no there isnt
week 69 - messiah crucified AD31
week 70 - great tribulation - just ask the disciples - AD38
millennium AD 38 - 2038 (satan bound during this time - on a REALLY long chain)
2039 we are due to enter the eternal state
Wow, another date setter. I guess someones bound to be right sometime. But everyone who has set dates in the past have been wrong... If I live that long, I'll be back to rebuke as a false prophet of God if this doesn't come to pass. Dangerous ground my friend, dangerous ground!

There is a break after week 69, the time of the Gentiles, or era of grace, whatever you want to call it, that we are still living in. Week 70 will be the "time of Jacob's trouble." There is only no break in the weeks to those who allegorize, but this is also making of scripture whatever you can imagine, producing error that would claim such absurdities as the tribulation having occurred. Yet the word of God is not imprecise, is not Nostradamus. If we know all those prophesies which have been literally fulfilled before and of the first coming of the Lord Jesus, why would anybody believe the second coming will not also be literally fulfilled, as spelled out in scripture?

Whether you are a preterist that believes Daniel's 70th 'seven' (week of 7 years) was fulfilled in 70 AD or a futurist that believes Daniel's 70th week is yet to be fulfilled, you must place a break in Daniel 9:26, between the end of the 69th week in 33 AD (when Jesus Christ was cut off) and the beginning of the 70th.

If you do not accept a break, where do you place the beginning and end of Daniel's 70 weeks?
I am not so sure that the belief that Daniel's 70 weeks have already been fulfilled makes one a preterist. Is it not the belief that all of Revelation prophesy has been fulfilled that makes one a preterist?

By the way --- Daniel's 70th week was not fulfilled in 70 A.D. -- the 490 unbroken stretch of years ended approximately 3.5 years after the resurrection of Christ -- about the time Stephen was stoned.

The end of the 490 years marked the end of 'the times of the Jews' and the start of 'the times of the Gentiles'.

The end of the 69th week is the beginning of the 70th week -- there is no 'between'...

No -- I do not have to place a break in Daniel 9:26 -- there is no break -- I do not place any breaks in the entire stretch of 490 years.

That does not make me a preterist. I suppose I would be called a 'historicist' -- I do not believe that all of Revelation prophecy is fulfilled - some of it, yes - but not all of it.

My view of the 70th week.....

Daniel 9:2 sets forth there is to be 70 years of Babylonian Captivity and that it was about to be fulfilled..
Verse 24-->God is yet to deal with Israel for another 70 weeks (490 years) 70 times 7
Verse 25-->From command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem unto the Messiah which is to be 69 weeks (483) years
This was fulfilled at the Baptism and recognition of Jesus by the Father
To understand the (62) weeks of verse 26 you must study Ezra and Nehemiah
There is a period of about 52.5 years between the First Command and the Completion in verse 26
After the 483 years and Jesus identified as the Messiah by John at Jesus' Baptism
434 years after the rebuilding of the Temple the Messiah shall be cut off (Crucifixion)
The people of the prince that shall come (Titus) destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D.
The 490 years (70 weeks) were put on hold (if you will) after the 486 years which leaves 1290 days left to complete the 490 years

NOTE ABOVE 434+52.5=486.5<-----3.5 years left to wrath when it starts with the opening of the 1st seal! Israel goes by a 360 day year and adds a 13 month every few years to make up the discrepancy between the Jewish and Roman calendars.

That chart's not right. The "cut off" should be at the end of the 69th week, not in the middle of the 70th.
Nope.

What most people do not understand is that - the 'threescore and two weeks' does not start counting from the end of the 7th week. ;)

It starts counting from the end of the rebuilding of [ the city of ] Jerusalem - which is 52+ years after the commandment is given... Counting 'threescore and two weeks' ( of years ) from that point in time places the end of [ the 62 weeks of years ] in the middle of the 70th week.

I note that you make an assertion.
But where is the proof?

Wasn't Stephen stoned (in 34 AD) 3 1/2 years after Christ's death, burial and resurrection (31 AD)? Would that be the end of time for the Jews to accept Christ before the gospel went out to the Gentiles?
Please see post #24 -- and, in particular, the blue line in the middle of the post.

There is no break in the prophetic 490 years.

