I have an interesting story from when I was a freshmen in college. I went and saw the first "Paranormal Activities" movie and when I came back to my dorm room later that night I was attacked by a demon. Long story short I saw and heard it scream (with my eyes open, and small light on in the room) multiple times and then the next day told one of my friends who was not a christian about it. He of course didn't believe me so later the next day at night I told him to come in my room and I would turn the light on that I had on the previous night and see if anything happened. Sure enough the demon came back and it scared the crap out of him. Later that night I thought the demon was coming back when I was laying down to go to sleep ( you can feel it, its like your body is scared but you don't know why) so I decided to go next door to my friend who saw the demon and sleep in his room bc I thought maybe the demon was haunting the room and not after me. Wrong! After about 10 min it came back and this time my friend was really scared. He asked me a bunch of questions like if it would possess me and I told him that since I'm a christian it can't but that it can scare me and oppress me (five senses see it, smell, feel...etc). Then he told me that he didn't want it to try and hurt him so he wanted to get saved. I then led him to christ. The peace in the room after that was unbelieveable, it was truly like being in the presence of God and I will never forget it. However, That night we slept with the light on and nothing else happened except i kept waking up feeling like something was grabbing at me but couldn't quite get me. Kind like a dog trying to tear you apart but the chain stops them right next to you. I didn't think much of it at the time but the last four years have been terrible. It seems like nothing goes right and I still occasionally get attacked by a demon. I may not have realized it then but I made a huge sacrifice for God. God didn't rescue me when I prayed to him the first night and for good reason since I led my friend to christ the next day however God still hasn't told the demon to stop attacking me. My question is first if anyone has experienced a demon attack? Secondly, how do you keep the faith when God threw you in the fire and still hasn't came to get you? Or is that the nitty gritty part of being a christian that preachers don't like to preach? For example, all the desciples lived terrible lives of torture and persecution for following God and is that what I should expect for embarassing the devil and using a demon attack to lead someone to christ.

People can come to two errors with the demonic - to believe that they don't exist, or to have an unhealthy interest in them

I know of two occasions where, I have been attacked with verbal blows from the demonic - it was my voice but it was accusatory in nature - sharp, quick, and brutal.

I just had this thought - satan attacks what is evil already in you, your proclivities towards sin - like an open piano, if you sing a G note into it, the G will vibrate. I have often contemplated the 5 love languages, and God, how He uses our love language: With me I receive love through words of affirmation - so when the attack came it was verbal - and I couldn't recall any of God's word.... just a thought I will have to think on!

Demons are spirits that come from the kingdom of darkness. They want to abide IN humans. Demons are NOT fallen angels...fallen angels are locked up.
FEAR is a demon....so I would venture to say that ALL have.

Thats true although I did not intend to get attacked by a demon I went and watched a scary movie in which the premise of the movie was a demon attacking a woman. I guess you could say I left the door open. But we do that everyday, we can't completely shun ourselves from all forms of evil bc they surround us. I think the biggest struggle I have is the fact that when I prayed to God to rescue me he didn't. Although I know that the next day I led my friend to christ the fact is God forsook me and that is the most painful thing. The demon attacking hurts and left scars but nothing like praying to God on your lowest point with something you have no power over attacking you and God just says no. My story is kind of like psalm 23 except God doesn't help you and leaves you in the shadow of death to fend for yourself.

That's a creative non-biblical understanding of that verse.

Basically with this thread I am trying to find someone who I can relate to who is a christian who has actually been attacked by a demon. Most christians will never experience anything paranormal and I expect that but I'm looking to see if anyone on here has so we can share stories and relate. Although, I do appreciate other people giving advice, I'm not looking to debate about demons or what they do, i'm just simply looking for someone who had it happen to them.

There's a member called Danschance. He's had some experiences. There are also others but I can't think of their names at the moment.

I had some experiences back when I was in high school and used to live in a Sureno ghetto, party hard, street fight, and take karate from a real 5th degree Zen Buddhist (the real deal not a mcdojo situation). My life was often in danger. In that life people actually hunt you. The Zen Buddhist occultism didn't help. Well, it's long gone. Haven't had any problems from that in probably 26 years but of course we are always harried by the enemy. But following Christ has its advantages. :).

