I know we have all been through things and we all have personal issues, but please do not limit God by saying "Life is hard"

Matthew 11:28-30
28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

He said we can take his yoke upon ourselves and LEARN from him. He is gentle and humble. His Yoke and his Burden are easy and light.

Do we really believe in God's Word that he spoke TO us if we say "I am a Christian." Then we turn and say "Life is hard."

You're 15. Life does get rough, even Paul despaired of life (2Cor 1:8). It's just more bearable through Christ.

You are at the beginning of life, I am at the end, and we both think the same about it!

I have been through deaths close to me, bankruptcy, divorce, a sister won't speak and on and on. Even while my daughter was being buried, a bird sang.

There was the time I thought God created me wrong someway, that God wouldn't help me take care of myself, that I had to have more humans around me and that was tough. But it was me being mistaken. When I trusted God all worked out.

I think it is up to us how hard our lives will be. The better we are at following the Lord’s commandments, the easier it is for us.

Understood, what Owen is saying is: even though life can be very difficult at times;
God's grace by Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit gets His own through it.
- And a more beautiful and right sentiment couldn't be uttered.
Amen Owen!

Yes, Yes, Yes all of you have great faith in facing trials, thank the Lord :) :)

The better we are at following the Lord’s commandments, the easier it is for us.
I think faith also has a large part in that, but certainly following his commandments helps us prove our Love for God.

Blood - what comes out when life gets hard.

"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

This is His blood that they shed.

I'm glad you made that point.
Our lives troubles are nothing compared to the injustice he went through.

Just because a Christian states that Life is Hard does not mean that they aren't experiencing Gods peace and contentment. They r being real about their situation. There are some who try to be religious or tooooo spiritual. God knows our hearts about our experiences.Im glad u r seeking and serving the LORD. I have had some experiences in my short life. I have realized that what I have gone through has made me the man I am today (Rom 5;3-4) and I wouldnt change anything about my past. A lot of hurt, pain, and loss; but it has me SOLD OUT to God so the tradeoff is worth it. The people to look out for are those who dont confess the good that God brings out of these circumstances or situations (Rom 8;28).

This is my signature, but in English! I had a reconstruction foot surgery and it all went wrong about 4 years ago. But the presence of God helped me not to fear. God gave me this life verse, which I have memorized, along with much of Romans 5. Funny, my goal was Romans 8, and I have not made a lot of progress. (Note to self: Memorize Romans 8!)

"Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, [SUP]4 [/SUP]and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, [SUP]5 [/SUP]and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." Romans 5:3-5.

Being a teenager was the HARDEST time in my life. I would never live through those years again even if I was guaranteed good health for the rest of my life. You are blessed, Owen, to know Christ, and to be following him. That would have made all the difference for me.

Praying for you for any hard times you are going through!

During the birth of one of my children, when I had been given medication to help with the birth, it truly seemed to me I was able to contact the angels who were attending the birth. It still seems so real that 65 years later I remember every detail.

We didn't "talk" for angels don't talk nor have real form, they were just a sort of change in the light, but they were aware that I knew they were there and we communicated. I heard one angel ask the other whyever would humans cry. They were preparing to take my baby's soul back to heaven because her body wasn't right so it would make her cry.

Why do we? We have God, we have eternal life. The only thing that stands between us and abundance in both the spiritual and humanly sense is sin. Our time here is short, and we have a heavenly home. With our eye on the goal, why cry?

Amen Owen!
What I heard Owen say is ''don't say life is hard'' in so many words. My point is that it is ok to say 'life is hard'', but add '' Jesus is greater''.

Thanks that almost made me cry! hahaha i love romans 8 it is my favorite chapter in Gods word right now. I did a study on Romans 8, its somwhere on these forums, i wish more people could have read the wisdom.
LOVE ROMANS 8! thanks for that hope you gave me

And I did not only say "do not say life is hard"

I was making a point that You don't have to believe life is hard just because its hard for everyone else. we live by faith not by sight. so if we see others having a hard life, why should we believe we have to have a hard life if we walk by faith and not by sight.

I am saying you dont have to believe life will be hard.. :)

Life recently for myself has been difficult, I have recently been prescribed antidepressants due to anxiety and depression, something that has been a blight for many years. I have to keep strong or should I say I have learnt how to portrait a strong confident image to my family and friends, whilst inside I have felt so alone and lost.
I have always tried to be a good christian, praying each day for strength.
Isaiah 41.10 a favorite when I feel alone and frightened.
Recently things have been sometimes to much. I joined this chat site only a few days ago and already feel better within myself. I would like to thank you all for being here with me. Although strangers, I feel comforted, reading about Christianity and having the ability to write about how I feel.

From one stranger to another, I thank you all.

I love the Lord, and am a christian, Life is Hard. When I hold a new born baby that has never been fed from the time he was born 11 days later, because his mother cannot breast feed him because she is HIV positive, and has no income to buy formula, and no taxi or bus fair to get to a clinic, lif is hard. When I hold a 9 year old girl who's mother has just died from HIV and she has to be removed because her granmother is a drug addict and can't look after her, life is hard. When I counsel a man who's son of 15 decided he wanted to die, and his father found him hanging from a rope, life is hard. When I help one of my foster children change her colostamy bag because she has never beein it reversed, lif hospital to have a look at havin it reversed, life is hard.
W
hen I visit my brother in jail life is hard, when I hold my son after he has committed terrible crimes, life is hard. Does this mean I do not love the Lord NO. Does this mean that I lean on Him and all His understanding yes. Does it not strengthen my faith to know that life is hard and I have a saviour that does actually care.

He came down from heaven to make sure there was a way out for me, because He knows life is hard.
