It is epidemic that Christians have the sin of neglect. We take many portions of the Bible as suggestions when they are really commands. For example: going the extra mile, interceeding and praying for all men, desiring to prophesy, studying to show ourselves approved. We consider these sorts of things, things to do if we feel like it. We read devotions about them and hear sermons but it rarely goes beyond intentions into regular practice. What if the Lord really requires these sort of things from us? He does. Like they say it is not the ten suggestions it is the ten commandments. We serve a Lord and God not a educated guesser.
