For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead. When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 2:9-15 (NIV)
Here are the reasons this passage tops my list of favorites.

  • It starts with Christ and ends with Christ. In six verses, Paul explains who Jesus is and the meaning of His death, burial and resurrection.
  • I learned that my real problem was spiritual death, and that something had to happen to me before change could take place in my life. I had tried to be God’s guy, but my efforts came up woefully short.
  • In the plainest language possible, it states that all my sins have been forgiven.
  • It also tells me that the law of sin and death has been taken away.
  • It declares that my enemy was defeated and disarmed through Christ’s triumphant victory at the cross.
  • It tells me that I am complete, or have fullness, in Jesus Christ.

Peace be with you. in the Old Covenant it is the Law of sin to remind people of their sinful nature and sacrifices to make them right with GOD again and again.
In the New Covenant it is the Law of the SPIRIT that gives life and life in its abundance, as we work after the the things of the SPIRIT and not again to the things of the flesh (Romans chapter 8). Before this Apostle Paul in 'Romans 7; 13-25' spoke about his struggle with sin but as the true story goes on, HE says in chapter 8 the revelation of the HOLY SPIRIT reveal to him and telling to us the spiritual formula to freedom of sin in the new life growing with CHRIST.
Then there is no condemnation to those who belong to this formula of CHRIST continuing and practicing in the HOLY SPIRIT's scripture of the New Covenant. JESUS said; 'The words (teachings) that come out my mouth are spirit and life.' They are not sin and death that come from the Law of the letter, the Old Covenant which I have accomplished for you to be free to follow the New that is of the SPIRIT.

Thats False. Those Christ died for, by His Death alone, by His Blood alone they have been forgiven of their sins. Their belief has nothing to do with it !

then all are already saved because he died for all once for all and not all believe this, and since you say that is done and that we don not need to believe, or better yet excercise it, hwere is free choice as when Adam and Eve had it, has God taken away free choice

  1. Romans 6:10
The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
Romans 6:9-11 (in Context) Romans 6 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
  2. Hebrews 5:9and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him
Hebrews 5:8-10 (in Context) Hebrews 5 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
  3. Hebrews 7:27Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.
Hebrews 7:26-28 (in Context) Hebrews 7 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
  4. Hebrews 9:12He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.
Hebrews 9:11-13 (in Context) Hebrews 9 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
  5. Hebrews 9:26Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Hebrews 9:25-27 (in Context) Hebrews 9 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
  6. Hebrews 10:1[ Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All ] The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.
Hebrews 10:1-3 (in Context) Hebrews 10 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
  7. Hebrews 10:2Otherwise, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins.
Hebrews 10:1-3 (in Context) Hebrews 10 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
  8. Hebrews 10:10And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Hebrews 10:9-11 (in Context) Hebrews 10 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
and John the Baptist was the witness of Christ to waht was going to happen
John 1:29[ John Testifies About Jesus ] The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
1 Peter 3:21and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
Saved by the life Sir not the death death was needed first to cleanse all first but just because all are cleansed by the blood does not of itself save, that is only a half sham Gospel not the full where we are saved by the life.
Read 1 cor 15 where Paul talks about the resurrection and without it we would still be in our sind that the death means nothing without the resurrected Christ
Love you man

how can death bring life unless there is a resurrection which is life a Spiritual one and Christ Rose
[h=3]The Resurrection of the Dead[/h][SUP]12 [/SUP]But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? [SUP]13 [/SUP]If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. [SUP]14 [/SUP]And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. [SUP]15 [/SUP]More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. [SUP]16 [/SUP]For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. [SUP]17 [/SUP]And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. [SUP]18 [/SUP]Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. [SUP]19 [/SUP]If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead,

The Resurrection of the Dead
Thats it, all for whom Christ died, by His Resurrection He begts them again. 1 Pet 1:3

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Christ's Resurrection from the dead is an evidence that those whose offences He died, are Justfied Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification

And His Resurrection gives new birth to all for whom He died for their offences ! Life comes out of His Death !

for those that believe as scripture points out
John 16:8
[SUP]8 [/SUP]When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: [SUP]9 [/SUP]about sin, because people do not believe in me;
Romans 4:3What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
Romans 4:11And he received circumcision as a sign, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. So then, he is the father of all who believe but have not been circumcised, in order that righteousness might be credited to them.

I have already before posted to you about belief and you deny it and then you come back with yes it is by the life after denying that for a long time in another place reconciled to God
Love you anyway

Thats False. Those Christ died for, by His Death alone, by His Blood alone they have been forgiven of their sins. Their belief has nothing to do with it !
Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Acts 16:31 They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."

So you are one of those who believes God picked you out of a line up? That is not God's desire that everyone would come to faith in Him? Did God flip a coin? Heads you win, Tails your neighbor loses? Please!!!!

God did all the work in saving me, I know that, but receiving the free gift of God is our responsibility (receiving a gift is not a work), for if it wasn't how could a loving and just God be justified in his judgment if we aren't responsible.
