Jezebel hates the prophets, for the prophets speak out against her. The prophets are her worst enemies. When she wars, it is to stir people against the message of the prophetic church. Yet more than her hatred for the prophet ministry, she hates the word they speak. Her real enemy is the spoken Word of God.

- Francis Frangipane

......

oh look.

the Charismatics came up with a defensive (and highly offensive) trick to cow anyone who denies God is sending prophets today.

they are the modern prophets, of course.

cessationists are Jezebels.

'parently.

......

To show that I am not over-stating their claims, consider this statement by Francis Frangipane who claims to have sold hundreds of thousands of spiritual warfare books:

The church that successfully wars against Jezebel will be a church that inherits the glorious "morning star," which will be visible outward glory, a symbol of hidden, inward purity. It will be a church that exercises "authority over the nations," uniquely because it has conquered the Jezebel spirit which sought to strip God's servants of authority.14

He supposes that the Jezebel in Revelation 2:20 is a spirit being that is currently controlling much of society and the church. Jezebel's principle enemies are modern prophets who are "Elijah" coming in spirit before the coming of the Lord.

He states,

"Seeing Jezebel so blatantly manifest herself only confirms that the spirit of Elijah is also here bringing repentance and raising up warring prophets throughout our land!"15

In keeping with common dominionist spiritual warfare claims, this assumes that the church throughout history allowed itself and the rest of society to be ruled by Satan's agents, but that now new prophets with new revelations are going to bring us into world dominion.

The Third-Wave incarnation of the Manifest Sons of God Heresy in the 21st Century Charismatic Church.

The Manifest Sons of God

In 1948 a movement was born that remains a blight on the church to this day. It sprung out of a revival that was known as the “Latter Rain” revival. Heresy crept into this movement which shortly thereafter condemned by the Assemblies of God upon which it had a great effect. The erroneous doctrine known as the “Manifest Sons of God” (or Manifested Sons of God) was embraced by these “Latter Rain” proponents. This doctrine teaches an extreme eschatological view that the saints would be “glorified”, even “deified” right here on this earth before the resurrection. Other names by which this system of beliefs is identified include “Kingdom Now”, “Dominion Theology” or “Joel’s Army”. Proponents of this heresy believe that the end-time move of the spirit (prophesied by Joel) started with the Pentecostal movement, then the Charismatic Movement (which is now passé) and is now finally at what is being called “the Third Wave.”

One of the hallmarks of this movement is a de-emphasis on the scriptures and of doctrine. The Bible has become allegorical, and interpretations become subjective (1). Many within the third-wave movement have been conditioned, by the lack of sound biblical teaching, to believe that doctrine is unimportant. Leaders will often state that “relationship” is far more important than doctrine.

"For the last several years people have started to gather around fathers instead of doctrine." - Bill Johnson, Bethel Church

Who are they today?

It would take a book to document the connection between various players in the Manifest Sons movement today. Suffice to say, it would read like a who’s-who of conference speakers who are feeding the third-wave church (and especially the leadership and the elite) today.

Vineyard is one movement that has appropriated these beliefs. John Wimber, who in the early 70’s was a Quaker pastor, is credited with starting the Vineyard movement. Quakers teach that “every man has an inward light that was sufficient in itself to lead him to know God.”(2) By 1977 Wimber had started the Vineyard Christian Fellowship, which initially was associated with Chuck Smith’s Calvary Chapel. They left that association (because of their de-emphasis of the Word and various doctrinal problems)(3) and joined with seven other churches in the Vineyard Fellowships. Wimber became the leader of that association in the early 1980’s and remained leader until his death.

Wimber later became leader over a group known as the “Kansas City Prophets” at a time when they were under attack for their doctrinal positions and practices.(4) This major confrontation was resolved when Wimber stepped in and said he would deal with the problems and take them under his covering. As is typical within the third-wave movement, those problems were never really dealt with.

The Kansas City prophets included such internationally known “prophets” and conference speakers as Mike Bickle, Bob Jones, John Paul Jackson, Paul Cain, and Bob Jones. Affiliated with them, especially through his close working relationship with Bob Jones, is Rick Joyner of Morningstar. Francis Frangipane, Bobby Conner and Jill Austin (deceased) were in close association with all of the others. Prophecies from these persons are frequently shared on e-mail lists and web-sites.(5)...

ad nauseum.

You are not supposed to look behind the curtain. There is no hidden agenda here just keep moving. Where do all these conspiracy people come from anyway? Are you trying to persecute these spiritual warriors? These who cloak themselves in mysticism.

