Jesus said about Christians "Everyone will hate you because of me" (Matthew 10:22)

No other group in history has had even close to as great a positive humanitarian effect as Christians. We go to other countries and risk our lives to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and heal the sick. Even as short-term missionaries we endure heat and lack of proper amenities and go without sufficient food for the sake of others, all in the name of Jesus. All of the large humanitarian organizations (Red Cross, the Peace Core, etc) were founded and grown by Christians and are still most frequented by Christians. The Buddhists and the Muslims and the atheists aren't the ones going out there. They are the ones complaining that things aren't right, but they aren't going out there. Yet the world still hates US. They call US hypocrites, and they refer to US as cultists, brainwashers, ignorant, and stupid.

In the U.S. if you practice your religion, you're devout. Unless you're a Christian; then you're a racist and a sheep and naive. If you tell people about your religion, you're cultured. Unless you're a Christian; then you're impeding other people's constitutional rights. If you practice your radical lifestyle, you're a true American and people fight for you. Unless you live a Godly lifestyle; then you need to start separating church and state.

Christians aren't against gay marriage because they don't want people to be happy; they are against it because they love people, and don't want to see this country go the way of Sodom and Gomorrah. The more we let sin creep into our accepted culture, the closer we come to destruction. We know that it's in everyone's best interest to protect traditional marriage, to pray in schools, etc.

I got into a conversation with an atheist about this today. He said that Christians are the downfall of society. I asked him how he could say that, when Christians are out there saving lives. He said that if atheists had the funds and stuff, they probably would too. Yeah, real great out. "If". He countered what is real with something hypothetical.

The enemy is crafty and deceiving. This guy thought that his hypothetical argument was actually valid. The enemy will get people to hate Christians for illogical reasons, while being tolerant and accepting of drug abusers and racists and rapists and mass murderers. He got them to believe that killing babies is okay.

If the world hates you; you may be on the right track. Logically, without bias, an outsider would look at the Christian faith and think that they should be regarded as the heroes of this world. But Jesus said that they would hate us, and He is never wrong. The world doesn't realize that by hating us, they are just confirming what Jesus predicted. They are confirming Jesus' divinity.

Jesus was speaking about those who don't have the love of Christ in them. those who hate don't usually have Christ in there hearts. Though it is difficult at times to love everyone, even those who is against you. I heard that its better to dislike someone rather than hate. I'm not sure about that, as dislike turns to hate. Jesus tells us to love our enemies. those who hate us. Again it can be difficult, when they don't have the love of God in them. But I'm sure I am hated, Hopefully not of me personally, but What I represent, that I am a Christian and I have Jesus in my heart. and It's Him that they hate. Shame after what he did for those who do hate. But Jesus loves the haters too. so we should too..

I think it is because, to say it very simply, people want to be their own gods and decide right and wrong based on how they feel, what is popular in culture etc. we show up and tell them about the real God and his standards and they do not like it.

Do most people hate me? No. Do some people? Probably. Do most people understand me? No. Does that bother me? No.

I've had relatives tell me not to come back ever again. Did they hate me or just the message? I know of at least one that died unsaved. I wonder if she would like to hear about how Christ can save from sin one more time?

If she died, then she is freed of sin and with Christ. She may have been given to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, but in the spirit she learned what NOT to do.

What are you talking about? She died rejecting the blood of Christ and choosing to stand in her righteousness. She was led to hell by a false teacher who told her she was good enough to please God.

Ecclesiastes 9:2-6

[SUP]2[/SUP]All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
[SUP]6[/SUP]Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

That one event to all, is death!

When she is raised, will her love and hatred she accumulated under the sun be raised with her or will she be a new creature? Are we not raised incorruptible?

God saves even from the lowest hell! He is our God, and He loves us so very much!

This is why I am hated, because I give salvation to those the world claims do not deserve it, having not deserved it myself.

Salvation is not yours to give. Jesus said that those who believe in Him will be saved and those who do not believe will perish.

While no one deserves eternal life those who spurn the blood of Christ will receive the wrath of God.

You don't teach the gospel of Christ. You teach the heretical doctrine of universalism. Repent.

They told Jesus that in His day as well. If I do not have the power to forgive, then I am not a child of God.

Take this person. She hates me simply because I forgive those that she would condemn.

She could not explain the Gospel if her life depended on it. How is she then qualified to tell me to repent? Is it a good thing to save a life? To you it is not considering you would keep salvation from those who need it.

I don't think people hate christians personally. They obviously have some preconceived idea that they are attaching to all Christians.

Never let a persons faith form your opinion of them.

Do I believe what you believe in? Absolutely not. I can't change it either, but if a person is decent, I will like them regardless of their faith.

Spirit, she doesn't hate you, she hates the false doctrine of universalism.

What? She told you to repent...which you should. How can she hate you if she doesn't even know you? It does not say you have any power to forgive sins at all. If you mean forgiving people as in they have done you wrong then yes you have to forgive them.

If you mean forgiving as in sins, What bible are you reading? Book of Nowhere Chapter 0 Verse Doesn't exist?

Son, you need to crack your bible and spend some time in it. You have some ideas that aren't biblical doctrine in the least.

Well...I know Atheist hate me...others, if you get where their private sins are and what they do in the dark and start talking about that...they start to call you judgemental and too deep. Don't even start talking about Homosexuality which is bad but isn't half as bad as the sins that people have let slide...gossiping, lying, unforgiveness..etc.

if they do...Preach the Gospel...if they don't...preach the Gospel.
