Jesus warns clearly that after the Abomination of Desolation is seen standing in the "Holy Place" that those in Judea are to flee (Mat 24:15). The verses following indicate that there will be no time and to flee immediately!!

Then Jesus tells us in Mat 24:21 that there will be great tribulation (Temptation of Satan) like the world has never seen. Then Christ warns in Mat 24:23-26 emphatically and in several different ways "NOT TO GO FORTH" and "NOT TO BELIEVE" it if someone says that Christ is there. Why should we not go forth? What harm is there in going forth and what exactly does it mean to "go forth or go out?" I will explain...

The Abomination is seen, those in Israel flee then the temptation of Antichrist happens. These events occur in rapid succession. The Abomination is seen and those in Judea are to "Get out of Dodge" immediately then the Great Tribulation occurs which we learn from Rev 3:10 is the temptation or test of Satan as Antichrist that "tests the whole world."

Again, what exactly is the test? It sure seems like it is Satan as antichrist claiming to be Christ. It appears from Rev 12 that first Satan attempts to fool Israel but as we know from Zech 13:8-9, 2/3 of Israel is fooled and will be killed but 1/3 of Israel escapes the "flood of Satanic lies." Satan is enraged that 1/3 of Israel escaped so he goes to make war with the rest of the saints, Rev 12:17.

We learn in Rev 13:7 that Satan was able to make war and overcome the saints. Obviously God must allow this as we learn from Job that Satan cannot harm a Christian without God's permission. So why would God allow it? Could it be that a bunch of Christians went forth after the false christ thinking it was Christ? What would cause good Christians to do that? I can think of only one answer - they thought the real Christ had come to rapture them away.

But it wasn't the real Christ, it was the Antichrist claiming to be Christ and using his lie that most of the Christian world believed - The Rapture. I can think of nothing else that would get Christians to "go out" all over the world then for the "Rapture." This theory makes perfect sense, but is it Biblical???

Isaiah 65:

12 Therefore I will number you for the sword, And you shall all bow down to the slaughter; Because, when I called, you did not answer; When I spoke, you did not hear, But did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight."

13 Therefore thus says the Lord God: "Behold, My servants shall eat, But you shall be hungry; Behold, My servants shall drink, But you shall be thirsty; Behold, My servants shall rejoice, But you shall be ashamed;

14 Behold, My servants shall sing for joy of heart, But you shall cry for sorrow of heart, And wail for grief of spirit.

15 You shall leave your name as a curse to My chosen; For the Lord God will slay you, And call His servants by another name;

Bow down to the slaughter??? What is this? What does Satan want to get people to do, especially Christians if he can? Worship him!! Would being deceived by antichrist and bowing down before him based on the promise of a rapture be considered by God as "doing evil before His eyes?"

Now pay close attention to verse 13, clearly there are two groups of Christians being discussed here and the timing is just before the millennial reign which we see introduced right after the above passages. Note the four distinctions made between the two groups. One group eats, drinks, rejoices and sings for joy while the other group is hungry, thirsty, ashamed and crying.

Now turn to Rev 7 and I will prove who the Great Multitude is:

14 ..."These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.

16 They shall
neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore;
the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;

17 for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

Notice the same 4 descriptions Isaiah gives matches the same 4 descriptions John gives. There is no doubt that a massive group of Christians who came out of the Tribulation have been deceived. That is why Jesus and Paul teach the correct order of Jesus' return and why dire warnings are giving about going forth for the false one.

Can anyone else see this or is it just me????

In this chapter, the apostle John first refers to the sealing of 144,000 slaves of God “out of every tribe of the sons of Israel.” (Re 7:2-8) After this, he saw in a vision “a great crowd” out of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues. These ascribe their salvation to God and to the Lamb as they stand before God’s throne. They have come out of “the great tribulation,” they serve God in his temple, and he spreads his tent over them. All their hunger and thirst are to be ended and every tear is to be wiped from their eyes as his Son guides them to the waters of life.—Revelation7:9-17.

