Satan sinned in heaven, and God would not allow that EVER again. So he made a place and a body that can sin, for ALL His created spirits to decide what tehy want to be... Sinners and Satan's children, or do they want to be saved and spend eternity with God as God's Children.. It has to be a free CHOICE. God created them in HIS IMAGE WITH A FREE CHOICE.

God created earth a perfect place and he even created us humans perfect. But when he created us, God gave us freewill. Satan Called Lucifer at the time. He rebelled against God, and God threw him out the perfect place called heaven. So Lucifer was given the new name Prince of the air. In which he had rulings over the earth in the air. But cunning and sly, and deceiving as Lucifer was and is. he and his followers became what he thinks as ruler of the earth.
But you got to understand, he has plenty of names called for us to identify him,
Prince of the air, father of lies and the list below carries on.
Why has he been given these names? to help us identify his evilness roles in deceiving the world and to gain more followers.
And this may sound weird coming from a Christian who has devoted his life to Jesus and to worship Jesus alone. and I don't make a habit of sounding that I'm praising the enemy. In which I'm not. never will. But In this case, the comment I will make may shock you. But the Enemy has done a pretty good job in gaining followers not only from heaven but on earth.
But God is the almighty powerful. and God will win and there is no doubt about that.
But going back to the question, Why did God create the human race?
Well Why not? He is our creator he can create who or what ever he want. If you were God, what would you create?

And Finally. God created Man to have fellowship with God. That is one reason why God hates sin: it causes estrangement from God. God wants to know us as friends, close friends, not as master/slave relationship. A very important note: God wants man to be His friends of their own free will and not to feel forced to do so (or else man would be an automaton, just another group of angels doing what they were told. God does not want people knowing Him out of duty, but out of love, and this love leads to worship.
