According to the Bible, the answer is no they, are dead loved ones cannot come back to help nor harm us. As a matter of fact no dead person can communicate with the living at all.

Only Jesus, your eldest brother, who is supposed to be 'in you' and 'with you'

We, in our times, have a challenge to find the Strait Gate, that Jesus talked about,
and use it into the good life.
Isaiah the Prophet, predicted that 'gate' will be smitten and so it is for us.

Private people are finding it and new life and happiness.