Various views have been advanced as to the significance and identification of this “great crowd.” Many commentators view the 144,000 sealed ones, first mentioned, as members of “spiritual Israel” and believe that they symbolize the Christian congregation while on earth. They feel that the “great crowd” represents that same Christian congregation in heaven, after the individuals have died in faith and have been resurrected. Others hold that the 144,000 are literally from “every tribe of the sons of Israel” (Revelation7:4), that is, fleshly Jews who become Christians, and they consider the “great crowd” to represent all the Gentile Christians. A consideration of Revelation chapter 7 and other related texts, however, reveals serious inconsistencies in these views, at the same time pointing to a different conclusion.

The key to the identification of the “great crowd” is found within the description of them in Revelation chapter 7 and in obviously parallel passages. Revelation 7:15-17 speaks of God as ‘spreading his tent over them,’ of their being guided to “fountains of waters of life,” and of God’s wiping “every tear from their eyes.” At Revelation 21:2-4 we find parallel expressions: ‘God’s tent being with mankind,’ his ‘wiping every tear from their eyes,’ and ‘death being no more.’ The vision there presented is concerning persons not in heaven, from where the ‘New Jerusalem comes down,’ but on earth, among mankind.

This poses the question: If the “great crowd” are persons who gain salvation and remain on earth, how could they be said to be ‘standing before God’s throne and before the Lamb’? (Revelation 7:9) The position of ‘standing’ is sometimes used in the Bible to indicate the holding of a favored or approved position in the eyes of the one in whose presence the individual or group stands. (Psalms 1:5; 5:5; Proverbs 22:29; Luke 1:19) In fact, in the previous chapter of Revelation, “the kings of the earth and the top-ranking ones and the military commanders and the rich and the strong ones and every slave and every free person” are depicted as seeking to hide themselves “from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” (Revelation 6:15-17; compare Luke 21:36.) It thus appears that the “great crowd” is formed of those persons who have been preserved during that time of wrath and who have been able to “stand” as approved by God and the Lamb.

The Lamb’s guiding them to “fountains of waters of life” finds a parallel at Revelation 22:17, which says: “The spirit and the bride keep on saying: ‘Come!’ And let anyone hearing say: ‘Come!’ and let anyone thirsting come; let anyone that wishes take life’s water free.” The “bride” is clearly identified in the Scriptures as the anointed Christian congregation, espoused to the heavenly Bridegroom, Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 5:25-27; 2Corinthians 11:2; Revelation 19:7-9; 21:9-11) The invitation to “take life’s water free” presented by the heavenly “bride” class is obviously open to an unlimited number of persons, “anyone that wishes.” Likewise unnumbered are the “great crowd,” the vision at Revelation 7:9 thereby harmonizing with that at Revelation 22:17.

The sum of the evidence, therefore, points to the “great crowd” as representing all those persons who are not of the heavenly “bride” class, or 144,000 sealed ones, but who stand approved at the time of the “great tribulation” and are preserved alive on earth.

There are no two classes of brethren in Christ, the “heavenly 'bride' class” and the earthly concubine class. You’re basing this all on the word “standing”.

“…sometimes used in the Bible to indicate the holding of a favored or approved position.”

So because the word “stand” can be used to stand before just about anything therefore the great multitude are the lower earthly concubine class of God's children not really in heaven standing “before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple.”

So now we not only have class divisions among Christ’s brethren according to ethnicity now we have class divisions among Christ’s brethren according to the situation in which they were saved. These teachings of class divisions among Christ's brethren come from the worldly mind and not from the Mind of Christ who would divide His brethren into two classes: The “heavenly 'bride class” and the earthly concubine class.

And there is no solid evidence in the scripture that says "the church is the bride of Christ" and that Christ is going to marry His brethren… but that’s a different topic for a different discussion thread.

The Great Multitude are Christians who are slaughtered for being deceived by the Antichrist and worshiping him thinking he was the real Christ. There should be very little doubt about this. Jesus and Paul both vehemently warn against falling for Satan's deceptions.

Mat 24:

23 Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!' do not believe it.

24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

25 See, I have told you beforehand.

26 Therefore if they say to you, 'Look, He is in the desert!' do not go out; or 'Look, He is in the inner rooms!' do not believe it.

2 Thes 2:

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition...

