Matthew 19:17 KJV
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

John 14:15 KJV
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 15:10 KJV
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

1 John 2:3 KJV
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1 John 3:22 KJV
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

1 John 5:2 KJV
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

1 John 5:3 KJV
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Revelation 12:17 KJV
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 14:12 KJV
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

This is overwhelming evidence that the Bible says we are to keep the commandments. To say we do not have to keep the commandments is teaching against the clear word of God. The fact that we are saved by grace through faith does not release us from keeping the law.

Philippians 4:13 KJV
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
John 15:4-5 KJV
(4) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
(5) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Obeying this internal commandment pleases GOD.

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12

Trying to please GOD by keeping external commandments is rooted in fear and unbelief.

What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness—even the righteousness [that is] by faith. But Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, did not attain to the law. Why that? Because [they did] not [pursue it] by faith, but as [if] by works. They stumbled over the stone that causes people to stumble, just as it is written, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble, and a rock that causes them to fall, and the one who believes in him will not be put to shame.” Romans 9:30-33

From Yahweh's Word, the Messiah, I understand the commandments have been taken from the stone inscription and inscribed on the tablets of flesh, that is our hearts. From this it is easy to understand our nature has been converted to always want to please the Father in obedience. I do not see internal and external teachings.

Many people who claim to believe Jesus, Yeshua, are seeing Jews under their beds. This is a terrible condition for anyone. One should not allow complete paranoia to cloud one's understanding from the Word. What is written is not an enemy to any believer, it is our Messiah when led by the Holy Spirit.

Desiring for material things such as sex, money, high tech instruments, exotic imported foods and goods ( and which It will be hard for me to live just only on beans and rice), and etc... Is consider as coveting; and so I prefer to follow the commandments that were summed up, because I'll surely will flop if I follow the commands of the old testament.

Agreed. Obedience is really what it's all about:

Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: Romans 16:25-26

Unbelief? No. Fear? yes. A Godly fear

ACTS 9 [31] Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and WALKING IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.

MATTHEW 15 [8] This people draweth nigh unto me with THEIR MOUTH, and honoureth me with THEIR LIPS; but THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME. [9] But in vain they do worship me, TEACHING FOR DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN.

Lets go to Isaiah 29 and learn more of these people who worship Jesus in vain

ISAIAH 29 [13] Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but HAVE REMOVED THEIR HEART FAR FROM ME, AND THEIR FEAR TOWARD ME IS TAUGHT BY THE PRECEPT OF MEN:

So who are these people who say they believe in the Lord and honor the Lord with their words but because they “fear not” the Lord, they keep not His commandments but keep the commandments of man? Who are these people who worship the Lord in vain?

LUKE 12 [4] And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. [5] But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, FEAR HIM.

DEUT. 6 [1] Now THESE ARE THE COMMANDMENTS, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: [2] THAT THOU MIGHTEST FEAR THE LORD THY GOD, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

PSALM 111 [10] The FEAR OF THE LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding HAVE ALL THEY THAT DO HIS COMMANDMENTS: his praise endureth for ever.

PROVERBS 1 [7] THE FEAR OF THE LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. [8] My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and FORSAKE NOT THE LAW of thy mother:[9] For they shall be an ornament of GRACE unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

Heres a great scripture. Forsake not the law. Fear the Lord, get wisdom and receive His grace.

ISAIAH 51 [5] My righteousness is near; MY SALVATION IS GONE FORTH, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust. [6] Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but MY SALVATION SHALL BE FOR EVER, and my righteousness shall not be abolished. [7] Hearken unto me, YE THAT KNOW RIGHTEOUSNESS, THE PEOPLE IN WHOSE HEART IS MY LAW; FEAR YE NOT THE REPROACH OF MEN, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

Salvation? Being saved. The law. The 10 commandments. Hmmm… Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and forever.

Should we love?

If we are loving, are we not fulfilling God's Law?

Look not towards the letter, but look towards Love.

Yeah, we should love one another. AND the Word tells us how to love one another

1JOHN 5 [2] By this WE KNOW THAT WE LOVE THE CHILDREN OF GOD, when we love God, and keep his commandments. [3] For THIS IS THE LOVE OF GOD, THAT WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: and his commandments are not grievous.

2JOHN1 [5] And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER.[6] And THIS IS LOVE, THAT WE WALK AFTER HIS COMMANDMENTS. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

JAMES 2 [8] If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF, ye do well: [9] But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.[10] For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.[11] For he that said, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, said also, DO NOT KILL. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

ROMANS 13 [8] Owe no man any thing, but to LOVE ONE ANOTHER: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.[9] For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, Thou shalt not bear false witness, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.[10] Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Very well. In so following God, who is Love, we do keep His commandments. Let us follow Him and not the Letter. For what the Letter says, it is spoken to us, His children who are being led to the Light, by God Himself.

*[[Rom 8:4]] KJV* That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The righteousness of the law is fulfilled by walking after the spirit.

Genesis 1:26-27 KJV
(26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
(27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Man was created in the image of God. They were made to keep the law not disobey they law, although God gave freedom of choice.

Ephesians 2:10 KJV
(10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

This text says we are created in Christ unto Good works. What are those good works?

How do we keep the Law if not by walking according to the Spirit who leads by love and not law?

If we are then led by the Spirit, has not the old schoolmaster been replaced?

In the words of a wise poster:

*[[Rom 8:4]] KJV* That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The righteousness of the law is fulfilled by walking after [according to the dictate of] the pirit.