Week 70 will be the "time of Jacob's trouble."
The 'time of Jacob's trouble' is Armageddon. It is not "the tribulation period", and is in no way directly associated with Daniel's 70th week.

There is only no break in the weeks to those who allegorize, but this is also making of scripture whatever you can imagine, producing error that would claim such absurdities as the tribulation having occurred.
Who said anything about allegory? It is simply what the scriptures actually say --- and, scripture does not say anything about a 'break' in the 490 years... It is absurd imagination that "conjured up" the 'break' in the first place...

Yet the word of God is not imprecise, is not Nostradamus. If we know all those prophesies which have been literally fulfilled before and of the first coming of the Lord Jesus, why would anybody believe the second coming will not also be literally fulfilled, as spelled out in scripture?
Precisely. God's Word very precisely indicates very clearly that there is no break in the 70 weeks of Daniel.

AFTER indicates GAP; Time Scale Requires a Gap

AFTER indicates a GAP

4
Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city,
to finish transgression, and
to make an end of sins, and
to make reconciliation for iniquity, and
to bring in everlasting righteousness, and
to seal up vision and prophecy, and
to anoint the most holy.

[Since 70 weeks cover all that, & since reconciliation was made around 33 AD yet everlasting righteousness has never been brought in as of 2014 AD, there must be a gap, as 70 X 7 week-years = 490 years.]

25
Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the anointed one, the prince, shall be
7 and 62 weeks [=69 weeks];
it shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troublous times. 26 And
after 62 weeks
[GAP between 69th & 70th wk]
1. the anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing [the cross]; and

2. the people [Romans] of the prince that shall come [Beast] shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, [AD 70]

and even unto the end [Consummation of the Age, Messiah's Return] shall be war;
desolations are determined.
[70th Week:]
And he [the Prince that shall come]
shall make a firm covenant with many for one week [70th wk];

and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate.

The 'he' of Daniel 9:27 -- all three of them -- are referring to the Lord Jesus Christ - who Himself fulfilled the 70th week.

The Messiah was to be cut off, but not for Himself - Verse 26. Now in verse 27, we find that in the midst of this last week, HE WOULD CAUSE the sacrifice to cease. When he made his soul an offering for sin (Isaiah 53:8, 9, 10), the old system of sacrifices ended. The blood of the lamb offered twice daily was finished. This cutting off the Messiah (Isa. 53:8; also Daniel 9:27), happened in the midst of this seventieth week. Then there were three and a half years left to fulfill the 70 weeks exactly. The 70 weeks were determined upon Daniel's people.

During the following one half of this last week, or three and a half years, they refused to hear the message. The Messiah also said just before He was cut off, speaking of the Jews: "They shall fall by the edge of the sword and be led away captive into all nations, and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles UNTIL the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled" (Luke 21:24)

No it wasn't for thy people the Jews & Jerusalem. Instead of ending sin in Jerusalem, the Romans destroyed the place and sinned big time. The Holy City has had no end of sin nor everlasting righteousness yet.

Yup. After indicates a GAP because things happen AFter the after & before the 70th week starts with the covenant.

No, the proof for your assertions is your own burden. If you expect to be believed here, you just saying things won't do it. Bible proof is required.

26 And after the threescore and two weeks shall the anointed one [Christ] be cut off, and shall have nothing: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city

The people who destroyed the City of Jerusalem are Romans. That implies that the prince's people are Romans. Thus this prince is a Roman. He cannot be Christ.

and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and even unto the end shall be war; desolations are determined. 27 And he

The antecedent of this he is the Roman prince of vs. 26, not Christ.

shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he [The Roman Prince]

shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate.

Dudes Israel is God's prophetic time clock so when there was no Israel the clock stopped.
Then the clock restarted in 1948 and then ran out in 1951?

FYI, Christians are Israel.

Truly the return of Israel to the land is a sign to this generation. But:

FYI, Christians are not Israel. Romans 9-11.

The clock did not restart in 1948. The Beast's Covenant restarts the clock.
Israel was in the land in Jerusalem after the 69th week
(between the crucifixion and AD 70 was about 40 years.)
Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles until the Times of the Gentiles is over.
Those Islamists are there now, treading around, occupying the Temple Mt.
