i've been thinking about, these descussions would be nice if they was more like a taste test. It gets kinda irritating seeing both sides claiming other side is wrong, including myself, wanting to make clear i'm not pointing fingers. It would be better for both sides to share what they believe, and instead of being so thick headed, lets try and sort it out. The taste test is for those are are searching, lets not try to make the other side taste bitter before they can even taste it. In Christ our Salvation name i ask.

You are correct. What should be going on in the forums is discussion of a peaceful nature, because we are called by God to edify one another. The problem is that there are certain people who don’t know what it means to edify – they think to argue is the way to discuss with a goal of edification. This goes against several scriptures.

First and foremost this first passage should convict those who argue and get nasty, even though they would like us to believe they are intelligent. It is their uncontrolled ego, NOT under subjection to the Holy Spirit, that that causes them to want us to believe the Holy Spirit lives in them. It should scare the daylights out of people if they think about it.

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Hebrews 12:14 (KJV)

Then there is they obvious disregard for God’s requirements of anyone professing to be one of His people:

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. Romans 14:19 (KJV)

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV)

In the event there are some who are unlearned, because we don’t use the word edify much in the USA any more, it means:
[h=2]ed·i·fy[/h] [ed-uh-fahy] Show IPA
verb (used with object), ed·i·fied, ed·i·fy·ing.
to instruct or benefit, especially morally or spiritually; uplift: religious paintings that edify the viewer.
Origin:
1300–50; Middle English edifien < Anglo-French, Old French edifier < Latin aedificāre to build, equivalentto aedi- (stem of aedes ) house, temple + -ficāre -fy

I don't agree. We are to try the Spirits to see if they are of God.

Please don't not believe a word I say/teach if its not backed by the Word of God. If I twist the scriptures, Whoo is me. It would be better if I were never born. Now any of us can make a mistake/error however when pointed out we should defend it of correct it.

We can talk about the things we agree on. Love, Family, Wife, Husband, Bible, Poor, Giving, Ect.

IMHO we are here to teach, learn, share, communicate, convert, a Christian can do that without getting mad.If someone attacts you PERSONALY I am sure the Mods. will take care of that.

There is a saying. Am I your enmey because I tell you the truth?

Another good saying is. Its not who's right that counts, its Whats right that counts. If all of us can remember that God will be happy!

And the teachings of Jesus bring a sword...I came not to bring peace....

The problems are found in the following...

1. Name calling or implied lies and or being a liar
2. From Adam and Eve to this very day (EVERYBODY IS RIGHT IN THEIR OWN EYES)
3. People are not willing to change and submit to the truth because if what they have believed is wrong then so and so is wrong such as my ole granddad, dad, mothers, our preacher, my little ole aunt etc.
4. As long as we re hampered by sin and these wicked fallen bodies with (OPINIONS) there will be arguments, division and different beliefs

In order to have peace you must first identify the ones who are the attackers and the ones who are the defenders. It’s very simple to have peace… the ones who are attacking just have to stop attacking and there will be peace.

The ones who are attacking are the ones who are spiritually terrorizing other believers saying they have to keep certain ordinances from the old covenant to be saved. That is an act of spiritual terrorism because they are saying to all believers that their faith in Christ is not adequate to keep them from the fires of hell.

Now I don’t see those who are being terrorized going around saying that believers need to stop observing ordinances from the old covenant to avoid the fires of hell.

But what I see going on here is the terrorists are complaining that there’s not enough peace around here, which is absurd coming from those who are persistently initiating all the terror. That’s like terrorist going around blowing things up and when the terrorized fight back and start to win the terrorists start to complain because there’s no peace while they are still in the process of carrying out acts of terror.

To me what this thread is saying is, “Please stop fighting back and be a little more peaceful while we continue to blow you up.”

There will be no peace here or anywhere else in this world as long as we have terrorists.

Thanks just-us-2, for posting scripture. Sure there is going to be disagreements , i'm not talking about that. i'm talking about people saying things like, if they had the holy Spirit they would know, they don't need to obey the Almighty, thats goofy. i don't think any one should be telling others they are wrong for the way they choose to serve the Almighty, let the Almighty do the separating of the weeds from the wheat. For people to be telling people about how wrong the other people are, instead of saying oh thats how you see it, i havn't seen it that way, this is what the Word has shown me. We don't need to worry about people being lost forever, Christ Jesus said NONE that the Father gives Him will be lost, when our Lord Christ Jesus, said that i think He meant what He said (NONE).

I just found another verse that I didn't remember reading before that touches upon the attitude of learning and edification and thought I would share it. It is Proverbs 16:21 A wise-hearted person is said to have discernment, and sweetness of speech adds to learning.

Then tell your colleagues not to go around like a pack of wolves terrorizing believers by repeatedly telling them that they will be “lost forever” (not saved) for not keeping the seventh day Sabbath.

I believe many who lash out at others for disagreeing with their interpretation is because they are insecure in their faith and any disagreement with their doctrines threatens them and so they condemn all who disagree with them.
Just a thought

Within this setting…. an online Internet discussion board… that is only partially true because a significant portion of those on all religious or political discussion boards on the Internet are not who they present themselves to be. Faith and loyalty to a religious sect or political party means nothing to them… only their assigned task at hand which is to sustain contention. That’s the reality on every religious and political Internet discussion board.
Some choose to always bear this reality in mind when engaging.

The tough part is that those Scriptures are speakng to the Church where a general accord has been established.
Here on CC, it's more of an open arena where there are ravenous wolves that come in and do their ravenous thing..
On the other hand, Don is right insofar as we need to be mindful of our conduct because many new or seeking ones are reading.

This is a BIBLE discussion forum
It should be assumed that those in this forum believe and follow the Bible
if you dont believe the Bible than you should post in another forum, like buddha or cathlic forum
here it is the Bible.

and if I say something against the Bible, please show me from the Bible where I am worng

If some want to all agree no matter if they are in error or not then you should go to a fantasy forum or alternate reality thread or something like that.

Most of us are not in the Bible and we realize that but we are all at different levels

so my advice is this

Stop arguing
You are probably wrong
your church is probably wrong, they all are in some way or another.
that is ok
we all are learning the truth

post the truth and let it be
everyone can read and study then.

and I thank everyone for their posts, it solidifies me in knowing my Bible is right.
If someone does not agree with the truth and disagrees, then post the texts that show the truth, everyone is Gods children, under various levels of deception of the enemy
Our goal here is to get as many people into reading and studying the bible as we can for on that you cannot be shaken.

The Bible is the truth
if yo dont like the truth then maybe going to a nother thread would be better for you.
Here it is the truth
and the truth will set you free.
