I sometimes have lucid Dreams. Sometimes they are fun. Im flying and doing whatever I would like to do, and knowing its a Dream. Sometimes I cant wake up. I Dream that I wake up but I dont, and the Dream repeats itsself. Do you have lucid Dreams?

Its just a dream. Nothing special or spiritual about it, so don't know why there would be anything in the bible about it. Its just an awareness that you're dreaming, and the ability to control your actions in a dream. As opposed to being in a dream you can't control and just watch and don't realize it's a dream.

i'd agree with ugly, I have them too, sometimes the frighten the crap out of me, and make me restless, I just get on my knees and call out to the Father. Sometimes they push me to lust, and I still have to get on my knees and cry out to the Father - I do not in particular enjoy them at all

People commonly use "lucid" to refer to being in control of your dreams, not so much as how real or surreal they may seem.
But, it sounds like you are describing dreams that are just more surreal than others, but not particularly in control of the places you go, the things you do, etc.

It is my belief and experience, that every dream is a message from God, which uses imagery to explain something about your situation, to teach you how to deal with it, or maybe, what will happen. But I don't think we should focus on the "telling the future" part of it, because we would constantly live in fear of "this week's fortune teller"

In my dreams, people do not represent themselves, they represent "powers around me" so to speak.
I believe flying in my dreams represents all the instances we read in the bible about wings of eagles.
Any time I dream about a body of water, laws of physics are also broken, and I believe those are references to Jesus and Peter, the ark, etc.

Job, which teaches on the phenomenon of Jacob having his name changed to Israel, the struggle with the messenger of God, the struggle of Satan vs. Man, the part of you you hate vs. the part of you you want to keep...

...mentions dreams as though they are regular communications from God.

Sons and Daughters will prophesy - A "mental patient" I know, who is a "habitual liar" describes my current struggles to me with his wild imagery, every time he tells me a tall tale.

Old men will dream dreams - People who have walked with God a long time will find it easy to interpret their dreams.
Young men will see visions - People who have an immature walk with God must patiently and diligently search the meanings, to avoid misleading themselves.

I dream a lot about attics - upper rooms or heaven, underground places - where things are forgotten, strange driving, effortless wheelies on bikes and skateboards, paths through forests, and home defense.

Here's the things the bible says about dreams that stick out to me...

God tells Abimelech the current state and the past, not the future.
Jacob goes to sleep with stones for pillows. He is comforting himself to sleep with strong facts then he dreams likewise
God reminds Laban to deal fairly with Jacob in a dream
God tells Pharoah the future
People will use dreams that tell the future for ill means
God reassures Gideon in a dream
And mostly, Psalm 73, sin feels like waking from a nightmare to God

Unfortunately, the most common aspect of dreams is that they are always symbolic in the bible, but people interpret them nowadays as literal. Particularly the abundance of natural disaster dreams people are having and misusing to falsely predict literal earthquakes and such.

Matthew 1:20But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 2:12
And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

Acts 2:17
“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

Genesis 28:12
He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

Numbers 12:6
he said, “Listen to my words: “When there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams.

1 Corinthians 12:10
to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

Genesis 41:12
Now a young Hebrew was there with us, a servant of the captain of the guard. We told him our dreams, and he interpreted them for us, giving each man the interpretation of his dream.

Sorry post #1, I entirely missed the part where you are in control of your dream.
I've never had one of those, but I'd suspect there are still some elements that are created outside of your control?
That's the ones I would pay attention to.
Maybe being in control is more like the wings of eagles than what I suggested?

Good thing I'm not in control of mine, I'd act irresponsibly I think. :p

I look at lucid dreaming like this. What defines witchcraft? Simply put, it's manipulation :) we're not supposed to be in control of our subconscious, but we are given power to change our minds through Christ :)

Yeah, I decided the same thing when I read about lucid dreaming and all the tricks you can do to cause it to happen intentionally.
I guess if it's just happening to a person automatically, it's probably different.

Lucid dreams fall under the category of 'soul dreams'. They originate from the soul and you are in control.
While there is no spiritual meaning to these types of dreams, theycan reveal your inner and true feelings about issues in your life.

