What experience did you go through or what did you feel when you were saved? I have talked to people about it and seen people's born again moments, and they usually have a dramatic experience(like collapsing or talking in tongues). And I haven't experience something like that yet. Which makes me wonder if I am broken? Does God not want me? People always say you have to be predestined by God, I have been praying and asking Jesus into my heart and I do mean it, but I don't feel different. I don't think God wants me and I am going to perish in hell for it. Please help.

No Ma'am! All who come to Jesus are His, and He will raise them up on that last day. I didn't collapse when I was saved. However, we still want you to know you are saved, and not just take my word for it.

"Lord Jesus, please touch my sister Jessica and give her assurance of salvation. Lord please fill her with your Holy Spirit, and give her the peace that passes understanding. In your name we pray. Thank you, Jesus. Amen."

i haven't either and I don't want to. I know I am saved and born again. not by some play acting or demonic seizing of my body to through me around on the floor or shout out in unintelligent babble.

Sorry if I offend anyone, but I don't like the lies people too often tell.

Being born again is a change in the HEART. it is a heart that seeks after God's will. it is a heart that has God's JOY and Peace and Love. It is a person who walks with the HOLY Spirit and have the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, faithfulness, goodness and self control in their life. It is striving to learn God's laws and read His holy words and growing in your faith.

being born again is not about signs or miracles that Satan too often fakes. It is about a life and a heart completely changed that the world marvels and gnashes at its teeth at because it shows how corrupt and wrong it is for living in sin and rejecting God and His ways.

God WANTS YOU. don't give up hope.

i will keep you in my prayers.

sorry I would write more but my daughter has a dentist appointment.

Does your heavenly Father really love you?

"Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love" (Jeremiah 31:3

" For the Father Himself loveth you." (John 16:27

Jesus would have came and given His life for you, even if you were the only person to be redeemed! You are extremely precious in His sight. His sent His only Son, to save you. Please don't forget that fact!

"But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

Do you want to know what you must do to obtain the gift of Salvation?

This is what you do: Believe it and accept it as a pure gift!

"Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:24)
"A man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." (Romans 3:28)

Once you finally realize that you can do nothing to save yourself, believe these 3 things:

"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." (John 8:36)
"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)
"These things I have spoken to you...that your joy might be full."

Do not listen to those that tell you that you must have some type of "strange" expierence to KNOW you are saved. It is not true. The sign of the infilling of the Holy Spirit is a contrite heart that desires to Witness for Jesus.

When thoughts arise in your heart that God doesn't care for you,,, Immediately discard those thoughts!!! Repeat the scripture to yourself. Satan seeks to destroy you by continually telling you that you are worthless. Do not give ear to these lies! Keep your mind on Jesus. Contemplate heavenly themes as your day unfolds. Sing about Jesus. When you do these things, angels will come to your aid. Most important. Consecrate your day to God before you leave your bedside in the morn. If you draw close to God, He will draw even closer to you. I will pray for you.

Amen.

Jessica, I think you have been watching or listening to too much American TV evangelist junk.
I never had a "dramatic experience", yet my life testifies Christ is in it.

A lot of the heresies and their teachers have the collapsing thing as a part of it. I always feel uncomfortable looking at it.

There are instances where a person is rejected, I am not going to deny that. The bible even says it.
Proverbs: "A person that hardens his neck after much reproof will be broken beyond remedy."
Sometimes a person (such as Pharaoh) can harden themselves so much that God completes the process, He bakes/hardens them until they are broken beyond remedy.
But please, come on! A girl at 17 worried about such things?
Get real! Have you read the bible to see what a person has to do to get to that stage?
Read what the Jews did time and time again and all the time against Him and look at His response! ("Come back to Me")

He hasn't given Son on the cross to then make the life for the very few elite. He didn't make it difficult or hide what a person has to do to be saved. It is laid out. Plain. Bare. Open. "Believe in Me." "Follow ME."

That is where the Faith comes in. You just have to believe Him. If you do, you are saved. And the great thing is, you do not even produce the Faith. You ask Him for it.

Lol. Such dramatic experience is not evidence of salvation.
I felt divine peace within my heart and love for God that I'd never experienced before.

God bless you.

Do not grow impatient. Sometimes the simplest things seem to be the most difficult to do. Perhaps why so many do not wait on the Lord but endeavor to force Him to reveal Himself through the dramatic displays you reference.
Scripture tells us that His Spirit witnesses with our spirit that we are His. Rom 8:16
As you read Gods word and commune with Him He will let you know you are His. A still small voice. He will help you resist temptation. He will convict you when you sin. You will begin to see Him works in your life when you open your eyes to what He is doing.
