Anyone who has read the Word knows what playing the harlot is in the Old Testament. If you do not, please study the times it is written about "playing the harlot" in reference to Israel's relationship with our Maker. Determine for yourself what that type of harlotry is, and then when you read in Revelation below you just may understand clearly who the woman is who is mentioned, and what is also very important you may understand better who the harlots are who are her daughters. The time is near, whether I be in season our out, the time is near.

Believe the Only Begotten Son, learn from Him, and worship Him, in this no one can go amiss.

Rev 17:3
So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Rev 17:4
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Rev 17:5
And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Rev 17:6
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Rev 17:7
And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
Rev 17:8
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Rev 17:9
And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

The woman on the beast represented the idolatries of the first century Roman society.

It's spiritual.
There are four different harlots that I can count.
Political, religious, social, economic.
Harlots are souls who sell themselves.
One beast.

that was Jerusalem.

Some would contend that it is future tense. I have seen where some also attribute it to be the catholic church.

:)

the woman was Jerusalem, and the beast she rode was Rome (The Empire, known world).

it's the same as Daniel's image (toes)

its the ten horns (Casears) and seven heads (Herods)

imo.

now we have the Gospel until the end.

Yes, I am following what is written in the quoted verses from Revelation.

Are you talking about the fact that she is called the "Mother of Harlots?'

If the Woman represents the idolatries of Roman society, then the offspring of that would be those who worship the beast - idolaters, anyone who worships or aligns themselves with anyone other than the Lamb.

I will not say yes to after the Roman Empire since the world civilizatons from Babylon do not seem to coincide with the ensuing civilizations of history`according to Daniel's vision of the statue. The civilizations up until today's were of one mind albeit by force, however today civiliation is not of one mind and weak compised of strong and weak nations. This is how I am able to see it. History does not quite show me this, no matter how the civilizations are counted.

here's a clue.

Galatians 4
Hagar and Sarah

21Tell me, you who want to be under the law, are you not aware of what the law says? 22For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman. 23His son by the slave woman was born according to the flesh, but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a divine promise.

24These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar. 25Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. 26But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother. 27For it is written:

“Be glad, barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
shout for joy and cry aloud,
you who were never in labor;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband.”

28Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. 29At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. 30But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”f 31Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.

......

the Rabbis at The Temple Mount Faithful Movement say Christians and Muslims are the daughters of Judaism and should come HOME TO THEIR MOTHER.

you decide.

Daniel 12 is about the time of Jacob's trouble.

everyone whose name was in the Book was delivered.

they became Christians.

they gave us the New Testament.

Very
interesting to see this manner of understaning. Thank you. It is very good to see the views and understanding of all.

here's a clue.

When you refer to "Jacob's trouble" this is somewhat ambiguous. Does this refer to the time of Jacob or is this a reference to one of the prophesies concerning Jacob and Israel?

This is, again, a slightly different understanding than my own studies have produced, but it is not really something anyone may exclude. Also, although my understanding is a little different, it is not out of the realm of other levels of meaning, and it seems quite logical. God bless you for this help, amen.

Perhaps I am rereading it and not seeing it. I see the Book of Life is referenced, which would contain all names entered into it from Adam to the return of the Master. I do not see a direct reference to something called "Jacob's problem." Thank you.
