How do these 2 verese not end the debate?

Mattithyah 24:29-30, "Immediately, but after the tribulation of those days will the sun be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven; and then will all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."

1 Corinthians 15:52, "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed."

"Immediately, but after the tribulation of those days"
"And then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven"
Does it get any clearer?
Because this is his second coming when he and the saints appear

GOOD to see the truth being preached here! The, "Rapture," lie was invented in 1837 in Glasgow, Scotland, by Margaret McDonald. The doctrine had never seen the light of day before then, from the foundation of the church. Scripture in NO place suggests that Christians will escape the Great Tribulation. In fact, it says that NON Christians will be taken first (read the Parable of the Tares). I've written thoroughly on the subject on my www.Micaiah.com website, at: Escape or Endurance? - Introduction

The context of Matthew 24-25 (the Olivet Discourse) is not the Rapture. There is no church present in those chapters. The context of those chapters is the 7 year tribulation, the Second coming, and the judgment of the nations (separating the sheep nations from the goat nations) and the setting up of the 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ on the earth from Jerusalem.

The original purveyors of the, "Rapture," doctrine, and those who really make a living from it, suggest that the Holy Spirit will be taken up FROM the earth, along with the church, at the supposed, "Rapture." They say to us that for that reason, NO ONE will be able to become born again after that, and that if anyone is to come to God, it'll only be, as in the Old Testament, in a superficial, law-following way, without the Holy Spirit's transforming Presence in their lives. (In the Old Testament, as the Holy Spirit had not yet been poured out, He merely abode UPON men, not IN them. For that reason, all men were, "non-Christians," and went to heaven only if, at death, their, "good was more than their bad.")

In other words, these purveyors of false doctrine suggest to us that Christ's death on the cross, and the Holy Spirit's regenerating work, will no longer be valid and working IN man... that the salvation for which Christ paid so dearly was merely a, "limited-time-offer." Hebrews 10:29 "Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?"

I do not agree, the holy spirit may be taken for a time but will be poured on anyone who repents and chooses to follow him in the tribulation later. Otherwise the only people going to heaven would be the small portion of people Raptured and heaven would be kind of vacant

Well guys you can replace the rapture by being Cught up. It's just what is going to happen soon and we'll all see it. I personally believe that I am going to see many visions and dreams and I've seen a dream concerning the end time sign. But people can call me whatever they want, I call onto people to start to live in holiness and obeying God and if people call me religious due to that let God change their heart, and when they hear people with visions and end time dreams, they call them hallucinating people. Well we are not hallucinating, we are healthy Glory to God. And we will keep preparing the way for the Lord. Jesus is coming soon! Shalom!

plainword.God bless you.i read your post where you say that if there is a rapture then you would be going in it anyway so no harm no foul.i agree that if you are a born again holy spirit filled Christian then this is true, but then why would you label the pre-trib rapture as satans great lie?as Christians I believe we should never label something this way just because we cannot SEE it or understand it.Remember we can quote scripture FOR or AGAINST any topic but Jesus has already said that the mysteries of the Bible are hid from the wise and the prudent and revealed to babes such as would learn and humble people.matt 11:25.The lord predestinates us according to his good pleasure. There are some Christians whom the Lord has given a revelation of the rapture to and some he has not.predestination lays a great part in this.Jesus does not always speak plainly in fact most of his teachings were in parables and even his disciples were confused most of the time until he explained himself to them later. And sometimes he did not even explain himself to them but they still had revelation on what he was saying.an example of this is in matt 28:19 where Jesus commands his disciples to baptize in the name of the father son and holy ghost yet in acts the disciples proceed to baptize in the name of Jesus Christ. This confuses many christians until this day.

Christ does talk about false teachers arising, and no I mean nobody on this thread. But also he talks of if any should say there is the son of man here or there believe him not do not be deceived, you will not have to worry he will have you gathered by the reapers those are his angels.I't simply tells us to be on guard meaning make sure at all times you are living truly for Christ.I't say let the wheat and tares grow together til the time of harvest then he will say bind the tares and burn them. But he tells the reapers(angels to gather the wheat saints into his barn. Now I don't know if I am not getting this correct or missing something.I will just be on guard in my walk with Christ.God bless all. This verse is in matthew 13 30

letti you are right in what you say.The question is what qualifies someone to be a wheat and what qualifies someone to be a tare? The deception in this age is at an all time high.so high it would deceive the very elect if it were possible.i believe the safest way is to stay with the word AND be led by the spirit. You can also tell if someone is false by if they stay with the word or not especially on the basic commands.

