Jehovah's Witnesses have Jesus. Islam has Jesus. Every single Christian denomination has Jesus. I think it has to be more specific than that :p

Admiringly saying that, they have the Father as well.

1 John 2:23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

So Muslims saying Jesus is simply just a prophet, denying the virgin birth/being sinless/ dying on the Cross/ being God / various others....
Jehovah's Witnesses saying Jesus is not God/ claiming Jesus is Michael the archangel/ various others.

Do you think they have the TRUE Jesus?

2 Corinthians 11
1 Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly—and indeed you do bear with me.
2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ
4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!

I would say the number one ingredient would be Jesus, second the Holy Spirit, and third the will to repent whenever the church screws up as a whole, whether some error in their doctrine or something else.

How do you know for sure that a church has Jesus? Sometimes I think churches might shut Jesus out of their churches, at least to a certain degree. They pray their obligatory prayers and sing their obligatory hymns, but I’m not sure they do that much more for him than that.

The evidence would be their fruits. See if their message and actions are christocentric(by that i mean christ centered) or not. Also if they have love, which from experience many churches don't have, yet it is one of the most essential parts of being a christian.

1 Corinthians 2
6 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,
8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written:
“ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.
16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?”But we have the mind of Christ.

John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

Can you explain this? I totally agree, but it is not very touchable.

The most strange and (for me) frustrating is that we can in theory discribe the perfect church, but when we look all around, we can't find one.

I don’t think you’ll find a perfect church in this world.

How about “practical” things such as the type of worship service you have, the Sunday school program, the degree to which strangers are welcomed into the church, the integrity and humility of the church members, especially the leaders, social outreach, and the like?

A good church should be based around whole families from infants to grandparents, they all should be present.

One - The Church must be united in Christ, and this includes being one visible institution.

Holy - It is because Christ is holy that the Church, being His body are also holy. It is through the Church that God's grace is administered.

Catholic - Contains the fullness of the means of salvation.

Apostolic - has a visible succession from the Apostles and carries their same teaching authority which was given to them by Christ.
