Just wondering if it is possible for a Christian to hate God since the bible says that we have hearts that are wicked and deceitful.
If one suspects this might be the case in ones own life or in the life of a fellow believer, what can one do about it?

He can yield to the influence of the Holy Spirit. Besides, every one of us is by nature an enemy and hater of God. But yield to the influence of the Holy Spirit and He"ll make you see His love for you. And then the Bible verse "we love Him, BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US" will fulfil in you. Love begets love.

I think it's fairly obvious that one could hate God... why would Christians be commanded to "love the lord your God will all of your heart" if this was automatic?

One lesson learned from the science of cognitive dissonance is that one can improve feelings towards another by doing that person a favor. If you do something good for God, then your left-brain interpreter will probably decide that you did that because you love God, which will actually drive you to love God. So... specifically set about doing a selfless act for God.

Before conversion every Christian had a hatred towards God. Its Jesus Grace towards us that makes us realize this hatred and his love towards us that makes us want to change the relationship to something better.

If a Christian is blatantly defying God then do what Paul did and give them up over to Satan. They know better.

What we do to change the wickedness and hatred we have is to grow in our relationship with the Lord.
