Hear the voice of God

The sacred scriptures, and all its treasures of sacred truth, is the voice of God to man.
The voice of God to man.

Elevate it
give it the highest place
it is enobling
elevating
sanctifying (new word, I know, it means to obey it by God's divine power he puts in you to want to do right,. If you are WANTING to do what is right and are unable, then you have the spirit. ask for strength and you are able.

If you think you are already doing right in all things, then you are laodicea and need to be born again with a new heart that wants to do right

that is being born again
a heart that desires to do right if on ly you had the power

well,
ask for the power
and on each point you will be given the power to do every right.

The entrance of thy word giveth light
it giveth understanding to the simple

believe it
I am simple
I am not a theologian
I am weak
But God is strong
and he tells me
SEARCH THE SCRIPOTURE, simple me,
serach search search mr simpleton, and I will give you grace and power and truth
look up the words see what they really mean
the scriptures testify of mme

treat the Bible with respect
it is God talking to you
every sentance
dont let man come in and say THAT does not apply
this does not apply

God ALWAYS applies!
I pray God gives you strength to stand amid the storm that is now going to hit you

be faithful

whenever you start actually searching the Bible
every demon from the hellbound mob will come after you

But Jesus will be with you and you will find and know all truth
dont listen to me or any man
check out what you find with God.
and you are in the safety of his shelter

I dont believe people when they say God literally speaks to them. He speaks to us through his word.

No, i believe the old testament when the spirit of the lord came upon men. And of course when God became incarnate. I dont believe today that God is a voice in our head. He will talk to you through his word and through your prayers and with blessings and even in chastening. Not audibly today.

I believe the word of God , and experience it I live it I believe because it is the only way to live and not to believe is being an unbeliever and the gifittings are but a sign but they are evident in my life and to everyone that believes and are willing to receive

The verse does not imply a tongue no one knows, or a spiritual tongue. Its speaking in known foreign languages. Thats why the foreign gentiles believed and were saved, because they understood what peter was saying, each in their own tongue. Peter was speaking in one tongue, they each heard it in their own tongues. There were 17 languages listed. That was a miracle of God. It has nothing to do with babbling, weird pentacostals.

Up front was an older Hispanic woman crying at the alter and praying fervently. Then after a brief pause the voice said "Her son is in prison." Then after another short pause the voice said "I am going to help her son, because I love her". Then after another pause the voice said "I am going to help you because I love you". I walked two miles home, crying the entire way.

You might not believe me but - I was angry at God about something I don't even remember now what it was but I was walking to my car in a parking lot saying to God - I'm mad at you and I'm not going to talk to you. Another time my daughter's father asked me to type a resume up for him (long story short) he had basically abandoned us and I raised our daughter by myself with virtually no assistance financially or physically from him. I was angry with the request and my conversation to God in temper tantrum mode kind of went like this. Who does he think he is asking me to do this when he didn't step up to his responsibility? The nerve of him thinking he is entitled for me to help him out when he didn't help us out. So on and so forth for several minutes I ranted the unfairness of it all to God. I ended my rant with HE DOES NOT DESERVE IT!!! Silence for a moment and then Three Words came to me. NEITHER DO YOU.

When I realized that the way her father had treated me was the way I had treated God I broke down and cried. I didn't want to hurt God that way and I had. I had ignored God time and again when He just wanted me to come to Him and be saved. I had expected God to do things for me and I did not deserve them. God has always taught me with lessons in my life history and I can tell you that when He teaches me He gets the point across.

So yes, God has talked to me with His still small voice and He has made me a better person for it.

(not in a charismatic way). I knew some guys in the 80's who said they heard voices and my neighbor thinks the aliens are coming for him soon, about as close as I got to the voice of God audibly. God speaks to us in varied ways. Your bummed and you notice the still of the water as you walk past a local lake or body of water. The beauty of child birth (all three of my children had me in their presence when they came into this world, Thank God, screaming), the calm after the storm when you see the neighbors house on either side of you destroyed and yours is untouched,etc.
God also speaks through His Word, Pastors and other Christians and the like. He does speak to us in our souls. And we know it's Him. Audibly, He did with say Moses, but He does speak to us even today. My guess is that you are newer to the faith and haven't developed your "inner ears" yet. God often uses older Christians in that situation.
I have lost count on the number I have come to a conversation on "the late show" not knowing what they were talking about and the Spirit hit me hard with what they were talking about and told me what to say. Often times I get one of 3 reactions:
Silence (rare), astonishment (more often) or fighting anger (tied---though 99.99% of the time the come back and tell me they're sorry as God dealt with them on the very issue I raised. By that time I look at 'em blankly because I don't even remember the conversation).
My point is this: When I accepted Jesus as my Savior I didn't get the above and the other gifts I have from Him overnight.