Can,anybody give a better explanation of this Rev chapter 2 verse 9 and 10 I know your tribulation and your poverty(BUT YOU ARE RICH)and the blasphemy by those who say they are Jews and are not,but they are a synagogue of satan.Do not fear what you are about to suffer.Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison,so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days.Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.He who has a ear,let him hear what the spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt be the second death. What does this really mean?

We just need to be prepared spiritually as also marrion said, self examination prayer and seeking the Lord in all we do.Narrow is the path that leads to salvation and we can forget that if we aren't careful.

The parable of the Wheat and Tares (Matthew13:24-30) has been incorrectly interpreted as teaching that God does not want the Christian to exercise judgment against sin and error. That this is not the meaning Christ intended is obvious by the many commands in the New Testament regarding church discipline and separation from error. The Lord Jesus Christ was describing the conditions in the world during His absence in Heaven. He plainly said this in verse 38. The field is the world, not the churches. The kingdom of God will assume a mystery form, meaning a form not revealed in Old Testament prophecy (Matthew 13:11). Mystery means the revelation of truth hidden in prior ages. It refers to New Testament truth that was hidden from the Old Testament prophets. The Old Testament describes the coming kingdom of God on earth, but it does not foresee this present interlude between the first and second comings of Christ, this age during which Christ is calling out a people for His name among the nations. In the parables in Matthew 13, the Lord taught that the conditions in this church age will be that of increasing apostasy and wickedness. The kingdom of heaven in its mystery form is all of professing Christendom, lost and saved, apostate and true. It includes the Roman Catholic Church, the Protestant denominations, the cults, as well as the sound apostolic congregations. When Jesus says that the tares must not be rooted out until the end of the age, He is referring to the fact that apostasy cannot be destroyed until that time. The churches are not to put heretics to death or burn down the apostate cathedrals! God will take care of error as far as rooting it out of His kingdom when Christ returns in power and glory. To interpret the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares as applying to the New Testament church is a great error and contradicts the rest of the New Testament Scriptures.

Source: Way of Life Encyclopedia of the Bible and Christianity: PARABLE (Underlining and bolding is mine)

None of the parables in Matthew 13 refer to the Rapture of the church.

letti:SMYRNEAN CHURCH AGE (A.D. 170 to A.D. 312) - Messenger:Saint Irenaeus
Revelation 2: 8-11 reads-" And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and [I know] the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but [are] the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death." The name of the second church age was Smyrna, which means "bitterness or myrrh." It was associated with death, because the Christians here were dying. A persecuted church, the church of Smyrna passed through the fiery furnace of tribulations, but was a sweet-smelling savor unto Christ. The great ten days of tribulation means "ten years of the bloodiest persecution" which happened in this era. It was the bloodiest one of all of them since Nero in 67 A.D, Diocletian was the emperor here, during the year of 303 to 312 A.D.

Irenaeus was the star-messenger to Smyrna.
He was God's messenger 'cause he was the one who swept the country, into France (Gaul), establishing churches, and every one was established upon the baptism of the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues, raising the dead, healing the sick, stopping the rains, and performing miracles daily. He knew that the living God lived among the people.

