Re: Is it possible it possible for Satan to make you not trust the people closest to
Pastor Keith, I agree with you 100 %., Satan decieves us any way he can and sometimes to just sit back and let us do all the work by allowing us to let our minds and mouths run free in pretending that we as christians have it all together and just because we think have God within us that nothing can harm us is a false truth unless we stand on His promise. We are all tempted. Even Jesus. But giving in to temptation is the sin.
Satan will use what ever course necessary to gain his hold on us if he can as he tried on Jesus too.
Jesus was Gods son, but that didnt stop Satan from trying non the less. So even us as His adopted sons and daughters of the Father, be under any less scrutiny? I think not.
It is said that Jesus has done and was under the same kinds of things we have gone through to be our example that we too can bear through it all as long as we first surrender to Him and then all things will be possible through Christ who strengthens me.
Many want to take only the second part of that verse and forget the first. We cant stand and have all the strength in Christ to stand if we dont first surrender to Him, for that is the key.
Surrender means to submit to Him our troubles, our thought and our weaknesses, basically our whole beings. What kind of thoughts does Satan put in our minds that we need to surrender to Christ first before we can be strengthend? We cant do it alone and ignoring the truth will not help us in the least.
For where the mind goes, the man follows... and then it becomes sin. It is all about choice. We need to stop the sin before it becomes action, and that means we need to stop it in the mind first. Rid ourselves of every unpure thought and every unlcean thinking for our words have consiquences both good and bad.
Didnt the bible say in John 1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God Himself." Isaiah 9:6 Ref
The truth shall set us free. But we need to open our eyes to see it.
