I am just wondering about stewardship of gifts and talents.
I lament the fact that due to limitations of my circumstances it seems like I may not be able to develop my gifts and talents to their fullest degree.
It seems like life is so brief ,that one almost has to decide which gifts one will prioritise over others and if one doesn't use all ones talents will we still be able to develop.them in heaven ?

???? I think most people should be more concerned with learning to walk with the Holy Spirit and develop the Fruits of the Spirit than crave after spiritual gifts and talents.

gifts and talents like these bodies are for but a little while, for we are travelers sorjourning in a strange land. we are but day lilies blossoming for a brief moment to show the world God's glory. to shine His light and His love upon others before we fade with the setting sun.

what gifts and talents we have today are not meant to be hoarded or sought after for their own sakes but only as a tool or means to fulfill God's will and wishes for our life.

we are to seek God's will and His way. the one pearl beyond price for which all else is sold.

I wondered about that too when I was younger. Now that I'm older, I know the answer, because I watched it work itself out. God just gives you either a longer life, more efficiency in ministering, or more usable time in the years you have. God knows what He's doing, and as He does not exist in time, your whole life to Him is just one single event. Someday, you will see it that way too.

By the way, you can prioritize however you like. Life will just turn a different way until it all gets used. God organizes life by His purpose, not by our timekeeping. As long as you want to use everything for Him, this is how it is.

Sonnet XVI by John Milton
When I consider how my light is spent
Ere half my days in this dark world and wide,
And that one talent which is death to hide
Lodg'd with me useless, though my soul more bent
To serve therewith my Maker, and present
My true account, lest he returning chide,
"Doth God exact day-labour, light denied?"I fondly ask.
But Patience, to prevent
That murmur, soon replies: "God doth not need
Either man's work or his own gifts: who best
Bear his mild yoke, they serve him best. His state
Is kingly; thousands at his bidding speed
And post o'er land and ocean without rest:
They also serve who only stand and wait."

I think its reasonable to be concerned if one is very talented to want to see these gifts developed and honed. If you had read my post carefully you would have seen that I am not "seeking after"gifts and talents but merely wanting to make full use of them. It's a matter of stewardship.
