Did you immediately go to the Lord seeking His forgiveness? If you did, did you feel His lovingkindness? If you did not, do you still feel condemned?

you heard the holy spirit's voice when you became afraid, and so you were ashamed. parents do not punish the children that are not theirs, you felt guilt because your father was rebuking you,if your father was the devil he would have filled you with his approval.,,,,the lord is in the midst of loving you,,,,,,,,

Did you mean what you said or was it a case of a child talking back to his Father in heaven who Loves you and always forgives you when you ask forgiveness. The unforgivable sin against the Holy Spirit is believing Satin is Your God. We know you didn't do that. You would be Glorifying Satin in stead of our True Lord.

About everyone I've ever known has been afraid at one time or another that they committed the unforgivable sin. If you care if you committed it? If you go to God and ask for forgiveness in the name of His Son, you haven't committed it. I honestly don't believe you'd care if you'd really committed it. Also, when Jesus spoke of that sin, the Pharisees had just accused Him of healing with the power of Satan. I hardly think if you don't know what you even said or did, that you committed the unforgivable sin.

I think blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is dying unsaved in unrepentant sin and rebellion against God. It's a constant life-long rejection of the Gospel.

I used to have blasphemous thoughts that -seemed- like me but very uncontrollable. I said a few things out loud before in question. When I learned what the popular belief on blasphemy was, I was mortified and terrified to say the very least. I've had a lot of talks with people and saw some sermons that expressed this unforgivable sin as dying in our sins.

It makes a lot more sense to me that way than ignorantly saying something wrong. It's complete denial of the Holy Spirit's power in your life and dying in that rejection. If you feel guilt and shamed about this, and more importantly scared, then you are more likely being convicted and called to repent. I'd start with daily prayer and a chapter by chapter reading of the Gospels.

Hope this helps.

Jesus was speaking to the scribes and rulers of Old Covenant Israel, who proclaimed themselves the teachers of their people. There was no covering for them to blaspheme God's Spirit. There is a covering in Christ Jesus for stupidity and idiots, or no one in this room could know God. They called the Spirit of God a demon, or unclean spirit! Or some kind of puke small fry! They were playing a damned-able game with the Creator of all things. I would remember the fear and never do it again though if i were you, but that's just my opinion! God Bless!

To Insult THE Holy Spirit is to openly and publicly announce for the motive of self attention that the Holy Spirit's works both inner and physical were done by Satan, openly advertising to other men and women so as to sway them to follow you or to
cease following the Lord Jesus. This public and advertise insult is of full intent that it is obvious and harmful to the Holy Spirit's ministry to others and to ones self so much so is the wound He departs from the announcer weeping never to return or minister to the person again.

Knowing that someone or something is of the Holy Spirit, and saying it is from Satan, is blasphemy. The Bible states that all manner of sin shall be forgiven, but blasphemy of the H.S. shall not be forgiven. Yes, we can see the scripture in Mark, but also in Matthew 12:31,32 says it all. Verse 32 says whoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. These are not my words, but God's words. I believe it is a very serious thing to speak against the H.S. in any way, whether out of anger, or flippant words, or carelessness, etc. We are to be on our guard and watch all the time as Christians not to say any kind of blasphemous words, especially regarding the H.S. I cannot tell you if this is a sin that will not be forgiven, but look into God's word and He will guide you.

This is a common tactic of the enemy. Those thoughts in your head were and are not your own thoughts. They are demons. You can not verbally commit the unforgivable sin. Think about it, what is worse? Blaspheming the Father, Son or Holy Spirit? They are co-equal. Jesus said this to a group of Jews who were plotting evil. This is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. It is rejecting the ministry and work of the Holy Spirit in your life.

Anyone who worries about committing the unforgivable sin, definitely has not done so. You have not committed this and reject those voices. Ask Jesus to pass His sword thru them every time they speak such nonsense.

You know, this sounds like it might be an obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). People with OCD have intrusive thoughts and sometimes intrusive images. OCD is often fear related. There are some medications that lessen the symptoms. You should go see your doctor and discuss your thoughts and fears with him/her and see if it might be an OCD issue.

Also there maybe a spiritual component to this. Pray about it and ask Jesus to show you how this got started and what to do about it. Read up on OCD and thoughts. I think it might help you.

Your a Christian, you really don't need to act that way. We have to be mature men and women of God. But don't worry if we allow God to work in our lives He can mold us into a mature Christian. Nothing wrong with being straight to the point about something, like righteous indignation , when something needs to be said, whatever the case.

The way to combat things like that is, to stay in the Word reading and studying it everyday. And you'll do fine.

And NO, That is not the unforgivable sin. Only the Elect can commit that at the hour of temptation. Which has not happened yet. And I don't think that is possible for them.
But there is No way you committed that. Period. Just we need to repent when we fall short, in Christ name, and God can forgive that.

If you want a study I can send you one that outlines this clearly from the Bible, and what it actually is. But you did not commit that. What you did is not the sin its talking about.

I just want to add, even though what you did, is Not the unforgivable sin. It's still not good. Just repent. We all fall short , And get into the Word. If you don't know what it actually is, you have to get into the Word to find out . And study. I can talk about it some maybe in chat, because I have studied it, And read it, and know what it actually is. if you had known, then you would not have worried, So ignorance is not always bliss, is some times causes undue worry and anxiety . But maybe we have to come to some truths when you are mature enough to handle what God has for us , and would have us know.

But blasphemy doesn't mean die or to not repent, or something as broad in meaning as 'rejection.' Btw, dying is not a sin. Our Lord died.

Matthew 12:37 puts uses other words:
Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
(NIV)

Hi Presidente. I know dying isn't a sin. I think about it like this: What happens if we die unsaved? Are we forgiven or do we face judgment? But I thought there was only one forgivable sin? Making blasphemy secondary to that would make 2 unforgivable sins right? Wouldn't the constant rejection of the Holy Spirit and the Gospel until death make sense as being that unforgivable sin then?

That's just how I understand it. I could be wrong. I also agree that the public defaming of the Holy Ghost would be part of this blasphemy. This would be evident in many of the televangelists and other warped gospel preachers that are out there. But it is a lifelong commitment I think to the rejection, not just a one time thing you say out of ignorance. It's a willful and constant rejection until the very day we die.