Isaiah 65 makes clear what happens to those who do what God does not delight in. Can there be any doubt that God will not delight in those who fall down and worship the False Christ, even if they are deceived into thinking he is the real Christ? They will not lose their salvation but they will be slaughtered and they will remain in heaven through the millennium.

Matthew 24:21-22 along with Revelation 7:14 help us to appreciate who they are and what their condition is.

The account at Matthew 24 shows that the great tribulation would have survivors. The days of this tribulation are cut short because of the-elect's (or God's Chosen) to insure their survival.

That is why Revelation states they come out of the great tribulation, or survive, which shows that they are still on earth.

Matthew 24:21-22 (NKJV) - For then there will be great tribulation, such as not been since the beginning of the world until this, no, nor ever shall be. - And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.

Revelation 7:14 (NKJV) - And said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb.

There’s nothing in the scriptures in Revelation that say the great multitude are those who were deceived by the antichrist, worshipped the antichrist and were all slaughtered. You’re simply piecing together scripture from all over the place to support something you were taught to believe. You're saying that this great multitude of God's elect will get deceived by the beasts, worship the beasts and its image, wear its mark, then repent, and then get slaughtered.

It's amazing how silly these teachings sound when they get picked apart.

Those scriptures you provide in Matt 24 warn about deception and show that many will be deceived but the great multitude are not deceived. They came out of great tribulation because like the 144,000 in Rev. 14, they were redeemed from the earth because they are the same group. If you are not redeemed from the earth you do not come out of tribulation, the two go hand in hand.

There is only one class of God’s elect and it will be for that one class that those days will be shortened. You are either deceived and you worship the beasts and its image or you are God’s elect. This teaching that there are two distinct classes of God’s elect, two distinct classes of God’s children, two distinct classes of Christ’s brethren is purely a manmade Christian teaching to put one ethnic group above all others… typical bigoted teachings that come from the mind of evil men. It’s these kinds of teachings that appeal to the basest of mankind…. just another reason why many unbelievers with an ounce of decency are appalled by the Christian religious system and they would be better off at judgement if they would stay clear of it and seek God on their own.

The multitudes of chapter 7 are those that have their robes washed white, by the Blood of the Lamb(life of Jesus). So for some one to say it is those deceived by the anti-christ, is complete nonsense. in my reading and studying i see the multitudes as the called, and the 144,000 as the chosen.

Why do you think they needed to wash their robes in the blood of the lamb?? Because their last act on earth was worshiping Antichrist. You think the antichrist doesn't deceive Christians? Go back and read my post #81.

You've picked nothing apart friend. Did I say that the GM took the mark of the beast? No I did not. The Antichrist stages a rapture and the GM goes for it thinking it was the real Christ who came not obeying or believing Jesus and Paul when they were given the correct order and warned "Not to go out."

Satan kills 1/3 of the earth at the 6th trumpet. Just who do you suppose he's killing, random people? Satan has no motive to kill unbelievers but to rule the world, he needs to get rid of Christians. 33.32% of the world claims to be Christian. This should be a sign to you.

The Antichrist stages a rapture
Please quote the book chapter and verse that supports this Scripturally bankrupt statement. For your convenience the only 4 verses in Scripture that use the term antichrist or antichrists are quoted below. As we can all see none of them support the Scripturally bankrupt guess work theology that says "satan stages a rapture"!
1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jn 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
2Jn 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Antichrist and False Christ are the same thing!!! Antichrist means "In place of Christ." Jesus uses the term False Christ. It would be like saying "Bosox" or "Red Sox" to use a baseball analogy, both refer to the Boston Red Sox.

23 Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!' do not believe it.

24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Paul calls him, "the Man of Sin" the "Son of Perdition." Call him whatever you like but there is no doubt that it will be Satan. Have you learned nothing from the temptation of Satan in the Garden or Satan's Temptation of Christ? Do you not realize that Satan wants to be God and worshiped as God? Jesus tells us this will be the Greatest Tribulation (or temptation of Satan) the world has ever seen. Just who do you think is coming?

As for the scriptural basis, I have provided several to support this theory. Go back and read post #81. Read the description of the Great Multitude. Read the account of the 6th Trumpet. Read Rev 2:20-23.