Im totally in control of them. I deceide what I want to do. Sometimes I go flying or go to the beach. I can feel the water and taste the food and know that its not real and that Im dreaming. On time I Dreamt I was on a marketplace and it was full of people. Like in the history. So I thought let me go and talk to someone and ask them the lotterynumbers who knows ! And the man I asked looked at me as if I was mad, didnt answer me and walked on.

another lucid dream that I had a few years ago,was a bit scary. I knew that I was dreaming and wanted to go flying. I was standing in my bedroom, and was searching for the keys to the balcony. I wanted to open the door to jump of the balcony to fly. Then I remembered the keys are always in the door, and I started opening the door. Everthing was very realitic... Than I remembered that I could be sleepwalking and I deceided not to open the door.

I think its a strange to compare witchcraft with a lucid dream. Witchcraft is occult. The bible forbids it, and I agree.
Dreaming is something that everybody does.

Its not that I use tricks to let it happen. It happens automaticly. And when I know that I am dreaming I cant undo that.

Our minds operate on two levels, the conscious and the subconscious level. When we listen to the Holy Spirit, we often listen with the subconscious. When we type, we don't say this is where a is, this is b, and so on. The subconscious has learned it and we type automatically. That is why we can drive and have a conversation. We are always programming out subconscious, it is what we believe in, how we operate. This is the part of our minds that brings on our dreams. When we dream, it is often simply reporting on what we are feeling and using symbols to report it.

Like a flash, my consciousness, or soul, or spirit, or ka, left my body. I was flying upward around the balloon-like curved right hand rim of the universe at an impossible speed, faster than thought. I still had a body, but it was ethereal, light as a feather. I could see the small oval shapes of thousands of galaxies on my left as I sped past. A heartbeat later I was there.
In front of me was a long luminous table, like a raised dais, and seated there were beings bathed in light, but human in form. They had heads and bodies, and were robed in white, but I could not make out their faces. Were they angels? Judges? I don’t know. I think there were ten of them. At least that is the number that is in my head. Then I began to spin like a top attached to a string, though my consciousness looked straight at them. I am spinning and looking straight ahead. How is that possible? And I began to weep. I must be dead, I thought, and began, without any prompting or question being asked, to recount the sins of my life, and they were many.
Lying, cheating, stealing, gluttony, sex, drugs; all the small and great sins of boy and man. How small or large they were makes no difference. They were as big as my life then, and, besides my children, all I thought I had to show for it. Through my tears, I begged for forgiveness.

Hmm... Just stumbled across this doing other study, for what it's worth

Jeremiah 29:8
For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.

...that is incorrect; we are supposed to be in total control of ourselves, in the ultimate Control of God, otherwise we become chaotic and 'out of control'... Witchcraft is the rebellious spirit against God, and is also seen in unrightously trying to control others against their apparent will..., seen in a number of Christian penticostal churches praying against someone to control them to their way of thinking ... which they deem 'correct'...

...and I believe in 'super-consciousness'; where the conscious, sub and unconscious all get illuminated in the Light of lights ... and become totally aware of the Great I AM within their own 'I am' and become full of Light - anything less is not for those who seek the sublime Truth of truths: within the temple of their being where it counts....

I'd like to know that too. That would be interesting, to see the Bible speaks Psychology. I experienced that a couple of times and I was fascinated ever since. I even controlled my dream per episode just like TV series...no joke! One day, I dreamed about learning to fly. I tried so hard until I finally made it. I knew it's just a dream but I didn't want to wake up because I knew once I wake up my awesome power will be gone so I pushed myself to stay asleep. I failed. I woke up. That dream was so real (the power felt SO real) I decided to go back to sleep just to get my flying power back. I succeed. I got that dream back! How awesome was that? I experienced that kind of dream a couple of times years ago. I rarely dream nowadays but I'd like to experience that again. The unconscious world is so amazing. I need to sharpen my lucid dreaming skill. Lord knows how bad I want those super powers.
