The bible tells us that we are "born sinners' ie. We are sinners not because we sin, but we sin because we are sinners.
As far as I know, the only reason the human race is still alive is because of Noah who was a righteous man whose sons and daughters we are.
What I do not understand is why did God and does God continue to let sinners be born into this world?
Does it have something to do with God ordaining evil and bringing good out of evil.I am flummoxed - help!

Hi Mooky,

good question, yes we are born with sin nature and that's what makes us great sinners.... I think the fact that God lets anyone live is a mercy on its on.. but as for the reason. God had a plan to restore all things new.. and when you start from Genesis through we see that plan unfolding..particularily from Abraham onwards to Jesus... when Jesus returns all things will be fully restored and God will once again dwell with his people, under his rule, in his place..without the blight of sin.

Why is it taking so long? well that's only from our perspective, remember from Abraham to David your talking roughly 1000 years. One thing you have to remember that our far of great x40 grandchild could be one of his...he will bring them in at the right time..

Thanks for that great response.
I suppose one could refer to passages of scripture that explain that believers are the first fruits of redemption (Romans) and that we died in Adam but were made alive in Christ (Hebrews).
I think I get it.

that's why we must believe in god to be born of god sin is what seperates us from god. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. [h=3]1 John 3:9[/h]

The Scriptures do NOT teach that we are 'born sinners' but it states the following:

1) Isaiah 53v6: 'All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way...'

2) Ezek 18 (all) esp 18v20: 'The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.'

3) Gen 4v6,7: "If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."

Man/woman GO astray by a free will choice, they are NOT born astray or in sin!

Each individual bears the penalty for their OWN willful sin, a father does NOT bear the guilt of the son, NOR the son for the father!

God did NOT say to Cain that he was born in sin, BUT that he should follow the example of his brother Abel and rule over sin by His grace!