Are there any Bible people who created their own delusions, called it prophecy, then black balled anyone who dared call them on their deception?

If so, who is it?

And if so, we need to title that "The *fill in the blank* spirit"

From what I'm reading from other resources, a Jezebel spirit is going to be someone who comes off as "spiritual" and who comes up with their own dreams, and who refers to other so called prophets. It doesn't appear from the reading I'm doing that a jezebel spirit can be someone who doesn't claim a direct pipeline of revelation from God, minus any interpretive work.

The situation becomes doubly deadly if ‘Ahab’ becomes infected with a fully fledged Jezebel spirit themselves. Jackson describes how contagious this seductive spirit can be. The Jezebel spirit always appears ultra spiritual, but, beneath the spiritual mask lies an overwhelming desire to be number one. It loves being noticed and receiving adulation. ‘Wanting others to become dependent on them, they rarely find things going well in a church, because they must prove that their spiritual maturity surpasses that of the pastor.’ They often dredge up prophecies or dreams from the depths of their soul, or ‘borrow’ them from other prophets in order to make the best possible spiritual impression. Such people are normally full of jealousy for those more gifted than themselves, or who receive greater honour and acceptance.
See someone who doesn't think God is directly speaking to them certainly can't fit the description of Jezebel spirit.

In 1997, Dean Cozzens *of Open Church Ministries published a prophecy titled The Hebrew Movement, which revealed that God foreordained four major moves for this century.

These were: 1.The Pentecostal Movement *2.The Faith-Healing Movement *3.The Charismatic Movement *4.The Hebrew Movement.

In this prophecy, the Hebrew or Messianic Movement is the final stage of empowerment before the Church is "thrust into His glory." Sadly, many Christians who have been sufficiently processed by the first three movements are being moved along the same conveyor belt of "new revelations" which is now carrying them through a full curriculum of "Hebrew Roots" teachings concocted by unconverted Jews and those feigning support to the Jewish people themselves.*

.......

THE HEBREW MOVEMENT
Open Church Ministries
Dean Cozzens
Colorado Springs
December 3, 1997

God’s goal for the Body of Christ is to move closer toward Himself, so that we might become one with Him. We need to become more like Him, that we might be more prepared to be with Him. If we are to be His people, we must assume His character, and take on His identity. We are to be His people, living in His ways.

On Sunday morning, April 13, 1986, I heard the following prophecy:

At the beginning of the twentieth century, when God looked down from heaven at the church, what He saw looked like a giant 747 airliner, but with no engines.

He then set out to attach four giant engines of faith and power to the body of the plane, so that the church would have the power to come to Him where He is, up in the realms of glory.

Each of these four engines represents one of the four major moves of God’s Spirit ordained for this century: 1) The Pentecostal Movement, 2) The Faith-Healing Movement, 3) The Charismatic Movement, and 4) The Hebrew Movement. All four are sovereignly ordained of God and coordinate and interrelate in His mind. Each successive move builds upon the last, but each has its own distinctives. None are perfect, but they all have something from God to contribute to His plan. The prophecy said that God was now beginning to attach the fourth and final "engine" --the Hebrew Movement.

Though many of the right doctrines have been in place in the Body of Christ, from all the past moves of God’s restoration through history, much is still missing, which God wants to restore.

This fourth movement is to be called "The Hebrew Movement." This movement will to some degree encompass and influence the entire body of Christ, adding depth, and leading us into greater unity at last, not just with one another, but with God and with His Word.

This fourth major move of the Holy Spirit in this century will be every bit as powerful as the previous three, and will bring this final work of God to completion in a final, unified, four-fold thrust of power and glory; it will take us all into the heavenlies to be with Him where He is.

The three previous engines of His power, which he has previously attached in His divine order, until now He has been only gently "revving" as if just testing them awaiting a more opportune time. When the plane is more properly aligned, down the centerline of His will, He can then give full throttle to take us all to glory and thus display Himself and His approval most fully among us.

What has come before may one day look very minor in comparison to what will occur on the earth when all four engines are finally given full throttle by His wonderful hand of command. When this happens, our great ship will quickly lumber down the runway and off to glory. On that great day, once the command to go is given, there will be no letting up until we finally leave these bonds of carnal flesh. Then God’s Awesome power will fill us all with the same awesome glory which is His eternally wonderful presence. On that great day, every gift of the Spirit will be operating in great release, and the Lord will be revealed in all of His fullness. We will then be like Him, full of His power and glory, for we shall see Him as He truly is, unveiled for all to see. Oh what wonder and majesty that will be!