Letti, here is a little more on rev chp 2:9-10.The city of Smyrna was a little north of Ephesus at the mouth of the Smyrna Gulf. Because of its very fine harbor it was a commercial center renowned for its exports. It was also distinguished for its schools of rhetoric, philosophy, medicine, sciences, and fine buildings. Many Jews lived there, and they were bitterly opposed to Christianity, even more so than were the Romans. In fact, Polycarp, the first bishop at Smyrna was martyred by the Jews and it is said that the Jews desecrated their holy day (Saturday) to carry the wood that would make his funeral pyre.[SUP]113-1[/SUP] The word Smyrna means, "bitter," being derived from the word, myrrh. Myrrh was used in embalming the dead. Thus we have a twofold significance found in the name of this age. It was a bitter age filled with death. The two vines within the framework of the church were drifting further apart with an increased bitterness toward the true vine on the part of the false. Death was not only the seed of the false vine but even in the true vine there was a creeping paralysis and impotence because they had already drifted from the unadulterated truth of the first few years after Pentecost; and no true believer is any stronger and spiritually healthy and alive than his knowledge of and adherence to the pure Word of God, as seen by multitudes of examples in the Old Testament. Organization was growing apace, confirming and augmenting the death of the membership, for Holy Ghost leadership was deposed and the Word was replaced by creeds, dogmas and man-made ritual.
[SUP]113-2[/SUP] When Israel entered into unlawful alliances with the world, and formed fellowships by marriage, the day finally came when the world took over and Babylon carried away the people of God into captivity. Now when they went into captivity they went in having a priesthood, a temple and the Word. But when they came back they had rabbis, a theological order of Pharisees, a synagogue, and the Talmud. And when Jesus came they were so corrupt that He called them of their father, the devil, and this in spite of the fact they were of Abraham according to the flesh. In this age we see the same thing happening. However, as 'all Israel' is not Israel, but a little group were the true Spiritual Israelites, so there would always be a little group of true Christians, the bride of Christ, until He came for His own.
[SUP]113-3[/SUP] In this city there were two famous temples. One was the temple erected to the worship of Zeus, and the other was erected to Cybele. And between these two temples was found the most beautiful road of ancient times, called the Golden Street. To me this depicts a further inroad of paganism that had already started in the first age, but was known to exist only at Rome. The joining of the two temples of a god and goddess is the seed of Maryolatry wherein Mary is called the mother of God and receives honor and titles and powers giving her a coequality with Jesus Christ. The Golden Street that joins them is a picture of the greed that caused the Nicolaitane organizers to join state and church because they knew the wealth and power it offered them. As the Ephesian Age was but the seed bed for the tragic Pergamean Age that was yet in the future, this Smyrnaean Age was the rain, the sun, and the nourishment that ensured the vile corruption that would confirm the church in idolatry which is spiritual fornication, from which she would never rise. Death was permeating her root to branch and they that partook of her, partook of bitterness and death. For more on this topic check out [h=3]The Smyrnaean Church Age by William Branham[/h]he does a great job explaining what went on at this time and backs up his claim with historical records too.

Regardless whether someone believes in a pretribulation rapture or not, there are approximately 300 Christians killed a month worldwide for their belief. Thousands more are put in work camps, beaten, abused, have homes destroyed, and are tortured. Christianity is the most persecuted religion worldwide to date and the most opposed with violence. They are not raptured from this. I don't think we should expect an easy exit regardless of how we interpret the scripture regarding a rapture but should instead be prepared to DIE for our faith in Jesus.

Millions of Christians may be in for a rude awakening when the time comes, and it's already at our doorstep. Those expecting an easy escape, are you prepared for this?

linda70 that's an interesting beakdown.never seen it like that before.however I believe God is nowseperating the wheat(individuals)from the tares(denominations)In Matthew 13:30, it says, ”Let both grow together until the harvest:and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”

This scripture pertains to the "calling out" today of all true Christians (the Wheat) out of Babylonian confusion to preparing them for the Rapture (the Harvest), while the denominational churches (the Tares) are being bundled right now in the World Council of Churches for the burning (The Armageddon war).

Before Jesus returns, there must be a uniting of all the religious organizations which will make a profession but alter portions of God’s Word to fit their creeds and dogmas. At the same time Jesus will separate His Own children by severing them from these denominations through faith in His pure Word (Revelation 18:4.) The ecumenical and charismatic movements today are a direct fulfillment of this alarming prophecy - the "bundling of the tares" for the burning.
A MESSAGE TO GOD’S ELECT
But to the ELECT, God is calling. A MESSAGE is being sent out today, “COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues!” (Rev. 18:4).

God is calling for His virtuous Bride, the Word-Born Seed. Who are these people? They’re INDIVIDUALS. They are those of whom it speaks in Ephesians 5:14, “Awake thou that SLEEPEST, and ARISE FROM THE DEAD, and Christ shall give thee Light.” These are those sleeping among the dead, dead out there in those dead denominations and are floating with them. God cries out, WAKE UP AND REPENT OF YOUR FOLLY!” There they are lending their influence, giving their time and their very lives to these AntiChrist organizations and all the while thinking it is all right. THEY NEED TO REPENT AND TURN TO THE TRUTH!

The cry of every age is the rebuke: “You have LEFT the Word of God.Repent and come back to the Word!” From the first book of the Bible to the Last Book, there is only ONE reason for God’s displeasure - LEAVING THE WORD; and there is only ONE remedy to regain back His favor - BACK TO THE WORD.