Most importantly, read Jesus' own warnings in the Olivet Discourse.

Now read Pauls' warning:

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

What happens when a warning from God is disobeyed? You need to be able to discern what is happening here. What would the Antichrist need to do to get a Christian to "go out?" Why do you think the antichrist would want a Christian to come out? Have you thought about these things??? Why the warning "Not to go out?" What happens to a Christian that "Goes out?"

Would any real Christian go out if someone says, "Hey brother Christian, the antichrist is here and would like you to come out and worship him?" But if you have a Christian who believes in a non-Biblical, spiritually and scripturally bankrupt idea called a Pre-Trib Rapture and someone says to him, "Hey brother Christian, Christ is here out in the desert and if you want to be Raptured off to heaven, go out and see him."

Something like this is going to happen. 1/3 of the world is going to be slain. We see this from the 6th trumpet and we see God allowing it to happen in Isaiah 65. The group in Isaiah were HUNGRY, THIRSTY, ASHAMED and CRYING. What words were used to describe the Great Multitude? They were HUNGRY, THIRSTY, THE SUN DID NOT STRIKE THEM (in other Words, the Son did not cause them shame anymore) and they were CRYING. The Isaiah 65 passage is right before the millennium, thus from the Tribulation. The Great Multitude were from the Tribulation. You can add, can't you????

You used the word antichrist and there is no such word used in Revelation. So by applying antichrist to the great multitude and saying the great multitude worship the antichrist is purely your own invention and there is nothing in revelation including the word antichrist that supports that invention.

Everyone who is deceived in Revelation is deceived by the beasts and the false prophet and not by any antichrist. And everyone who is deceived and worships the beast wears its mark. So if the great multitude is going to be deceived and worship anything, as you say, it wont be the antichrist but it would be the same identities that are deceiving everyone else in revelation: ...the beast and the false prophet. And if the great multitude are deceived by the beast and the false prophet then they too will wear its mark.

But what you are saying about the great multitude getting suckered in by a staged rapture and worshiping the antichrist then getting slaughtered because Satan sees millions of Christians as a bigger killing motive than everyone else is your own invention.

Now this may come as a suprise to many but the great multitude, who are the 144,000, are not Christians because God does not refer to them as such and there will be just as many deceived Christians as nonchristians because labels, which are physical and mentally visual imagery, are meaningless.

As I explained in my last post so clearly that a 3rd grader could understand, there is an antichrist (aka False Christ).

Anyone who does this is an antichrist:

...and that man of sin be revealed , the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God...

If you want to call him Beast #2 or Second Beast or Beast from the Earth, you go right ahead, I will know who you are discussing. Similarly, If I use the word, Antichrist, you will know who I am discussing.

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

Two horns like Jesus speaking like Satan demanding that he be worshiped as Christ is an antichrist!!! Therefore I will call Beast #2 what it is, "THE ANTICHRIST" and I will call Beast #1 (from the Sea) what it is, THE FALSE PROPHET.

20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

"A rose by any other name is still a rose." When John uses the word, "Lamb" to describe Jesus, you have no problem understanding that he means Jesus. So why are you having such a problem with John describing antichrist but calling him a Beast? I'm going to keep calling Beast #2 of Revelation that Christ calls a False Christ and Paul calls the Man of Sin/Son of Perdition the Antichrist, Daniel calls him the Abomination of Desolation. You go ahead and call it what you want.

Anyone who is deceived by someone claiming to be Christ, showing wonders and demanding to be worshiped is being deceived by an antichrist. I looked up the definition for you:

An·ti·christ

[an-ti-krahyst] Show IPA
noun Theology . 1. a particular personage or power, variously identified or explained, who is conceived of as appearing in the world as the principal antagonist of Christ.

2. ( sometimes lowercase ) an opponent of Christ; a person or power antagonistic to Christ.

3. ( often lowercase ) a disbeliever in Christ.

4. ( often lowercase ) a false Christ.

If you think Beast #2 is not an opponent of Christ, you better rethink your position.

