Some know I’m finding way back to God. Last night at work I cursed 4 times and got mad at 2 of my associates and yelled. I felt so bad had to walk off the floor. I need a verse please to read at night by myself when I do these things that aren’t the Christian way. I’m so bummed right now I do not want to go back to old ways. I just need to read some words of comfort till I have mind soul and spirit back to the word and life of God. I know God has my back without every letting me down. It just kills me I let him down by old actions. Even wife said on her way to work as I’m getting home what’s wrong? I said I’m not a good Christian.
Sure, we need to control our tongue...
James 3 shows us how hard it is, yet Paul tells us this...
Heb 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
And John helps us here...
1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
We have a great High Priest who, upon our heartfelt repentance and seeking forgiveness, turns to the Father and says "forgive him" and the Father does.
Psa 130:3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
Psa 130:4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
