Yup. It's normal and it's continual. This is why we must keep our eyes on Jesus and He will cover us. Ephesians 6 also talks about putting on the full armor of God. :)

Absolutely...I know it seems kind of strange, because when we give our lives to the Lord, so many think everything will be perfect. At times I have to remind myself of what Peter wrote: Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy I Pet 4:12-13. The devil will always throw things at us to try to get us to lose focus on Christ and doubt Him, but the Lord is there waiting for us...to comfort and encourage, so just hold on and keep growing your relationship with Christ!

God is always shaping, molding and transforming us. That means that he will use things to change us that we would least like. Job was changed by his encounter with the devil and God.

Each day, we do need to put on the armour of God in Eph. 6. But then we should not be surprised when we need to use it. In fact, Satan is indeed a roaring lion, seeking whom he will devour.

We don't need to be that person. We can hold the Word of God close to our hearts. We need to seek the will of God each day, and walk with Jesus. And to persevere to the end.

"But the one who endures to the end will be saved." Matt 24:13.

Maybe we need to support you in prayer at this time? Just let us know!

The good news is 'this is why the attack occurs.' May I say for myself
I don't use the term 'luck'. For with God luck doesn't have a place for
it. No such thing as bad or good luck. Be blessed. The better term
could be misfortune, ( whatever the attack). Will be in prayer for you as
you walk through this trial. Please know you have brother and sisters who
will pray for you and will await your news of deliverance.

Yep, truth, are you going to stand firm as Job did in job and not curse God. Sounds to me you are trusted to not deny God from God as God said Job will not curse God, and Job did not. He who has suffered

1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

We say in our church that if you're not being tested and not struggling with something, you're probably doing something wrong and need to press into God more.

Satan only attacks us at two times:

  • [*=1]When we're in the will of God
[*=1]When we're out of the will of God

With that in mind, consider this:
Colossians 2:13-15
13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. 15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.

The enemy has no real weapons against you; he only has deception. Stand on who you are in Christ; learn who you are in Christ and the Enemy will become more of an annoyance than a threat.

Once you are secure in your identity in Christ, His gifts of Grace, Forgiveness, Righteousness, New Life, and His complete and utter love for you, it is much easier to stand in the face of the Enemy's schemes.

Grace and peace to you,

A verse that speaks to this idea, only from God's perspective:

"So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth." -Revelation 3:16

If you're serving Him and loving Him with everything, He's with you.
If you're not, He wants you.
If you neutral and in between and just don't care, you're in trouble.

Here's a good article that explores the lukewarm issue, and comes to it from the perspective of our identity in Christ:

When Leprosy makes you clean! | His Grace Is Enough

An excerpt:

Lukewarmness is about mixing stuff

When Jesus says he would prefer that we are hot or cold rather than lukewarm, most people automatically think of a thermometer: cold and hot temperatures are good, but being stuck in the middle is bad. As we have seen this is a poor metaphor because there is no middle ground with God. But lukewarmness can also refer to mixing things. When you mix cold with hot you get lukewarm.

Now what are two good things in the Bible that, if you mix them together, you end up with something bad? Here’s a hint – what were the Galatians mixing together? Answer: law and grace.

It's a good, challenging read!

It was normal for Job.
It was normal for Abraham.
It was normal for Noah.
It was normal for David.

Through all these men of God went through, one thing they all did, they continued to trust in God's plan for their lives, through much heartache, too, that they experienced, persevered.

This brings me to James 1 , which speaks of the specific 'testing of your faith,' and, not mentioning Satan's attack on your faith, so, sometimes, you MIGHT think that Satan is attacking you for something when it IS really God who is getting you to tackle a problem or situation that is there to build up your life with blessings.

It's not easy getting blessings. Ask Abraham. His obedience to God in taking his only son up the mountain to sacrifice him for God explains that, but, what was the result was amazing among blessings, Abraham became 'the father of many nations.'

That's one example. Read Hebrews 11 and 1 Peter 2 to understand how 'faith' works in the lives of men more and how God uses extraordinary means to reach us--even a donkey ! --when we are going our own way, or, if, we are doing a world of good things, God can show us that what we think is GOOD is really bad.

The Lord leads. Follow Him. "...you follow Me."

Do NOT grow weary in doing good. But, make CERTAIN that 'good' is for the right reasons, or, hmmm, 'reason.' Because Romans 3 tells us that 'none are good,' which is speaking of we humans. Jeremiah says the same thing, the heart of man is 'evil,' it's no good. So, make certain that your good is being done for Him, for His reasons, for He is the reason that we have LIFE! with Him after we die, right. :)

How do we know our good is being done for Him, green?

God gets the glory of what we do, humbly in His sight meant, and, not meant for the sight of others :)

James 1
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[SUP]a[/SUP] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

What about being content in the midst of any all adversity? Counting all things good or bad as a joy, peace and righteousness only found in trusting Father through all things good or bad that happen believing God through Christ that we are made whole again?
