How are we to understand these few scriptures?

John 15:19 – If you belonged to the world, the world would treat you with affection and would love you as its own. But because you are not of the world [no longer one with it],but I have chosen (selected) you out of the world, the world hates (detests) you. AMP

John 18:36 – Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If My Kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews. But now is My Kingdom not from hence.” KJ21

John 17:16 – They are no part of the world even as I am not of the world. ASV

1John 2:15-17 – Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. NIV

Do you love things of this world as all flesh does to some degree or another?
So since God's kingdom is not of this world and is of Heaven, and we all born here are born of flesh?
What is it that we need?
[h=3]John 3:3-8[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]3 [/SUP]Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. [SUP]6 [/SUP]That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. [SUP]7 [/SUP]Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
[SUP]8 [/SUP]
The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Okay how can one do this be born again? Can we earn it by working for it?
Or is it a gift from God to us through the cross?
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;

So the believer sees to be dead to self, the world and all its glamorous traps that cause a sinful life of selfishness.
This is not done by self effort, it is done by agreeing to God seeing self co-crucified with Christ at the cross to self, thus alive to God in the Spirit of God
we are saved by the life not by the death, and if there was no resurrection, then sins have not been taken away

Basically these are speaking of the fallen world system and order of things. Besides when it comes to the people we are to have a burden for their lost souls but don't expect their likes and ways of doing things your likes and ways...they are diametrically opposed to God and His ways.
