Numbers 13: 27 "We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. 28 But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large.

Numbers 13: 30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it."

Joshua 1: 3 3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.

Joshua 1: 6 "Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

Joshua 6: "See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men.

Joshua 6: 20 When the trumpets sounded, the people shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the people gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so every man charged straight in, and they took the city.

Every promised land has its own set of walls, obstacles, challenges, giants and overwhelming circumstances to overcome.

In Numbers the children of Israel saw the promised land was truly flowing with milk and honey. But they also saw that the people who lived there were giants and the cities were well fortified. Yet the stout hearted in God said, "Let's take possession of the land."

In Joshua God promised to give Israel every place they set their foot. Yet they were commanded to be brave, courageous and not to fear as they followed God obediently. Why were they told to not fear in the promised land? Probably because the promised land had things to be afraid of!

Jericho belonged to Israel, yet they faced a huge wall. God gave them marching orders and that wall came down.

Today you may be standing right in the midst of your promised land. What do you see? Do you see giants, walls, obstacles and the like? Do you see a land flowing with milk and honey?

If you see the giants and walls and obstacles take heart. It's probably a sign you're in your promised land. Live courageously and without fear. God is with you and you'll tackle those giants one by one.

It's not the promised land because it's easy. It's the promised land because God is with you, giving victory over every giant, wall, obstacle and challenge you face.
