The Antichrist is just who Christ said He would be in Revelation 12: 9. That is not the pope or any man on earth now. The 2nd Beast is the same one in Revelation 12: 9.. You might as well single out all churches for all the muddying of the Word that gos on... And that does not helps matters any. But only leads to the one in Revelation 12: 9.
I honestly don't know who he is or where he would come from, but the fact that he is walking on this earth in living breathing flesh must mean he intends to act soon. some people actually spend 70% of their time trying to find out who the antichrist is and when they do they will announce it any way they can and will be assumed to be nut jobs.

This is somewhat true, since our ministry to the unsaved and saved alike is supposed to be of highest caliber whether the Antichrist is here already or not. However... The Bible delineated so much about his identity for a reason
1. In connection with Rome (the city of 7 hills... not necessarily Catholic or anything but a politically aspiring leader)
2. He will not be inhabited by the devil initially, and he will be a great deceiver of men
3. There are antichrists even today... for the term simply means those who are against Christ. Simply by this definition one cannot exactly say that the Antichrist is Catholic... for they believe in Christ and his death.
4. He will sit in the newly built temple and proclaim himself god while possessed by the Devil... making it clear he is in no way, shape, or form a Christian or one we should follow.

the first two Anti-Christ ; Anti – Christ One (A Government) and Anti – Christ Two : The False Christ will be here during Tribulations. This occurs during the Sixth Seal, Sitxh Vial and Six Trumpet.

Any student of the bible knows that the antichrist will most likely be a Syrian Jew. I could post all kinds of stuff to prove it. but you would show all kinds of stuff to show otherwise. so why waste my time. Read the last chapters of Daniel. He will not know the God of his fathers, this speaks of a Jew. say what you want.

This destroying angel of the abyss [Abaddon] will manifest in the human little horn [king] of Daniel's visions at the time appointed still pending
Nothing in the prophetic visions describes or names a Pope and the RCC .... neither fits the descriptions of the "antichrist" given in the Bible

Additionally, it is the Muslim religion that is growing and has surpassed the RCC

I was thinking God would "open" our eyes when the anti-christ does comes..i am wondering if that might be what "marking" our forehead might be..giving us wisdom so to speak...until then we just watch the signs He is giving us..wouldn't be more likely that the pope would be the false prophet at the end? I would think that the anti-christ would be a world leader..just my opinion

14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
And if you are a true believer living at the time, you will not be on the earth when Abaddon is released from the abyss .... but you will observe the tribulation from heaven
