A lot of people don't understand this subject. I admit, it is a difficult one to wrap your mind around at times. But the word of God is very clear. I speak these verses as an encouragement. Let this Jesus be the cornerstone of your faith for He is the only sure foundation. If anyone wants the number of these passages just let me know.

God was pleased to have all of His fullness dwell in Jesus.

Jesus, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped but instead humbled Himself.

Jesus said: "I am the first, and I am the last, the Alpha and the Omega, the Almighty. I was dead, but behold, I am alive forevermore."

Jesus said to His disciples: "Anyone who has seen me, has seen the Father."

Jesus said: "I tell you, before Abraham, I AM!"

Also Jesus prayed: "Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory we had before the world began."

The reason I bring this up is because this is what separates christianity from all other false religions. Any religion that does not recognize the Deity of the Christ IS a false one. This is a bold statement I know, but it is a true statement. The flesh of Jesus Christ had a specific time that it was born here on earth but Jesus Himself is from everlasting. He made it very clear that He existed before the world began.

That's why all these different religions will say: "Jesus was a prophet, Jesus was a good man, or Jesus and Satan were brothers, or he was a great philosopher or some people say He was just a nut, just some crazy person." It's because an evil spirit can never say: "Jesus is Lord." Evil spirits do not profess the Lordship of Jesus because He is their undoing. Amen. It is very clear the spirit that fuels these religions is not the Holy Spirit. Because Only the Holy Spirit can say: "Jesus is Lord."

Again, I'm not trying to stir up controversy. I simply want my brothers and sisters to have a solid foundation in their faith. And there is no foundation apart from Christ. He's called the cornerstone for a reason.

None of your statements are controversial in the least.

Romans chapter 1 tells us that men did not like God so they went about to change Him into an image of four footed beasts and creeping things. It is not what men do not know about God that creates controversy but what they do know but can't tolerate because it reveals their inherit sinfulness.
