I was wondering what translation you use. I love the NIV84' , but to be more literal in my studies I have been using the ESV. I have the NASB, the niv2011, NKJV, the NLT, and the KJV. I love the written word and have many bibles.

KJV, NKJV, Diaglott, HSB, and most others. I prefer the KJV and NKJV.

Well, the most recent thread was only from a few weeks ago, so it wasn't old. What I said still applies here.

The Wuest (NT) is pretty good for picking out some of the nuances of the Greek.

I use a NLT bible called The Way, which is like a devotional in that it provides reminders and tips on how to apply scripture into your everyday life and how to live in the way, Jesus' way.

I used to use the New Living Translation - which is like a paraphrase, but now I go for the NKJV (audio) or the ESV - a word for word translation which is true to the text but understandable

So then they can be warned about resurrecting old threads?

If we eliminated new threads based on the subject being covered by old threads, this place would be pretty empty of new threads.

To answer the question, I reference and compare as many different translations as I can, and don't rely exclusively on any one of them.