But before the plane can be given full throttle, it must first make a critical turn in its thinking to line itself up with God’s holy runway. The critical turn in thinking is the shift away from the Greek corruptions of the past and back toward the centerline of the God-ordained Hebrew runway, down which Jesus Himself came and landed perfectly. Jesus Himself was the airship, and the terminal where He had been loading since His first coming has been the world into which He has come.

The runway then was all the revelation of God Himself had been preparing for centuries before the coming of Christ. This revelation then, through prophets of old, from Adam through Malachi, was the runway. There it had been, for hundreds of years, and through several generations, carefully laid down, by God in preparation for the coming of His only Son to planet earth. It had been readied by the Father, for Jesus to land on, for as it says, "in the fullness of time" God sent forth His Son. The runway then is all the Old Testament, i.e. all of the Old Testament Hebrew truth and revelation, and much of the Hebrew culture and custom that came with it.

Since then, His great body has been parked at the terminal of the world loading with passengers to go at His prompting, back to glory. It is even now nearly full, and is filling rapidly. It is nearly ready to depart. When that great door finally closes, and the plane pulls away, Jesus the pilot will rev those engines to get us from the terminal to the runway’s edge, where we will sit, with engines idling, giving Him time to test the controls, and to make sure that all is ready.

Then Jesus, smiling I’m sure, when He is ready, and with the clearance from God the Father in the control tower, will release the brakes, and rev the engines once more. This time, all four engines will surge to life and contribute their parts, all in unison. This will move the ship out onto the runway with ease.

Then, before the plane goes too far ahead, and at just the right time, Jesus will turn the ship the 90 degrees that is needed to aim us directly down the runway! Then we will be ready to go! Then and only then will conditions be right for full power. That point will be when our ship is directly in line with all that God has laid down before us, in the Hebrew Bible that we call the Old Testament.

The point is, that before all four engines can safely be powered up to their maximum to lift us up into Christ’s presence, we must more perfectly align ourselves with the God of the Bible, with Who God really is! Since God revealed Himself through the Old Testament, which Jesus perfectly fleshed out for us to see in visible form, that’s where we’ll have to look, and that’s what the Hebrew Movement is all about.

Where are we now? My personal opinion is that in church history at this point, we’ve managed to get taxied back out to the runway. I think that our plane has taxied about as far as it can on the taxiway of Greek thinking. If we go much further, we’ll run off the other side of the runway into the ditch.

I believe that right now, God is saying, "Turn and align your thinking more perfectly down My revealed runway of Hebrew thought, the thoughts I revealed through the Hebrew people, and let’s get ready to go to Glory!" We must meet God on His terms, not ours.

We’ll leave on the same runway Jesus landed on--Old Testament Hebrew revelations and prophecies, and Hebrew ways of thinking and living. That’s who God revealed Himself to be, and Who Jesus also showed Himself to be when He lived here on this planet in the flesh.

Many errors were incorporated into the early church in order to please and accommodate the Greek culture, and to escape anti-Hebrew persecutions from the Romans. these early corruptions are what we mean by the Hebrew-to-Greek shift. The correction of this past mistake is the turning of that great airliner in what is called the Greek-to-Hebrew shift, or the Hebrew Movement. It is what God now expects from us before He more fully empowers us, and thrusts us into His glory. It’s what we need to do to make Him more comfortable about openly identified Himself with us in His full approval of glory and power.

Perhaps this is what Jesus was talking about in Matthew 5 when He said, "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets: I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill [to bring fuller expression and clarity]. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the Law, until all is accomplished. Whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven." Matt. 5:17-20.

It’s almost as if Jesus were predicting, though certainly not approving what eventually did happen in the church when it left its Hebrew roots. He may have even been predicting the very Hebrew movement which will now wrap up the church age. This verse says that unless we connect the move of the Spirit which Jesus brought, with the Hebrew which He Himself was walking in, then we as the church, and as individuals will not be ready for lift-off into the kingdom of heaven. We have to align with Him.

The church has now come full circle. All that has gone before, from the Reformation until this very minute, has been God’s cautious and persistent work to get us back to the fuller understanding of Who Jesus was. It is now time for the fuller revelation of Who God and Jesus really are. He is saying "I want you connected to the Old Testament root, but in fulness and the power of the Holy Spirit, so that you can keep the Law as I kept it, in the same Spirit in which it was given, in redemptive love and power." We must move back to the centerline of God’s truth, but with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Yeah pretty nifty how that concoction of rhetoric could disarm a discerning person with a tender heart, who simply wants to call a false prophet for what they are.