As for the Great Multitude, I classified by view as a theory along with the scriptures I used to come up with that theory. Now I need to choose my words delicately. Your view that the Great Multitude are the 144,000 is completely unfounded, misguided and lacks understanding. The Great Multitude certainly are NOT the 144K. They are compared and contrasted in Isaiah 65 and Rev 7. Non Christians will NEVER be seen in heaven, nor will they be "standing before the throne serving God day and night in His temple." Your claim that just as many nonchristians will be deceived as Christians is also "wrong" because less than 1/3 of the world is Christian so the math doesn't work.

Quit relying on man’s definition to justify changing the Scriptral definition of antichrist.
1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
1Jn 2:22
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jn 4:3
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
2Jn 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

As we can all see from the only 4 verses in Scripture that uses the terms antichrist or antichrists an antichrist is the spirit that inhabits those who deny Christ/God making those individuals antichrists. Nothing in those verses say they are false Christs or instead of Christ or the man of sin. False christs, antichrists and the man of sin are different entities that is why they are labeled differently.

If you want to find the man of sin look in the true temple of God (Eph2:19-21),not some man made building the Jews may or not build (Act7:48 and Act17:24), After all even if they build a building and falsely call it the temple of God it would have been desolate before construction began. Christ declared the Jews temple desolate 40 years before it was destroyed, why would a new one be any less desolate?

As for as the rest of your post goes no sense discussing gueswork theology built onthe false premise that antichrist is some ficticous end time boogeyman. Open your eyes man we are surrounded by antichrists in today’s world, Satans ploy is working well it has people looking over their shoulder for a ficticous boogeyman instead of fcusing on the billions of antichrists that surround us.

You can read an excellent article explaining the man ofsin HERE

You've picked nothing apart friend. Did I say that the GM took the mark of the beast? No I did not. The Antichrist stages a rapture and the GM goes for it thinking it was the real Christ who came not obeying or believing Jesus and Paul when they were given the correct order and warned "Not to go out."

Satan kills 1/3 of the earth at the 6th trumpet. Just who do you suppose he's killing, random people? Satan has no motive to kill unbelievers but to rule the world, he needs to get rid of Christians. 33.32% of the world claims to be Christian. This should be a sign to you.
Where in the Bible doe sit say the beast stages a false rapture?

As I explained in my last post so clearly that a 3rd grader could understand, there is an antichrist (aka False Christ).
Inferring that people have less intelligence than 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] graders not only further reveals the weakness of your position but it also puts on display the weakness in your character. God teaches His children to know them by their fruits and saying people have less intelligence than a 3rd grader because they politely disagree with you is bad fruit. All the more reason needed to completely dismiss your doctrines.

However I will recap the discussion:

  • You stated that the great multitude will be deceived and will worship the antichrist.
  • I respond by saying that means they will worship the beast and the false prophet which means they will wear its mark.
  • You respond by saying you did not say that the great multitude will wear the mark.
  • I respond by saying there is no word antichrist in revelation so I can only assume that the great multitude who worship the “antichrist” that you mention are in actuality worshipping the beast and the false prophet and if they do that then they are wearing the mark.

Now whether you want to call your end time illusionist antichrist, false prophet, beasts #1, #2 or Beelzebub… all those who are deceived, Christians or non-Christians, wear the mark. One cannot be deceived and worship any opposition to Christ without wearing the mark. So when you infer that the great multitude don't wear the mark but they worship the antichrist it only shows your lack of understanding. Now I don't think you're less intelligent than a 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] grader because of your lack of understanding in this matter.

Your claim that just as many nonchristians will be deceived as Christians is also "wrong" because less than 1/3 of the world is Christian so the math doesn't work.
Of course there are not billions of Christians. I suppose I should have been more concise but when I say just as many Christians will be deceived as non-Christian I really mean as a percentage.

The Great Multitude certainly are NOT the 144K. They are compared and contrasted in Isaiah 65 and Rev 7. Non Christians will NEVER be seen in heaven, nor will they be "standing before the throne serving God day and night in His temple."
The great multitude who are the 144k are not Christians…. God does not call them Christians nor to they call themselves Christians. The term “Christian” was first used at Antioch and it was invented by the heathen and used as a reproach. God does not label His children by a name invented by heathens and neither do His children.

Some people have been known to mock things they don't understand. I'll leave it at that.
