While I don't know what the truth about Monster. But.....as someone in Marketing industry; I can assure there are sinister activities of spiritual dimensions involved in many of the products we deal with. So I would suggest we don't under estimate these possibility. We are too remember God said the devil is pretty desperate. Of course misinformation, can always deflect the truth and make things of consequence seem trivial.

When else fails, go back to the basics. I mean , even if its harmless, why have consume a substance called MONSTER? Since everything about GOD is pure and righteous and HOLY etc.

I thought that the tv show Munsters was the mark if you watched it. By the way, I have a book on this subject and just for CC members you can have it for 9.99 plus shipping and handling. Thats a 30 dollar savings over non members. But wait there is more, if you act now. I will also throws in a piece of wood from the ark of Noah, but it it is only limited to the first 100 callers so act now.

recently there have been a whole lot of false teachings being pushed in the bible study room...ranging from laughable to disturbing...in all cases the number of people buying into these teachings is troubling... i want to address some of those false teachings with a few forum threads...

i will start with one teaching that is just plain ridiculous...

it has been claimed in the bible study room that the logo for the 'monster' energy drink is actually the biblical number of the beast written in hebrew...

this is what a monster energy drink looks like...the logo in question is the three 'claw marks' on the can...
View attachment 61763

it has been claimed that the three claw marks are actually the hebrew letter vav written three times...the hebrew letter vav looks like this...
View attachment 61764
here is a chart showing the rest of the hebrew alphabet for reference...
View attachment 61772

traditionally each hebrew letter has been assigned a numerical value...after reaching the last letter of the hebrew alphabet you can write higher numbers using combinations of hebrew letters... here is a chart of the numerical values of the hebrew letters...
View attachment 61765

as shown in the chart the number six is represented by the hebrew letter vav... it has been claimed that the three so called 'vavs' in the monster energy drink logo would translate to 6-6-6...the number of the beast in revelation...

but actually this notion is completely false...because the biblical number of the beast is not just the digit six repeated six times...it is actually the number six hundred and sixty-six...which would be represented by very different hebrew letters...

this can be seen from the original greek text of revelation...
revelation 13:18..."Ode he sophia estin. Ho echon noun psephisato ton arithmon tou theriou, arithmos gar anthropou estin, kai ho arithmos autou hexakosioi hexekonta hex."

'hexakosioi' is greek for 'six hundred'...'hexekonta' is greek for 'sixty'...and 'hex' is greek for 'six'...so the number of the beast is six hundred and sixty-six...

older bible translations such as the king james version show this clearly by using the phrase 'six hundred threescore and six'...
revelation 13:18..."Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

looking at the chart of the numeric values of the hebrew alphabet...the actual number of the beast which is six hundred and sixty-six would be represented by the letters 'tav resh samekh vav'...-not- 'vav vav vav'...and 'tav resh samekh vav' would have -no resemblance whatsoever- to the logo on the monster energy drink...

so the logo on the monster energy drink is -not- the biblical mark of the beast in hebrew...the teaching is false...
Well there goes nine months of research for my doctoral thesis down the toilet.
Luckily I have a back-up plan. The anti-Christ is supposedly identified in the Pepsi logo.

It's odd that Rachel makes such an elaborate defense of something nobody was talking about.

I was never suspicious of Monster drinks until now.
The number of times you have defended this makes me wonder if you think it is true. Do you own stock in Monster drinks?
That's just what happens when one creates a thread that Maxwel disagrees with.

Did we really make an entire thread just to argue with Zone?
What is your purpose for posting, what is your point of view, and what is your assessment of the video?
Instead of asking questions as if you're actually searching for answers, please just state you're an atheist here to argue and debate.
Please stop creating posts as if you're sincerely seeking answers... as this wastes the time of a great many people.

I don't even think i noticed the 3 claw marks were forming an "M".... oh boy.

My comment was in reference to the Hebrew :)
That's funny. ;) Shows how the power of suggestion can influence what we see.

I personally believe that *most* instances of logos appearing to represent (or count to) the number of the beast are purely unintentional (but some are indeed intentional because that's how mystery religions operate; acts of pride).

That being said, scriptures says people carry the nature of their spiritual fathers and can't help but to do certain things. So I also believe that many logos and images that godless people create DO indeed reflect/express that very number/image. They can't help it because they are of their father. The "mark" (Gr. "Charagma") of the beast leans more so towards a "character", than a branding.

The beast is formed from the "water" of satan's *mouth* (i.e. his word) in Revelation 13. Just like Christ washes us and makes us clean with his word, so does satan make us dirty with *his* word. This is why the water tries to swallow up the woman in Revelation 12. It's about deception. But then the earth drinks the water...and from that water comes the beast.

What's interesting is out of all of the other places in scripture where the Old Elizabethan word "beast" is translated/updated to its modern equivalent (in modern bibles), one of the places it's not translated/updated is when talking about this thing that comes from the sea.

"Beast" is the old English word that means "animal". The "Mark of the Beast" is the mark of the "animal", and the number of the beast is the number of a "man". So now how many men & women believe, act like, and teach/preach that we are nothing more than (smarter) animals? It's the entire world; individuals, families, communities, and corporations.

Satan is called "the serpent of old"; an animal. And mostly everyone already believe and act like animals these days...spiritually they already have "the mark of the animal" either in their forehead or their hand...so wouldn't their logos also reflect their nature?

Praus,

I think it's fine for Christians to debate, and disagree, and discuss things.
If I've said things in an unkind way, and upset someone, I'll be happy to apologize.

Now, as far as all of the comments of mine you posted... half of them were jokes, and I'm sure most people understood that. The other half of them were indeed confrontational, because I was talking to people who were being INTENTIONALLY DECEPTIVE WITH THE BRETHREN HERE ON CC.

The last two comments were directed toward an ATHEIST here only to cause problems. He was here PRETENDING TO BE A CHRISTIAN, in order to cause strife, and troll us. I had no intention of being polite to an atheist who is here being intentionally deceptive, and causing strife, and creating confusion and doubts in the minds of young Christians. You could tell by his various comments that his questions weren't sincere questions... his mind was already made up about God, and he was here practicing atheist apologetics, while PRETENDING to be a Christian.

Praus,
If I've upset you in some way, or treated you unfairly, then instead of posting a lot of comments with no explanation or context, why don't you just message me. If I've wronged you in some way, and didn't realize it, I'll be happy to apologize.

This is my opinion as if any one cares, if someone has that much time of their hands to find evil in a monster energy drink can, then they need to come to my house, clean my windows, do my laundry and make my family dinner. That is all, I now return you to your regularly scheduled arguing.

Careen you are reading too much into it. It means it has a lot of energy. Nothing evil about it.
