I might suggest a couple or rules when dressing:

Don’t dress promiscuously
Wear clean clothes, when possible

As for promiscuous clothing, isn’t that what Jude is talking about when he says this:

[22] And convince some, who doubt;
[23] save some, by snatching them out of the fire; on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Jude 22-23 RSV

That's talking about clothing that has been stained by various lewd activities, not a particular style of dress.

There are no such regulations in the bible that I'm aware of. But there are a few rules on hygiene I believe.

Well, for a guy, I would say that meant not wearing stuff with vulgar messages on it, or things that endorse ungodly people/stuff. Umm like a marlyn mansion tee shirt might not be apropiate. ofcourse, listening to that kind of music is prolly not a good idea either with what Jesus says about the eye being the light of the body, I believe would also apply to the ears.

A woman didn't ask so I'll spare myself. :p

Thongs are just underwear. I dont see why it has to be sexualized or looked down upon. I can wear a corset and stockings if i wanted to and it wouldn't be evil- because it's functional.

Its just you. Lust has nothing to do with thongs.

Kayakers or rowers may wear thongs because well, you wouldn't want chaffing would you?

Maybe a guy is going rowing after church on a Sunday afternoon.

I do find that overweight people wearing stretch jeans or bike pants to church to be more unsightly.