It depend on your faith in Jesus Christ and the relationship you established with Him. If you feel that He abandon you, maybe you should evaluate your relationship with Him. I feel the demons around me but I tell them to get away from me in Jesus' name and His sacrifice on the cross. Poof!! they are gone. I can be in tremendous pain from a health injury while walking down the street, and I can call on Jesus' name to stop the pain ... and poof!!! the pain is gone. It is all about faith and the strength of the relationship with Him. Too many Christians wait until they are in deep trouble and then decide to call Jesus. It just doesn't work that way. I am constantly repenting my sins and asking Jesus to protect me from the evil that surrounds me.

I have in the past been attacked by a demon. You can read about that here: http://christianchat.com/blogs/dans...n-couple-months-after-becoming-christian.html
I wrote this just two months after it all started.

If the particular demon is your only issue then I have an easy fix for you but since you have had this problem for four years you might need more than what I post, based on what you said.

1) First you must be a Christian before you can go on or you might get into more trouble.

2) Repent for watching the movie "Paranormal Activity". Simply say (if you are a Christian) "Lord Jesus, I repent renounce watching the movie, "Paranormal Activity". I ask that You remove from any discipline that you have set upon me for my disobedience. I ask to be forgiven in Jesus name".

3) Then say "I sever all demonic links between me and the movie and all the actors in the movie in Jesus name. Lord Jesus I ask that You destroy those connections at the opposite end from me in Jesus name.

4) I command all demons that have lost their legal rights to leave me know and go where ever Jesus commands you to go in Jesus name.

If you are still having trouble, buy the book "Bondage Breaker" By Dr. Neil T Anderson and do the exercises in the back half of that book. If you still are having trouble then you will need to find a good deliverance ministry.

I can explain my own experience, and I take our Lord Jesus Christ as wittness that I am telling truth. It happened 13 years ago. An old man, from whom I rented a room had died (he was over 70 years old). I spend much time in prayer for his soul. And on 40th day together with his widow we have been on cemetery. Praying by common (for orthodoxes) stuff for non-cliriks. Same night (nexts morning) I was awoked by three deamons which made kind of attack - beating me. I have to point out that it was strange (non-common) reality. I saw my room (where my body was sleeping and the own body) and the same moment apart of my phisical body my mental one nature was fighting agains three deamonic creatures. I have to underline that they made kind of blows (which I felt like common kicks in natural fighting, and the mental body was apart from the phisical one), while I was trying to cross them and was calling Lord to help. Soon they dissapeared. And some time after I awake in full phisical form. (for certain period I was remaining in such condition - being unable to move by any part of my phisical body and seeing everything in the room). I lead to conclusion that our activities helped much to soul of my late landlord, also because his widow saw him in dream (several days after) and he said her he is ok.

anyone attacked by a demon?

of course, anyone who is angry, rude, obnoxious, flighty, campy silly are all demons they take over everyone all day long
that is what they do,

the fake church and hollywood has made you think demons are rare, super evil, anarling and hateful, this is not true

Bible says Satan the worst demon came to Jesus in the desert as a pleasant liar...

the worst demons are christians who claim to be christians but just ignore parts of the Bible, this influence will kill the most people,.

So as you go to work
you may meet a commedian on the bus, a silly frivolous boss, rock and roll blaring from a car, passive aggresive co-worker, or just frivolous children, whiny store clerkor any other demon

these wre the worst since they are not perceived as demons

you can tell a demon by this

1. They draw your attention away from Jesus and the bible
2. They interupt you every chance they get.
3. They take up your time.
4. they make you upset
(sure sign)
5. They want you to do something you wouldn't do otherwise.
when they call you on the phone you always feel bad afterwards

They are passed by objects, they give you things as gifts.
Demons are allowed to stick to any bad books or CD's and go with them

in the music industry they put each album under a spell and each cd goes out with a demon
look it up, insiders in industry know this
this is to increas sales.

Viral videos are demonic
satan gives his order to make a certain person a star or leader, and all contacts are influenced by bad spirits to adore them

Beatles when they came to US, devil had millions of demons make women scream cry and swoon
over four bums going "duh!"
everything is demonic

but Jesus knows this and offers protection

All jewelry has a demon.
bible says several examples of this look it u
p
Get rid of bad books, cd's movies and all jewelry and God will clen your house. Pray and he will do it.

Just pray Father in heaven remove the bad incfluences today and protect me
and they cant touch you

that simple.

