Hi there!

I've been experiencing some unusual thing with my laptop recently. I plan bible studies for my church and my bible studies folders keep being deleted for no apparent reason. I'm wondering if this could be the work of the devil? Or demons? I'm not sure what to think and it's really trying on my soul. Perhaps this is a test god is putting me through.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has had similar unnatural experiences with their technology that they could speak to?

god bless,
Vish

I don't think demons possess laptops. Are you sure you don't have a virus or something?

I hope the issue resolves though.:)

A lot of times this has happen, but sometimes I believe it's the devil and then I believe that it could be of God for sometimes God doesn't want this to be spreaded for it might not be the truth and or it might not be the right time for it to be unveil.

Not the devil, just technology.

What operating system are you running?

I Googled your problem and it could be something that happened if you upgraded from XP or Vista.

OR one of your settings is toggled to place any new folders as hidden folders. They are still in your system but in order to help you I need to know what version of Windows you are running.

God Bless,

P.S. Meantime, you could try buying a flash drive (usually about $8-10) and saving all newly created folders on your flash drive. It's possible they will not disappear on the drive. It might be worth a try.

It's funny you think that, when something like that happens I assume God is leading me. so which one of us is right? XD

Considering that there is no biblical support that the devil or demons attach themselves to non-living objects(like computers) I would safely say you have a virus.

I don't know if it's demons are not.. but I'd just get your comp checked out, and in the meantime, put everything on a flash drive immediately after creating it.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I really don't want to belittle the problem, it's not a quick fix. I took my laptop to the genius bar at the apple store, they are usually very helpful but they couldn't figure out this problem. I personally do feel that the devil is probably able to change with the times and access us through technology where we can often be the most vulnerable, but I don't know. It makes sense to me that the devil may work through the cybernatural, but i'd be curious to hear your thoughts.

I think the devil can work through technology too. We attribute God to technology all the time - medical advances being just one example and there is no way those who wrote the Bible could fathom how advanced we are scientifically.

I can say, however, for sure if the OP's disappearing files are the result of the devil's work.

Luke 19:40“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

The verse says that nothing is totally inanimate.

I agree with the OP. I click on links and nothing happens. I push buttons on machines and nothing happens. I push keys on a keyboard and nothing happens. If I had a dime for every time I've heard someone say "huh, that's not possible" I'd be a rich man. I see 10 people get in a situation, take a certain course of action, and get a certain result ... I get in that same situation, take that same course of action, and what comes out of it can only be desribed as pure insanity. I do good for others and get spanked, while those I see doing evil are rewarded.

Point being, the enemy will use WHATEVER means and devices they choose to keep us stymied, stonewalled and as irrelevant as possible. Including technology.

Could be the spirit of operator error. :p

Cast it out by buying a Mac/Apple product.

I had a Mac laptop once. Best thing I ever did with it was to fling it like a frisbee!

Last night my laptop turned on while I was in bed and woke me up playing this terribly loud music in a language I couldn't understand. I got up and tried to turn it off but it wouldn't. It was so loud and I needed to get up early the next morning so I practically broke down in to tears thinking I'd do anything to make it stop, and right as I thought that the laptop shut itself off. I feel I may have failed some cybernatural trial set up by God or worse! Please, I could use any sort of support right now.
