Hey obeying the New Testament commands is a handful. This tread is not about discussing debating or arguing about the Old Testament Laws and commands. I am a gentile and have been given 1050 commands from the Lord in the New living testament.
Now the commands of Moses are 2,713 and the rest of the Old letter of commands (that pointed to sin and the remedy of sin the sarifices and ceremonies the types and shadows of the Son of God’s sacrifice for sin) 113,000 commands. Now we need our brethren’s encouragement and reproof with their gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit to grow in the power of the Lord Jesus Holy Spirit to be quickened and make them our natural response. So again 1050 commands of the Lord Jesus Christ to me a gentile. Let’s start for they in themselves cannot be done without the Holy Spirit quickening them in me.
The Laws of Moses Abolished Acts 15:24.
7 command to abstain from; idols, fornication, strangles meats, eating blood, meats offered to idols Acts15.
All appearances of evil 1Th. 5:22, fleshly lusts 1 Pt.2:11.

Avoid: Trouble makers Ro. 16:17, Profane vain babblings 1 Tim 6:20, False Science. Unlearned Questions 2 Tim 2:27. Foolish Questions; Titus 3:9, Genealogies, along with arguing about the Old Testament Law.

Asks; Ask and you shall receive Mt.7:7, ask no return of goods Luke 6:30, ask life for the backslider 1 John 5:16. Awakes; to righteousness 1 Corth. 15:34, awake to life Eph. 5:14.

Now that is the start and there are 1031 more! Without the power of the Holy Spirit we cannot even do these as our nature consistently and as our everyday response to God to our self and to others. Each day others will be added, one each day is enough to be prayerful until mastered. ALL are entreated to add any New Testament commands you like or know. Share the ones you like or have by His mercy and grace mastered or have found flow from you fruitfully consistently.

To be's: Exceedingly glade Matthew 5:12

Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.
(Luk 12:33)

Jesus said to him, "If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."
(Mat 19:21)

Ok this includes your computer, ipad, android tablet, cell phone, internet-tv etc. so you will no longer be able to post here on CC.
Next sell your car, home, and other belongings and then walk to the library, log on to CC and tell us how things are going.
Until then ...1031 commands? You are joking aren't you?

I just don't think those are kind that throw commands in our face but don't keep them themselves. I know you are not joking neither am I.

For myself, what I guard against most is placing my faith in something that I am doing. I must stay focused on the cross as the means for my salvation, sanctification, and justification. Doing that allows the Holy Spirit to work in me to conform me into that which is pleasing to God. The most difficult thing to do is to deny our self. This what Jesus was telling the rich man. As Paul would say I die daily or it is no longer I that live but Christ in me.

The faithful servants do what is commanded of them.

I get on the bus and take my seat the bus is filling up and many are standing.

Now the 10 Commandments do not state i have to give up my seat for another.... but if i Love Heavenly Father and Yahshua the Messiah i then demonstrate this love by loving and caring for others.

Love brings it all to life within.

Yes the Messiah told us to Keep and Teach the Commandments of GOD.

He also taught us to love our enemy's and to forgive to be forgiven.

To do good.

It all works together as One and not one or the other.
