There was a man who, while yet a child, was betrayed by those he loved the most, even to the extent of being the subject of attempted homocides by his siblings. This was but the beginning of the woes he experienced, yet nothing compared to what our Lord has done for us.
This man had it embedded in his way of life to distrust when anyone did anything good for him, and although he loves the Lord, this characteristic still prevails in his interaction with others. He only trusts God, and this is the important part of knowing Salvation. Now he gives trust as something to be received and acted appropriately upon, but once he senses even the beginning of betrayal, the betrayer can be as nice as pie, but this does not smooth things over. He loves all people because God loves all people, but extending trust is no longer an option
This is very sad, yet not harmful because he does not hate anyone, not even avowed enemies, if he has any, but he considers loaning others his trust as a sacred gift, to be cared for in the sight of God.
I do not know if this person is wrong, I see support for his actions throughout the Holy Scriptures. What do you think?
