Life is hard, and at times very painful, and God knows that. I don't think it limits me or anyone in any way to admit that. If life wasn't hard and painful, how would we grow in our trust for the Lord? There was a time in my life when I felt I had two things left, my faith and the fact that I was still alive. To say I was in a hardship is a understatement. What got me thru it, was to share with God how broken I was and to rely on God. Thru Him, I then reached out to many people who had the same struggles, to try to be a blessing to them. We show by example that no matter how hard life gets, we have our faith and that is a great chance to witness about God.

"For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labour for me.Yet what shall I choose?I do not know!I am torn between the two:I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far, but it is more neccessary for you that I remain in the body.Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your joy and progress in the faith." (Phillipians 1:21 - 25)

"as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich,as having nothing yet possessing all things."(2 Corinthians 6:10)

Life has it's ups and downs......it's best not to be simplistic about what life is and isn't - and not to minimise the very real pain that others may be experiencing.
Having said that , we can rejoice that our names are written in heaven, while contending for the faith and fighting the good fight.
My advice to anyone whose life is going smoothly is - store up for the storms ahead - for they shall surely come! And when they do - you want to be sure that you have the inner recources to rely on to make it through the trial still standing.
You prepare for trials by clothing yourself in Gods armour (which is the Word of God) - and you do it BEFORE you are in the thick of things!
The devil has a way of throwing a spanner in the works when we get smug about how well our lives are going....so watch out - but trust that your Father has you in His hand.