Oh
Demons always say
LOOK AT ME!
christians say look at Jesus

anyone with any jewelry has a weak little demon on them, there are lots of them, just watch for them
the ones with piercings mean "Possess me" and cannot be reasoned with.

And they get reall angry when confronted, real real angry...
thats how you know

also "slernate lifestyles" are totally possessed and virtually all can no longer be converted.
Mention conversion and the demons go ape...
they would kill you.

Luke 10:19Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

You Have authority to cast that demon out of your life In Jesus name. Next time he shows his ugly face stand up in faith and do it!
Please don't try this, read the context of the passage...

Luk 10:1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

This was a particular event and 70 particular individuals were appointed and given this authority AT THAT TIME.

Luk 10:17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
Luk 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Luk 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luk 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

There are other notable events concerning demons...

Mat 17:15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
Mat 17:16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
Mat 17:17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
Mat 17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
Mat 17:19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
Mat 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Mat 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

The disciples were not close enough to the Father at this time to cast this demon out. Here is another example...

Act 19:13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
Act 19:14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
Act 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
Act 19:16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

With this said, how do we deal with the Devil and demons?

Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Another unfortunate translation in the KJV, the NKJV reads...

Mat 6:13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. - NKJV

We should be praying daily (three times a day - Psa 55:17) for protection and deliverance from evil spirits. This is reinforced by James...

Jas 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Jas 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

One parting shot at the subject...

Jud 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"

The great archangel Michael did not take authority he was not given, he simply said "The Lord rebuke you!" And that is sound advice for us.

I just hope God's not trying to tell you something about yourself, as when your friend was saved there was peace in the room. You do know that baptism, prayer, tithe, going to church, speaking in tongues, circumcision, communion and any other law or regulation are unnecessary for salvation, right? You also know that murder, adultery, (and in my opinion) blasphemy with one's words (not their heart) cannot take God's free gift of salvation away from you, right? The only thing that matters is faith in God to save you by his power and through his Son Jesus' sacrifice. Don't even focus on your faith to save you. Because if God had not atoned for us by Christ's blood, then your faith would mean nothing. So it is easy to see where the power comes to be saved.

It is all from God. Put your faith in his work through Christ Jesus. Then you are saved.

And if you have already done this, then whenever a demon attacks you rebuke it verbally and order it to leave in the name of Meshiach Yeshua (Christ Jesus). And may the power of God be with you.

(Again, I left in the middle this post and so my focus derailed and so I had todecide whether or not to regain focus. I attempted, but do not be shocked if it is all over the place and is confusing.)

A young adult group went to the Solomon Islands as part of a ministry assignment. After returning, each of them had wide eyes about encountering a dark spiritual presence during their time at said place. I have someone who has claimed being physically pushed back while praying. Each of these people are Christians and are sane. As for me, I have never seen or visualized a spiritual demon and recognized it as such. Still, I do believe I have encountered spirits (no, not just alcohol).

A tangent:
Paranoid schizophrenia and other bouts of mental instability can be explained through biological study, which is, at its root, organic in nature. This means nothing, though, when one considers how a Devil became serpent, or a god became flesh. Believing in different spirits/beings taking different forms is a key factor for the Christian, whether or not one imagines it or sees it, accepts it or is in denial. Therefore, I think it probable that a number of symptoms of psychological or physical ailments experienced are extensions of the spiritual (seen or not). This does not mean counseling is not helpful, or that medication is harmful. This just looks at how a Christian cannot compartmentalize the physical from the spiritual.

A shadow person, also known as a shadow figure, shadow being or black mass,[SUP][1][/SUP] is an alleged paranormal entity. Paranormal researcher Heidi Hollis has expressed the belief that shadow people are malevolent supernatural entities.[SUP][2]
[/SUP]

A number of religions, legends, and belief systems describe shadowy spiritual beings or supernatural entities such as shades of the underworld, and various shadowy creatures have long been a staple of folklore and ghost stories.
Several physiological and psychological conditions can account for reported experiences of shadow people. These include sleep paralysis,[SUP][3][/SUP] illusions,[SUP][4][/SUP] or hallucinationsbrought on by physiological or psychological circumstances, drug use or side effects of medication, and the interaction of external agents on the human body. Another reason that could be behind the illusion is sleep deprivation, which may lead to hallucinations.[SUP][5]
