I perceive that a lot of misunderstanding in discussions including the topic / idea of 'rapture' - in the forums AND in the chat rooms - is due to the variation in understanding of what the term means to different individuals...

So - I thought I would put the question to you:

"What do you consider the d e f i n i t i o n of the word 'rapture' to be?"

if there was : the "catching up" of the saints; occurs at 'second-coming', i didn't see it and would change my vote.


also, i didn't see an option for : "darby, discord and confusion"

EDIT: For just a moment, I was tempted to put 'at' and 'after' options separately - but decided that it would be more confusing; the rapture occurring "right after Christ showed up" (second coming) could be thought of as 'at' OR 'after' -- so, I just put them together.

The word Rapture does not appear in the Bible. It comes from the Latin word rapare which means "seize", "snatch" or "take away." The term Rapture is used to refer to the faithful believers being taken up to meet Christ in the air.

The catching up of the saints, every eye will see it, it happens post judgment but pre wrath, it occurs while Jesus is enroute to His return

The rapture was an interpretation by mankind; it doesn't exist and isn't going to happen the way everyone believes it will. Heck, there's so much falsehood in the churches that no one will be raptured at the rate we're all going :p

Poles, polls, and rolls. When they roll is called up yonder, I'll be there. Do you like fried human flesh. You probably will. Although God is a God of mercy. What do you think is going to happen in the trib. It's going to be so bad that it has never occured on earth before. You know from scripture that Israel (the chosen people of God) ate their own children because the famine was so severe. You think that trib is a walk in the park are you kidding me.

Pff...

Yeah, I was scared but I know I have protection against what is to come. I need to get myself together now and bear some fruit for God. Need to prepare a lot of oil like the wise virgins :)

Hopefully we'll make it through the night...

now I think you need to store up some rice. Wait Jim Bakker has a package he can sell you for about ten grand. It comes with a generator and 50 lbs of rice and some MRE's ( thats meals ready to eat). Give him a call.

Have you read Revelation, you can not buy or sell unless you take the mark. Do you farm and grow your own food. How will you get work. Can't buy gas for your car. What if you get a headache, where will you buy aspirin. Think. will God pour His wrath on people that trust Him. Find it in the OT.

Lol I don't care about my body honestly; whether I starve to death or be vaporized by the fire. I just care that my soul is good with God. Food storage, water, all that jazz, God will provide to those who are to endure to the end, which are only the 144,000 living saints. The rest of us got to face the first death ( physical,) but through God's true blood we encounter the 2nd one ( spiritual death.)

Just need to have enough oil to meet the bridegroom, and some good fruits to present to God
