It was normal for Job.
It was normal for Abraham.
It was normal for Noah.
It was normal for David.
Through all these men of God went through, one thing they all did, they continued to trust in God's plan for their lives, through much heartache, too, that they experienced, persevered.
This brings me to James 1 , which speaks of the specific 'testing of your faith,' and, not mentioning Satan's attack on your faith, so, sometimes, you MIGHT think that Satan is attacking you for something when it IS really God who is getting you to tackle a problem or situation that is there to build up your life with blessings.
It's not easy getting blessings. Ask Abraham. His obedience to God in taking his only son up the mountain to sacrifice him for God explains that, but, what was the result was amazing among blessings, Abraham became 'the father of many nations.'
That's one example. Read Hebrews 11 and 1 Peter 2 to understand how 'faith' works in the lives of men more and how God uses extraordinary means to reach us--even a donkey ! --when we are going our own way, or, if, we are doing a world of good things, God can show us that what we think is GOOD is really bad.
The Lord leads. Follow Him. "...you follow Me."
Do NOT grow weary in doing good. But, make CERTAIN that 'good' is for the right reasons, or, hmmm, 'reason.' Because Romans 3 tells us that 'none are good,' which is speaking of we humans. Jeremiah says the same thing, the heart of man is 'evil,' it's no good. So, make certain that your good is being done for Him, for His reasons, for He is the reason that we have LIFE! with Him after we die, right.
How do we know our good is being done for Him, green?
God gets the glory of what we do, humbly in His sight meant, and, not meant for the sight of others
James 1
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[SUP]a[/SUP] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
5If any of you lacks wisdom,
you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
6But when you ask,
you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
7That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
8Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
