I haven't read most of the Bible, and in a book I read one way to increase faith is through memorizing verses. So I'm hoping to start that with some of the best Bible verses.

Philippians 4: 6-8
6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

“Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them."
- John 6:53-56

"From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him."
- John 6:66

Romans 12:1-3 KJV

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

John 15:13 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

"Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, [SUP]4 [/SUP]and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, [SUP]5 [/SUP]and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." This is the most famous verse on the bible and one of my favorites

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1. Matthew 26:28 "For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins".

2. Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths".

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Never before has it been so relevant as it is in this pluralistic, inclusive world today.

Rev 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Maynard made me think of this song. I sometimes wonder if the passage is a metaphor? If you knew me you would understand how conflicted that question is. Anyway, this is still a nice song. I enjoy reading your posts. I know I picked one for my profile. I'm not certain it is still my favorite. As time passes, we learn, grow and change. I find meaning in much of the bible. It's difficult to pick.
