for what is not pure from Him.
