Zone what is your view on Ezekiel's temple?
When you think a bible verse is talking about you or your righteousness, keep this verse in mind.
Psalm 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

well dear, considering you no longer have a temple nor a priesthood, i wonder how your sins are atoned for?

not by swinging chickens or hoping for the best.

did God change His mind? prayer and good works are acceptable now?

i don't think so...unless you are in Christ - Jesus is His Name.

    do you know Him?

"A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...."

    .....

    Zechariah 14
16Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. 17If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, they will have no rain. 18If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The Lordb will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. 19This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.

    Nehemiah 8
13On the second day of the month, the heads of all the families, along with the priests and the Levites, gathered around Ezra the teacher to give attention to the words of the Law. 14They found written in the Law, which the Lord had commanded through Moses, that the Israelites were to live in temporary shelters during the festival of the seventh month 15and that they should proclaim this word and spread it throughout their towns and in Jerusalem: “Go out into the hill country and bring back branches from olive and wild olive trees, and from myrtles, palms and shade trees, to make temporary shelters”—as it is written.b

16So the people went out and brought back branches and built themselves temporary shelters on their own roofs, in their courtyards, in the courts of the house of God and in the square by the Water Gate and the one by the Gate of Ephraim. 17The whole company that had returned from exile built temporary shelters and lived in them. From the days of Joshua son of Nun until that day, the Israelites had not celebrated it like this. And their joy was very great.

18Day after day, from the first day to the last, Ezra read from the Book of the Law of God. They celebrated the festival for seven days, and on the eighth day, in accordance with the regulation, there was an assembly.

    Ezra 7

    Ezra Comes to Jerusalem
    King Artaxerxes’ Letter to Ezra

21Now I, King Artaxerxes, decree that all the treasurers of Trans-Euphrates are to provide with diligence whatever Ezra the priest, the teacher of the Law of the God of heaven, may ask of you— 22up to a hundred talentsa of silver, a hundred corsb of wheat, a hundred bathsc of wine, a hundred bathsd of olive oil, and salt without limit. 23Whatever the God of heaven has prescribed, let it be done with diligence for the temple of the God of heaven. Why should his wrath fall on the realm of the king and of his sons? 24You are also to know that you have no authority to impose taxes, tribute or duty on any of the priests, Levites, musicians, gatekeepers, temple servants or other workers at this house of God.

25And you, Ezra, in accordance with the wisdom of your God, which you possess, appoint magistrates and judges to administer justice to all the people of Trans-Euphrates—all who know the laws of your God. And you are to teach any who do not know them. 26Whoever does not obey the law of your God and the law of the king must surely be punished by death, banishment, confiscation of property, or imprisonment.

    future?

this thread is open to derailments of all kinds; fanciful ideas with no documentation, and endless reams of OT prophecies wrenched from context.

we could discuss Jesus Christ's suffering on the Cross if needed. not sure it's relevant, but if so, maybe we could see how He fits in.

    OKAY...LET THE GAMES BEGIN.
Matthew 9:13But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

This verse is saying that God's will is that we show mercy, instead of sacrificing our lives to be righteous and which make a person self-righteous, but not godly righteous; and so basically He wants us to love and understand one another as He has love and understand why we had fell.

    Selihah,

do you not believe Jesus is the Messiah because you are told He didn't fulfill the Messianic prophecies?
or is there some other reason?

    Nehemiah 4
7But when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites and the people of Ashdod heard that the repairs to Jerusalem’s walls had gone ahead and that the gaps were being closed, they were very angry. 8They all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and stir up trouble against it. 9But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat.

The hurried work of repairing and rebuilding Jerusalem’s walls and gates was completed in just 52 days (Nehemiah 6:15).

The following text is the first portion of the Nehemiah Memoir (1:1–7:4) from the New Revised Standard Version. In it, Nehemiah describes his efforts to rebuild the city, even in the face of hostile neighbors:

    Daniel 9:25
Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Tell me when the Lord Jesus was seated on the throne of David? Christ Jesus will rule and reign from David's throne in Jerusalem. Animal sacrifice will be instituted to be a reminder to all the people of what death is. There will be no death on the earth during Christ's reign. The people will forget and when satan is loosed from the pit many will follow him.

I agree with most of what you said except that there will be no death on earth during the Millenium. From many scriptures it is obvious there will be human beings on earth during this time and...

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Although, during the Millenium, this may be more like a graduation than a death.

If the devil is in the pit how can he influence men to sin? Sin induces death. Men will die at the end of the millennium but like Noah and others I think many will live a very long life during that period. The judgment will occur after the millennium at the Great White Throne judgment.

OKAY BUT WILL YOU BELIEVE IT?

    Acts 2
29“Fellow Israelites, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. 30But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. 31Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay. 32God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it. 33Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear

    - David died
    - But he was a prophet
    - he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.

    okay?
there's the promise right there. we all see it.

    - God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.

    then what?

    - But he was a prophet
    - Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah

    ? huh?
seeing what was to come? he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah.
and Peter said : God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.

    - - Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah.

does it say seeing what was to come he spoke of the 1,000 year kingdom?
    anything remotely like that?
    no.

    it says:

    - Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah

    then what?

    - God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it.
    - Exalted to the right hand of God
    - he has received from the Father
    - the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear

Jesus received His Throne (David's) when He was exalted to the right hand of God.

    when?

    - Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah
    - God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it.
    - Exalted to the right hand of God

34For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,

“ ‘The Lord said to my Lord:
    “Sit at my right hand
    35until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet.” ’

36“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”

    Hebrews 10
    Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All

1The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. 2Otherwise, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. 3But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins. 4It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

5Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:

“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
    but a body you prepared for me;
6with burnt offerings and sin offerings
    you were not pleased.

7Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll—
I have come to do your will, my God.’ ”

8First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. 9Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

    ...

like...diggs - are you saying animal sacrifices were offered in accordance with the Law?
and that the law was only a shadow of the good things that were coming—not the realities themselves?
that sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, can never make perfect those who draw near to worship?

    den what dey talkin 'bout

    1) animals slaughtered memorially cuz apparently we're too ignorant in the Millennium to recognize The Glorified Majesty Alpha & Omega Christ

    2) animals slaughtered as a reminder of death (don't ask)

    3) artificial hologramish spiritual sacrifices (little hi def turtle doves?)

    a-a-a-a-a-anyways.
    not knowing.

O Bible, why you so hard?

What's the point anyway? Animals don't have souls. Your just being cruel for the sake of it. Being cruel for god's enjoyment. Anyone who subscribes to this behaviour obviously has serious mental issues.

don't think cats were ever acceptable substitutes/illustrations of the coming Lamb of God - Christ...the only sacrifice God accepts.

well wrap your mind around the Son of God being sacrificed - for you.

    2 Corinthians 5:21
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

oh ya, you're a sinner alright.
but - there's a way to become the righteousness of God.

ask for directions. we have the map.