It's time for me to testify.....

Long story short..

The further I get away from the whole modern day God is speaking to me through prophecies/dreams/whatever movement, the clearer everything in my walk with God as gotten.

Now canna get an amen in here tonight?!?!?!?

Canna a brother or sister testify with me?

Yeah I'm pretty content with the prophets God sent in the past, and who have their words/revelations written down in scripture. As someone who used to be deceived by the modern day smoke and mirrors of "prophecy", I pray folks come out of it. It's a total destabilizer in the walk with God.

I thought everyone who had the Holy Spirit spoke as oracles of God whenever they preached the Gospel and told people about Jesus.

Even in the OT the purpose of the prophets were to point people to JESUS and what He would do: redeem and forgive His people their sins, circumcise their hearts and teach them HIs ways.

We're to speak as if declaring the oracles of God.
Meaning take it serious.

If all declaring fell under the title of prophet, then we might as do away with other titles like apostle, teacher, pastor, elder, etc.

THE FALSE PROPHETS CLUB

What is becoming a bit of a new and exclusive prophetic club-cum-mafia all seems to connect somewhere to the dubious granddaddy of so many things, Bob Jones, who has been spiritual mentor to such as Todd Bentley and a guide, justification and “father” to many others – Pat King considers sitting at his feet next to doing the same before Jesus! All the following names who enjoy a certain respectability in charismatic circles they shouldn’t have, show connections with Bob Jones and/or the Kansas City prophets or with Patricia King and Todd Bentley. They include such iffy writers, preachers or campaigners (many promoted on Steve Scultz's Elijah list on the Net)as:

Rick Joyner, Mike Bickle (first and chief defender of Bob Jones in Kansas City), John Crowder, David Herzog, Ryan Wyatt, Francis Frangipane, Bill Johnson, Chuck Pierce, James Goll, Stacey Campell, Bobby Connor, Jill Austin, Lou Engel, Randy Clark, Shawn Bolz (in touch with God’s angelic minister and angels of finance), Peter Wagner. Also Kathie Walters (angels have let her ride a golden motorbike round the skies because God wants believers to have more fun), Barbie Breathitt of Breath of the Spirit Ministries (is there a name connection here?) who will sell you Tarot like cards to interpret your dreams and know why you have an illness, John Paul Jackson (chosen by an angel before birth) and the wayward, Paul Cain, (periodically condemned and restored for a mixture of alcoholism and gay sex. He absurdly considers Branham “the greatest prophet who ever lived”). Cain originally helped promote the ever smiling and filmstarrish Matt Sorger who takes two healing angels with him wherever he goes and invokes revival angels almost anywhere.

Matthew 7:15
A Tree and its Fruit

15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.

is John Paul Jackson a false prophet?
are John Paul Jackson and Francis Frangipane false prophets?
do they claim to be prophets?

who are they really?
has it ever been revealed who they really are?
what do all the people listed above have in common?
is there a common denominator among all those people, within that movement?

is it reasonable to say that group (and their movement) are of a kind (from the same tree)?
Jesus said we would know false prophets by their fruit.

would The Charismatics (i.e - John Paul Jackson) have the means, opportunity and motive to inject the unbiblical narrative of a Jezebel Spirit into certain circles?

their nebulous demonic spirit is supposedly driven by a crazed hatred for today's prophets/prophetic office.

"she" apparently hates the spoken word. apparently must be fought at every turn, since "she" is attempting to bring down the Five-Fold Ministry:

The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is a movement in Protestant Christianity largely associated with Pentecostalism and the Charismatic Movement. Its fundamental thesis is that God is currently restoring the lost offices of church governance, namely the offices of Prophet and Apostle.

what would the motive be for adding to the Word (in direct violation of Revelation 22), building the notion of a "spirit" infesting churches, driven by opposition to the Five-Fold ministry (particularly THE prophets listed above, and precisely John Paul Jackson and friends)?

what kind of tree produces fruit such as this?

is it a good tree?

is it possible to see if this tree was planted by The Father?
what happens to trees not planted by the Lord?

Matthew 7
I Never Knew You

21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

let's investigate further.

Acts 20:29
Paul's Farewell to the Ephesian Elders

28Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood. 29For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
