[h=3]John 6:52-58[/h]New International Version - UK (NIVUK)
[SUP]52 [/SUP]Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, ‘How can this man give us his flesh to eat?’
[SUP]53 [/SUP]Jesus said to them, ‘Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. [SUP]54 [/SUP]Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. [SUP]55 [/SUP]For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. [SUP]56 [/SUP]Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. [SUP]57 [/SUP]Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. [SUP]58 [/SUP]This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live for ever.’

52 The Law of Moses forbids eating flesh. Jesus was not speakly literally though.
53 This is commmunion. Only true believers can truly have communion. Communion is accepting Christ's sacrifice for us.
54 This here is a promise to those who believe and recieve grace from God. Recieving pentence fr our sins is far more important than having bread and wine which is to remind us of what He did for us. His flesh and blood were given on the cross.
55-56 When we receive the cross in our life we gain an everlasting realationship with God and gain the Holy Spirit.
57 Jesus is life and we can only gain life thru His death on the cross. He died on the cross so we do not have to do the same.
58 He reminds them that God has sent bread from heaven before but it did not last but He makes those who recieve Him last and they will have to face hell but pass from death to life.
59 He taught this near His home a city He went to many times the city most of His disciples were from.
